It has been politely communicated to you and everyone within earshot that it is these sort of posts that are not appreciated or welcome yet you are very slow on the uptake. It does not matter who likes or dislikes aside for the board staff.

Patience has been extended to you and others yet the behavior persists. Would you rather the sledgehammer approach be used?

I didn't even notice until you mentioned it. I can't recall the meter/measure for points aside from approve/disapprove. I can't recall any neg reps but who knows. I think it may be inactivity. There's not much I engage in otherwise as I'm an old man in a younger crowd community :(
 
No, there is quite a bit of wiggle room and if you load up one side, the heavier side has about a 2" difference- enough to allow a weight to slide after several reps.

That must be one hell of an old machine. Even if it isn't, that thing needs to be replaced. Smith's shouldn't have that much play in them.
 
Speaking of smith machines.... Dude today had drug a bench over from a good distance away to do bench on the smith machine. With 25 lbs on each side.

Yes, I can understand where you're coming from here. But, circumstances like not having a spot when you're "going heavy" could be a reason for him using it. Not everyone is social enough to feel comfortable asking a stranger to spot them either.

But, yes it may build a bad habit if used too much when someone just begins lifting.

^^^If he was going heavy, I don't blame him. If I go heavy on bench and do not have a spot and no one looks like they will be a good spot, I will set up in a power rack, just in case. That setup looks perfect for him if he gets stuck.

saw the worst of all type of dbags... i was going to the gym, listening to y justin beiber, getting ready to crush BICEPS ONLY, and srsly just wanted to curl some heavy weight (the bar with some 10s, getting crazyzyy) and this mother ****er was squatting... perfect form, below parallel IN MY CURL RACK. THE AUDACITY.

I went up to him and told him he had some chicken legs, he cried, so I then proceeded to curl in the curl rack, another day, another dbag squatter. Sheesh. Those guys i tell ya.
 
I had a good gym go-er today. Kinda friendly with him talk on occasion. I was about to do reverse banded squats in the cage. He was doing rows. I asked if I could talk him into using the squat rack next door. He's like hell yeah I wanna see big weight on that bar though.
 
People always bag on people "curling in the squat rack" but now there is a rising of "curling on the bench", WE MUST TAKE ACTION BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!!!
 
Gotta love the douch bag that's benching one plate as his partner screams LIGHT WEIGHT!!! LIGHT WEIGHT!!!
