LOL, no doubt. There were so many plans to remodel everything and we decided it made much more sense to wait until they are a little older unless we plan to do it twice.

My 2 terrors at school during drop off the other morning.

Thank god for tiled floors......

They can be a blessing and a curse my little guy likes to throw temper tantrums and bang his head on the floor which happens to be tile. Walking around all lumpy I'm seriously considering getting him a helmet and a leash

Some close friends of ours have kids that we have had problems with over the last year. Wild, no respect, always getting in minor trouble, eat sugar all the time, etc.. Basically the kids you see and say that you are glad they aren't yours. The biggest problem is that they are good friends, just crappy parents. And it reflects on our kids because there is an influence. Everywhere we go, their kids are running around and causing a scene. The other night the little girl picks up a waitress tray at the restaurant and places cups and plates on it and then drops it, breaking glass everywhere. The mom laughs and says that it was a learning experience and then never says a word to their kid.

So last night my wife talks to our friend about this and why it is a problem and the response was, " well, we don't parent like you and decided that we need to let our kids figure life out on their own. We'll stop them from hurting themselves, but otherwise, they are going to get it on their own."

I was pretty blunt and said, " what the hell is wrong with you? Will you feel this way when they are in jail in 10 years?" :( I know it was wrong of me, but I can't believe that they have basically checked out of being parents.

Sucks and I am venting, but I just can't get over this mentality and with really good friends of ours that we will not be able to hang out with like we used to.

this sounds familiar:(

We know people who are cool friends but horrible parents. It's too bad because I'll sacrifice the friendship over unruly kids. My kids are polite and respectful. We worked hard on that.

They'll see how right you were at some point. It'll be a learning experience for them as well.

Thanks man, you too! I had a great first fathers day. Golf with my old man yesterday and a cookout today at my grandpas with everyone. Feeling pretty blessed right now.

I m a blessed man with awesome kids !
I can't wait till next year. Happy Father's Day to all and also a shout out to all the single moms who get no help from their scumbags ex's. I feel your pain :)

Congrats dude and get your sleep while you can fatherhoods a whole new ballgame.

Ain't that the truth and hold onto your hat Ede! These next few months, the fun is just starting. My little girl is 16 months now and the difference from her first birthday is crazy! I am amazed daily and what she now understands, how good she's getting at communicating, and she's even started mimicking the sound of words! Not to mention, she's all over the place!!!

Lol.....looking forward to it. She is getting a bit frustrated with not being able to move on her own.

She doesn't crawl....but her walking chair is like a race car;)

My little boys 2 years 4 months and all over the place he can almost do a pull up to lol we were at GameStop after I had some dental work done and I had to put him down cause he headbutted me in the jaw, runs and grabs the doorhandle and pulled himself halfway up. Was a proud moment for me.

LOL! We got an "incident" report from her daycare a couple weeks ago. One little boy tripped and fell accidentally kicking her while she was sitting on the floor playing. So, she decides to bite him in the leg in retaliation!

Lol.....karma:)

Any of you guys have twins? I'm about 3-5 weeks away from twin girls... The house is about to get crowded!!!

I have twin nieces that are 13 now. Cutest little babies ever and they've been and still are best friends, it's really cute. Hard for me to tell em apart for the longest time too!

yup! Identical twin girls man, talk about shaking things up!!

I've got a buddy that was in your boat about 7 years ago. One thing he said is that you adapt. And when people ask you if you thought it was harder having two right out the gate, you'll think their silly for asking because you didn't know any different. I think you're lucky in one sense, my love has grown so much for just one little one that I can't imagine how much more I can love when my wife and I have another. You get to have your love expand two fold right away. It's amazing how the heart expands, but it certainly does! Kind of sappy, but once those little beauties are born you'll know. You'll know.

My little one arrived 3 weeks ago. We were surprised and it was a boy. 6lb 3oz. 20 in.

Prob the best day if my life. When I looked and saw him fir the first time it was unreal. The feeing yiu get is indescribable. He has been a stinker here and there keeping us up but he is totally worth it. He is becoming a moose though as he is already over 8lbs. :)

Man, this is a great thread! It's nice to see so many good daddy's out there. I have three kids...10 year old daughter, 7 year old boy, and a 9 month old baby boy. The two older ones are at the age now that they are running me ragged lol. My daughter plays select softball and indoor and outdoor soccer, and my boy plays rec baseball and soccer. I also help coach my daughters ball team. Between camps, practices, and games I hardly ever seem to get a break. Throw a baby into the mix and it gets pretty stress full at times. I wouldn't trade it though. I absolutely love watching my kids in sports, and most of their best friends are on their teams. The baby was 9 lbs. 11 oz. when he was born and eats constantly. He's just under nine months now and weighs 28 lbs. This week he learned to crawl and pull himself up to his feet, so just a matter of time before he's walking. Enjoy the little things....it goes by quick.

Congrats man! I'll never forget when I first laid eyes on our little lady. Def a game changer.

Damn dude, he's a hoss! My girl turns 9 months in a little less than a week and she's about 20ish pounds, and crawling everywhere!

LOL, my 6 year old little girl just broke 40lbs and she eats like a horse. We just can't get enough activities in and burns it all off. Our 3 year old, well, she could break 40lbs in about 6 months.

Congrats man! I know the feeling. I'm not an emotional guy, but when my daughter was born my eyes got a little moist.

They had no idea the baby was as big as he was. It's kind of funny....when he came out it looked like he had pecs already lol. I was trying to think wtf I was taking when he was conceived lol. He's a toad, but on the flip side my 10 year old daughter only weighs about 55 lbs. She's pretty much the smallest girl in all of the sports that she plays, but she has plenty of fire.

Awesome thread and dads in here. I applaud all of you guys for being there for your kids. We have a son who is almost 5, a 15mo old daughter and another boy on the way who should be here around December. They can bring total joy to your life and can also bug the hell out of you but it's so worth it lol.

Thanks nicksox15 what a great thread idea! I have a son who is almost 3 years old and another boy who will be coming any minute now! I'm feeling very excited to have another little boy around the house, but at the same time a little anxious/nervous about how different things are going to be. My son does everything and goes everywhere with me. When I mow the lawn he rides in a backpack carrier. When I run errands, he comes with. Once there is two boys, it's going to make that a little hard.

^ congrats on your 2nd boy! That's awesome!!

I'm gonna need this thread for advice soon....my 2 girls are also coming any day now! I have sooooo much pink shît in my house!

Wow! Good luck my friend and enjoy the ride. Even when it seems impossible you will look back and laugh and say it really wasn't that bad.
