PES Select Protein: Read up!

Coop, what do you use to find most of your resources? Seems like you have an answer for every question whenever something is addressed? where do you source most of your info from? or are you always researching?

I believe he had/has access to all the good stuff due to his area of study, and/or by way of the University he is attending.....plus the research, research, and more research aspect lol.

He has a lot of access to studies, but I can assure you his level of knowledge is from understanding the processes and not merely knowing the outcomes of the studies.

I got to actually spend time with Cooper @ his university when i went to visit him. I do not really recall him stating that, but i may be wrong. I know its something he does enjoy, and take pride in. But damn if anyone ever has a question he has a valid response and research to back it up. Guy knows his stuff that is for damn sure which is why i respect him for not giving or sugarcoating advice to anyone.

I also respect his opinion and guidance. Dude is unbelievably intelligent and wise for his age. Coop for president! :D

Learning is a lifelong pursuit in which we are all students

Background knowledge definitely helps. I have an idea of what to expect and can further expound upon that with recent research

Thanks guys, means a lot. I could say the same about both of you when it comes to training and diet. Merry christmas!

Well, all I know is Snickerdoodle is the best tasting protein I have every consumed. I was floored and protein is really not something I usually stray from the basics with as I typically make my own smoothies with fruit and ice and milk. But Snickerdoodle in water was f*cking amazing.

Too cool sir. Thanks for the support. I'd say we nailed it with yet another product! :)

Nice to see another south sider on here! It's going to take a lot for me to even try another flavor now that I have been using Snickerdoodle and I 100% agree that it only needs water to get to that level of amazing flavor!

I feel guilty drinking my Snickerdoodle protein shake, it tastes soooo good it MUST be bad for me. I feel like having a nice cold glass of whole milk just like I do with my snickerdoodle cookies. Hopefully my wife does not try it and like it, then she'll use my products :(

Where you from my friend?

I've got more protein on hand than I'll ever be able to consume so I was hesitant to pick up select protein. Luckily a friend of mine had grabbed all three flavors and sent me a couple of scoops of each.

--

Chocolate - 6.5/10
Chocolate is chocolate, not overly sweet like many brands, so that's a plus. Nothing groundbreaking though

C&C - 5/10
Not very impressed with this one. Most C&C protein disappoints me though, it doesn't seem like that difficult of a flavor to hit.

Snickerdoodle - 8/10
It's no XF cinnamon roll, but it's good, hits my palate as more of a cinnamon protein than a snickerdoodle protein as I would expect a snickerdoodle protein to be a fair amount sweeter, at least, based on what snickerdoodles taste like.

(Note: Inb4 people who don't understand that 5 represents average on a 1-10 scale decide I'm a hater)

--

On sale I would probably buy the snickerdoodle on occasion.

I did the same as your friend....one of each for a recomp/lean bulk starting tomorrow...arrived this morning with np bulk na-rala. Maybe for once i won't have to hold my nose when drinking my protein powder? lol. There is no way it tastes as good as OG chocolate hot stuff or HWgainer 900 :D

Ultimate Nutrition has the most rancid nausea inducing protein of all time in my book.

This is awesome. I saw it when you said it on our Facebook page, thank you.

From the reviews, I sense that snickerdoodle may be emerging as the leader of the three.

Makes some killer baked goods.
I hope you try the pancake i made (low carb one) its a good one.

I had snicker doodles for my first time the other day. Now I'm tempted to see if Select Snickerdoodle lives up to it :D

Tried Snickerdoodle in almond milk, then another in water. Ice cold water and Snickerdoodle is unreal

CnC ice cream is my go-to if I'm just going to have a shake, always keeping an ice cube tray with frozen almond milk now. 30 seconds for CnC ice cream, yes please.

I rummaged around for the scoop on the snickerdoodle yesterday just to have it opened and ready for today....and I licked my fingers of course....damn that shyt tasted like those big cinnabon cinnamon buns :D We shall see later on today.......

The stuff is truly amazing! I've been mixing the protein with everything for flavoring. CNC is my favorite stand alone for a shake but the snicker doodle is the best for flavoring and spicing things up. For me anyway.

I just (finally) drank the stuff. Tastes like the batter/dough for the cinnamon buns mixed with the cinnamon (due to the consistency of the thicker shake it becomes, sort of like watered down batter/dough)....tastes REALLY good. For maybe the 2nd time with protein powders, I don't mind the taste and it actually tastes good. Now weight gainers? there are some tasty ones, but they have tons of carbs/sugar and fat in them as well....so pretty amazing for 110 cals and 95%? protein or so.

:) thanks for your thoughts! Have to love the macros and no stomach irritation always helps with protein.

I'll try the CnC next, tonight or tomorrow....the chocolate too. I'd like to take 3 scoops per day, but that could get expensive for 8 weeks lol. 2 scoops a day = 2 weeks per container, which is manageable. Now I see the view of the people who want 5 lb'ers for a discounted price :D

Ben, how does your stomach handle Select?

I know you have gut issues with some/most eats.

I don't feel comfortable telling people how many scoops I'm going through a day! It's so hard to pick what flavor I'm in the mood for that I tend to have shake after shake hahah

Speaking of GI distress, its worth stating that I typically get a tonne of it with casein powders or blends. Once upon a time tried a few brands of casein for pre-bed during a bulk, not one second of sleep I was over a toilet.

For how much casein is in this I was very surprised I got zero bloat or GI distress.

I shall let you know once mine arrives with me from across the pond. :)

That is what you get for using messenger pigeon as the courier.

I figured they were using the boat instead of airmail, we are connected by land with the Canadians so I assume they got theirs already? Unless customs busted it open and ate it all like they love to do at the border there.

Got mine before some Americans did lol
