Orientation was pretty awesome tonight! I am going to start running and going to their classes. :D I tried to sneak out after the class but the Sergeant caught me and asked how I liked it. I told him that I really enjoyed it. He then asked if I was heading to the gym. Ahhhhh... I'm so tired! Lol, he said that he was going so I said I'll meet him there! :D

Oooh, I found something awesome last night. I couldn't find my Vibrams, so I chalked up my feet while deadlifting. I swear, chalk is magic when lifting! :D
 
Vitamins should be taken with food for absorption. If I take a strong multi on an empty stomach I feel sick for hours.

Multis, generally yes. As long as the meal does not contain a lot of calcium which will bind to and negate many minerals.

This is great too, as long as it doesn't bother your stomach for fish oil and multis while fasted


I take my multi at breakfast, as I almost always incorporate whole eggs and have decent fat content. I also take my fish oil then.

No weight training today! Got to sleep in until 6. I got 30 mins of sprints in at lunch yesterday and went into the gym at lunch for cardio today as well.

Warmed up with a 5 min light run

Tried to do Tabata but the rooms were taken so I improvised at did 25 mins of Tabata on the treadmill! 20/10 seconds @7.5-7.8 mph I haven't done Tabata like that before! It was killer!! I was dripping! Then did 15 mins slow on the stair climber doing side leg lifts. (20 each side before switching)

Also did a few side lateral raises just to get the blood flowing.

Lol it's rough but fun at the same time! I'd much rather do that than run long distance any day!

If your going to run 5k is the perfect distance of the longer runs. You can do it fairly quickly at a higher intensity. That takes practice though.

With no training I was able to do a 12k (SF bay to breakers) run like it was nothing. Took about 65-70min at a good clip and nothing about me I a runner.
 
agreed... 5k (3.1mi) isn't bad at all... 20-30min is plenty.

Got a spot on my incline drop set and was able to hit a rep PR! After that those muscles decided they were done- Keats giving out on me! Lol
