Everyone keeps bringing up failure like it is a bad thing. If you never DO then you will never fail.....Failure is part of DOING. How you view it, deal with it, and come back is what matters. I don't think it is bad at all. To quote

And it's funny - because being up 4 pounds is your reason not to put much stock in the scale, and it's my reason that I check the scale more often. Getting used to water fluctuations on a daily basis and having the data (as long as you don't obsess and make it an issue) - can really help you determine what's going on, or stop you before you blow an entire week. But both sides have merits and I don't disagree with you...it's just interesting how different methods yield the same success in different ways.
