Embrace it...Enjoy It...Make Love To It !!

Does it burn calories if I give you my full support while laying in bed still half asleep? I mean ... at least I am thinking about the cardio ... ?
Was I running through your dreams? Ha

Embrace it...Enjoy It...Make Love To It !!

Yah, it fcuked me up pretty good.

I got a lot of the "are you ok, you look sick" comments because I skipped the makeup process in order to train.

I have a buddy like that. He got a Samsung 6, and never changed over to it because he had not ever got a protective case and didn't want to mess it up. I was like Uhm... you paid for it, if you don't use it that is the biggest waste of money. He put it off long enough our company changed companies, he ended up with an iPhone from them and not the Samsung 6 has been in the box for over 2 years never used.

Moral of the story - Get that damn truck out of the garage!!!! Go drive the hell out of it on the beach or something fun you should be doing with it.

Dilemma... Help!

I told my coworker that I needed someone to fix my house before I get it painted, and he told me that he would fix it plus do the paint for $1500. It's a great deal but he's been hassling me for the past 3 days about wanting all the money up front for supplies.

I'm just like.... Ugh, can you calm the F down. I just wanted him to check out my house and MAYBE I'll have him do it. I don't know him that well yet and I don't want to just give him $1500 up front. What do I do?!? Help!

Doll, if he can't afford to buy fckin materials, he can't afford to work on your house...

If he can't afford to buy materials, what's his warranty policy look like? What's his insurance/bond? Where's the estimate writeup? Where's the contract? Did he even take a look at the place before he bid it? Tell him you don't want to hear him speak to you until he puts a DETAILED description of work/materials list in your hand.

I agree one million percent with herderdude!

But once you have the estimate, break the work down into individual tasks. For example painting is one task. If you have different colors or rooms, then each room/color is one task. Make it as granular as possible, then you pay upfront for materials one task at a time. If one room is $100 in paint, you give him $100 and not a penny more until he is done. Make sure your agreement is that you guarantee continued work on the basis of quality and completion on the agreed schedule. If he gives you a date and does not show up until two days later, while you're sitting there like a schmuck waiting for his sorry ass to show up, you let him finish that task them have him move on.
Been there. Got stuck with a guy that somehow got himself into trouble, so he was getting money up front from one client to pay for supplies for the previous job. And he wouldn't show up because he was finishing the previous job. I didn't figure out what was going on until after it was all agreed.

Basically make sure your financial exposure is as small as possible if you have to walk away. Losing $100 is easier to swallow than losing $1500.
Then again, if you are getting bad vibes, it might be better not to get involved.

Get estimate first! There's never a charge for estimate maybe even a second opinion after he quotes you.

Thanks, guys, you're all correct and after reading these posts, I cancelled with him. I rather pay a professional a little more to have it done correctly. He was going to bring his teenage nephews to help and he also wrote up this stupid "contract" at work.

I'm just painting the outside of my house and I already had a professional painter lined up, I just needed a handy man to help fix some of the dry rot.
UncleSarm- That's exactly what I don't want. My old boss always used one job to pay for another cuz he never had money to get supplies. Then he would take longer to finish that project.
Herder- You are so damn correct, I should know all this since I've worked in the industry. You pay for what you get and with shady people these day, you have to be a lot more cautious.

Three people at the gym.

I love my gym but it's so out of the way and the hours aren't that great. I'm contemplating about leaving it for a gym closer to home. Sigh****

Haven't worn chucks to the gym in forever! I was afraid that they would be uncomfortable but they're pretty awesome. :)

Love the color on those chucks Puccah! I have about 10 different colors I rotate between haha.

Ugh I wish it was 93 here, it was in the 60s and rainy all day. The hotter the better for me!

Well shît, come on over to CT then. Hopefully you'll still be waking up hot, naked, sweaty, and satisfied but at least it will be raining.

I read it going to be one of the worse summers ever, good luck over there lol.

My summer goal is to stay inside. I was thinking about hiking next weekend but.... Nope!

Yall come down here to good ole Bama!!!!! lol I'm jk but for real, I played in a Saturday softball tourney all day Saturday. This is 3 weekends in a row. This past one 92 with 90 percent humidity. We had a tstorm pop up and lightening struck so we had to clear the fields. We sat for close to 40 minutes and then Sun shine play ball. Around 8 clock it was down to 80's but was still so humid that it was like being in sauna. This Saturday yeah 95 high no clouds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd love to come down to Alabama. Good food, great weather, and awesome culture. Count me in.

I have been in California's 90-93 degrees... no big deal at all. Felt like an 80 degree day here in Houston with our usual humidity. Only heat you feel is from the sun shining on you. Not like here where the heat surrounds you in a constant steam bath...

Here's to 2 a day sessions. I'm going to check out these 2 shows in the next 2 weekends.

Eric Thomas is a bit pricey but it'll be worth it. A lot of great motivations in the next two weeks. :)

The heck is edc?! That techno crap?!?

Lol, it's for motivation

I actually really enjoy watching motivational speakers. I usually just watch clips on YouTube but I'm sure going to a live event would be a cool experience too. Surprisingly, I like watching a lot of Andrew W.K.'s motivational speeches, he's funny yet makes some really great observations on life.

"When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, you'll be successful"- Dr. Eric Thomas

And therein lies the problem. Success is predicated on two things.
The first one is being in the right place at the right time. And how do you place yourself in the right place at the right time? You don't because you can't.
The second one is being willing to keep trying and failing until you (hopefully) succeed.
Simple formula really and for every successful person, there are 100 who just end up broke. Of course you need to have a worthwhile idea. It doesn't have to be great, but just good enough.
