Subbed for another 275 lifter.
Yeah for the last few years I've been back and forth between a 4 and 5 day schedule. I cut out a lot of the crap and streamlined it down to 3 days.Looks good to me. Similar to what I end up with on 5-3-1, just with squat/dead together. Which is fine to me.
4 days a week with 1 week every 4 being a deload, and more focused workouts (around 1 hour) is awesome. I'd love to spend 3 hours a day in the gym everyday but lift gets in the way. I feel like the shorter workouts are much more focused and even effective anyways. It's all about finding what works for you. I was doing 3 a week a couple months ago as well.
Getting ready to go hit some squats and deadlifts here in a little bit. I'm going to go in there and see how I feel today. No plans just throwing some weight.
As in DC style?
Yup. Im considering taking a run at that 6 week program. What do you think of it?Wendler T-Nation article?
I like it. The combination of the 5/3/1 percentages and then grinding out the accessories DC style should be intense. Throw in the fact it's only 2 days a week and it is money for anyone pressed for time. There is also another program by Wendler that my son is going to do over the summer. Google Jim Wendler Frequency Project...serious intensity.
got the idea from here...i may have to do some pin presses now
Fried chicken?![]()
Nice CG dude. Looked easy as hell
It looked like 2-3 reps were there for sure.
They asked KK why his grip is narrow and he's huge. He said its all about the activation of the lats.
He just might be on to something.... Sounds like I'll be doing some experimentation on Thursday with my grip.
Awesome benching, still jealous
Got some size n strength going on bro. All this from NeoVar and Pink Magic supps?
I am.planning to do a log soon though.
Bands for speed work great for me. But man, do they trash my pecs and shoulders.
Yeah every few weeks I ditch the bands and just do 5x5 with straight weight.
