Kat and Puccah's Strong is the new sexy log

F Valentine's Day.... Walking Dead is back on tonight!!

My brother came over yesterday and watched it all day. I was like wth?!? Why does everyone like that crap?! Please explain it to me!!!!

Patriots fan
Bruins fan
Walking Dead fan

You're falling off my favorite AM person list!

Do not associate TWD with the Patriots and Bruins like that!

Haha, you boys kill me!

Quick freakin' session! I overslept and almost said fcuk it but I wanted to start out the week strong. Very little to no rest in between sets for all my sessions.

Yes, the weights never lie. A 45 will always be a 45! Although I did see a site that sells fake plates! :D

That's one way to lift more weight!!

I wasn't in the mood to train. I'm tired and exhausted and need to wake up early to train again since I have class til 10 tomorrow. Can I quit school now?!?

Aren't they all dead? My brother came over and turned it to that stupid show. I asked him what the big hype was then I turned the channel....

Where's Puccah?

Haha she's around. Just not on much. I've been so busy, I haven't been on much either.

I saw your post earlier.

What're you up to?

Just the cake business has been really busy on top of regular work and kids soccer as well as working with the college kids/church.

Ok powerlifters and great squatters...I need some tips and help with hip mobility! I'm having pain and difficulty with the muscles along the front of my hips. (Hip flexors etc) My squat strength has been sucking my. Tbh I am not very flexible in that general area. Causes pain other times as well. I have tried some mobility drills but I'm guessing nowhere near enough. My hips seem to be the only thing that really hurts with squats - not my legs. Very frustrating!

I visit the Chiropractor. I know not everyone likes them or utilizes them but been seeing one for 10yrs and no issues.
Others utilize foam rolling. There ate many options out there to purchase at Rogue or EliteFTS.
Then of course, YouTube vids are also helpful. Many people have posted their styles of loosening their hips online. Hope this helps some.

It has been a while since I've been to a chiropractor! They seem to help a bit with my other pain issues so I'll do that. I do foam roll some but maybe 2 times a week for 5-10 mins. Thanks for the help. I'll keep looking for videos.

I have this problem if I don't do mobility prior to all lower days, and I'll do them sometimes after.

The following link (YouTube Playlist) has 10 videos, but the 3 named should help you with this.

1) Banded OLY Wall Squats -
I do these in between sets. Usually after 2-3 warmups. They stretch the groin, hips, and inner thigh but it isn't taxing. Also, when I wrap the band around my knees I'll stretch it first in a deep squat and move my hips around. Takes as long as you want. In between sets I'll do them 30sec to 2 minutes.

2) Banded Hip Series -
I do these before squatting and usually after a set or two of body weight squats. It gets your azz and hips warmed up. Takes about 3-5 minutes.

3) Squats, the day after -
I have not done these. I believe Herder swears by this (someone does), and I really need to incorporate them.

Hope they help:

Thank you! Those are great videos! Definitely very helpful! Will work on it this week! Currently I am squatting 3 x's a week so I need it. Each day with a different focus though.

I do swear by the day after squat routine. A stop down on Idlewilde boulevard off of Bluff road on a Wednesday night would be your best bet to getting this sorted out in a succinct manner.

I'm back....
