We could have gone much more novel (we had 50+ ingredients on our brain storming list), but we went with what works. The reviews on this are killer and the research backs it. Sometimes its better to go simple and use what works.
I agree. And I am not trying to be hard. Like I said, I really like PES and buy a ton of your stuff. My cabinets are full of Select, Amino IV, TruZMA, High Volume. Norcodrene and Shift are go-to fat burners for me. On that front, I'm a fanboy.
I also hold PES to a high standard, and this was presented as being novel and the ingredient list was kept secret like it was a totally new approach. It just isn't that much of a change.
Having said that - PES has surprised me in the past. For instance, I tried Alphamine and wasn't impressed, and then after taking a break and coming back to it and using it more, I was more and more impressed with it and I really like the product.
Like I said - the product looks to be good quality, and quality can make a world of difference. And the feedback is good. So, at the end of the day, despite not being a crazy new direction, if it works that's what matters. Who cares about novel ingredients if they don't work.
I'm interested to see how you approach the piceatannol oral bioavailability concern.
Like, Passion Fruit Seed does also contain quite a bit of resveratrol, and co-administration of the two does significantly increase AUC for piceatannol, in part because some portion of resveratrol is metabolized into piceatannol, and in part because they both occupy the same metabolic pathway.
Still didn't look hugely promising to me at the time.
Resveratrol and Piceatannol are super interesting, and the inclusion in this product, IMO, is the most novel thing about it. But at the end of the day, they aren't novel ingredients either. Although the application may be novel.
Again - novel isn't what's REALLY important here. I was just excited to see something new.
