Good point. I tried a couple of weeks back to figure out how much added "PA" content these other mTOR signaling molecules would add to our 7% assumption for most granules, but was told that PS in particular was only present in very small concentrations (less than 1%).
Yes, but there is a high dose of PC,PE and PI :)
 
Taking more than 2g of PA, its not bad idea taking it post too. Studies are showing PA is activating mTOR anyway (without physical stressors such as workout, but would work best taking pre due to enzymes that are released during the exercise and they convert more of PA into LPA, and then LPA activating mTOR) but taking post would give you even longer period of mTOR activating :)

Lets say you want to take 10g PA daily, i believe it would be best to spread it thru the day BUT a big dose should be pre!
But below 2g ,I would just take it pre

I'm dosing the majority pre, but including some post based off of the results of the study and to keep mTOR activated for (hopefully) an extended period of time.

We have previously examined the absorption kinetics of 1.5g PA and observed an increase in plasma concentration after 30 minutes. PA concentrations appear to plateau between 1 and 3 hours following ingestion while peaking at 3 hours following ingestion. After 7 hours, PA concentrations remained elevated. In addition, LPA demonstrated a bimodal absorption kinetic with plasma concentration peaking at 1 hour, returning to baseline at 2 hours, and peaking again at 3 hours

Didn't read that study until now. Haven't actually read to much into it just went by what u and a few others say on here. Haven't had time to really dig deep but u def give in depth info. I appreciate that.

But based on what u just showed me wouldn't it be better to dose the other dosing about 3 hours after first? No immediately post workout? Unless you guys workout for 2-3 hours. Lol I know I don't. My workouts are 1-1:30 hours tops

The reason I dose it right after workout is to make it easier:) you can ofcourse take it 1-2 hours after your workout
 
Jumped right into 4tbsp pre workout. SL demolishes a ninjas fat macros geez.

Workout days I'm doing 4tbsp pre workout

Of days
1 tbsp w/breakfast 1 tbsp w/dinner

I have to say, I'm noticing an even bigger increase in pump and now some endurance benefits as well at 3 tbsp pre (2tbsp with preworkout meal, 1 tbsp with pre-workout supp). I even hit a deadlift PR today! Not sure if that's placebo or not, but I'm going to up it to 4 tbsp next week. We shall see what happens. Even if all I get is more muscle fullness, I'm sold. I look way fuller than I did during my last cut. It's nuts. <3 PA

Being on PA (higher dose),Musclefullness,strength and size gain (even weightgain without eating more than usualy), appetite increase and bigger pumps are not placebo :)
 
I thought I'd give fearn liquid a go since I've gone through 3 tubs of the granules already. Anyone had a go with the liquid yet?
 
Based on a response I rec'd from VC and if their lecithin was de oiled, they said liquid lecithin wouldn't be, whereas granules by definition are...fwiw...

Yes, and, according to the American Lecithin Company, liquid lecithin has less PA % than de-oiled lecithin granules (and I'm going to assume also less than all lecithin granules).

I went 3 days without lecithin granules, since I just got to Canada, but I managed to pick up 800g of Natural Factors lecithin granules. They don't specify de-oiled, but they did list a minimum of 20% PC. Just in case they have lower amounts of PA, I'm going to be running 4-5 tbsp per day during my stay in Canada. These granules are interesting, as they are very fine, much finer than Fearn or Optima. I'll keep you guys updated, but I was feeling a bit flat the last day or two, and feel a bit fuller after getting my days worth of PA, although that could very well mental.

At a guess it could be a condition of using Cheminutra's 'Mediator' (to have Mediator as part of a blend in a product).

And/or its a way for products using Mediator to have a point of difference from each other.
 
For Aussies looking at Soy Lecithin and have come across Lotus brand, I received and email saying their PA percent was 4-7%.
Does that seem about average? Anyone know a better % available here at a reasonable price?

Making an executive decision here...

I train in the PM. So what I'm gonna do is add in a SL dose in the morning with my whey shake, in addition to my PM pre&post workout doses.

Reasoning is twofold:

1. Compounds in SL have been shown to reduce cortisol to some extent (even if mild), and cortisol can be higher in the AM

2. I'm looking to activate mTOR an additional time during the day for hopefully improved recovery before the next evenings workout.

Findings to be reported soon....

On another note, I'm going thru Fearn tubs like water : /

Yup. I have no problem taking 4 tbsp. I think the main issue is people's stomachs and their ability to handle it.

I haven't an issue, sucks for the ones who do lol

I figure I'll try 3tbsp pre and 1tbsp post for w/o days and 1 tbsp am/pm for rest days. See how this goes.

Im going to go ahead and get another 3lb tub of swansons granules lol I haven't even dented the one I just got, but it's inexpensive and has a plethora of benefits.
 
I will admit that I wasn't sure this would do anything more then maybe a mental belief that it was doing something... but this is truly an awesome supplement. Cheap, easy to chew on, good taste, and great pumps! Thanks to all of you for explaining what it is and does. I'm sold! Loving it. (3 scoops pre, 1 post).

Since I had plenty of Biotest Micro-PA (Mediator PA) and I bought Phospha Muscle from Muscletech (mediator PA too), I am combining caps with Lecithin :)

-1.5g from phospha Muscle
-750mg from Micro-PA
-about 2g from SL

I have been dosing 4g from SL but honestly i got tired of long lasting aftertaste from SL lol. Thats why I am combining caps and SL

To be honest with you, there would be some benefits (health benefits) running SL on cycle, but the anabolic side, it would be like adding extra waterdrop to the ocean :)
I would rather use ArA,PA,HMB FA, (-)Epicatechin while on PCT and and NOT during the cycle.

Is that an online store? Have been searching all over for high phosphatide SL

There are maaaanny online stores that carry it...google: lecithin granules
...some will list the phophatide %...fearn, Puritan pride, optima (I believe) to name a few..

Yes there are many, just not many local (in australia) that specify high content. May have to get it shipped in or just eat more of it lol
