Never used alone. Only in recompadrol.
1) Phellodendron-->BARBERINE,
Lagerstroemia speciosa -- Banaba Extract --> corosolic acid
Gymnema Sylvestra (75% Extract) ----->gymnemic acid
salacia reticulata and garcina cambigia
are (in my opinion) all good for carb control and in a way damage control in cheat meals
2) ALA (r-ala), D-Pinitol, Cinnulin, taurine, chrome , L-Alnine , Fenugreek (4-hydroxyisoleucine ) .... are (in my opinion) MORE to take the best from carbo and food. (to bulk)
When I see (always in my experience) (1) and (2) mixed in a supplement.... I'm always skeptical ...or at least I have to take much attention on use it.
I can agree that Gymnema Sylvestre can be helpfull on both situations.
So I have my Recompadrol, I am going to run something with it, either:
100mg Na-rala (Doctors Best Bio enhanced Na-rala ) with 2 largest meals for total 200mg of Na-rala
Or
300mg of Ala (AI sports alpha lipoic acid) 3 times day for total 900mg of Ala
Or
100mg of R-ala (Primaforce Insopro) 3 times per day for total of 300mg
Or
All with 1-2 caps of Recompadrol (dependant on meal size/carbohydrate content)
What do you think?

I believe the general consensus will be strongly in favor of na-r-ala due to bioavailability and long half life.
Id go with 300mg Na-R-ALA pre-high carb meal and if you can, 300mg with another.
But the one dose of 300mg should suffice because of the half-life of Na-R-ALA.
I thought that might be the response. I've read in a few places of people substituting Na-rala for straight Ala but just using around a 1g to 1.5g due to costs?
