Ever use gymnastic grips? If you are going to be doing a lot of kipping pull-ups, they will help. You'll still get some mean callouses, but they will help stop the mid hand tearing.
Whenever I get bad ones like that, I use gorilla glue. Works great and hurts less than liquid skin. (I whine like a lady with that stuff)

Disappointing. I wanted to hear you cry.
I had my tear ducts surgically removed. Crying is for girls.
Para I don't think you were supposed to use any water big cat. Straight salt to wound. Kinda like straight ass to mouth. You know painful but necessary and surprisingly not so bad. Hahahahah jk jk or am I??
Ok, just plain salt next time. The solution worked well though. Although it's tender to the touch, it's nice and dry now.

I looked into them on rogue. I may invest in a pair to save my hands for future bar work. That or I'll just start shaving my callouses. Probably the cheaper option.

This, I've used it before...
I had neither. Seattle doesn't repave their roads for shlt.

So it wasn't too bad in the water? I heard you do the regulating breathe at the initial sting. Kind of breathe into the sting and gain control I do that too. When I did it I just cut the hanging skin off then got my hand wet and put the salt in my hand in the wound and made a fist and held the salt for about 5 minutes. The initial burn was absolutely retarded. However the improvement was quite noticeable the next day. Curious if the water has any effect on the burn but more importantly any effect on the results.

I guess I am gonna have to develop a big callous then work hard enough to rip it off to find out... ;)

By the way what do you all use for your callous management? My wife has thing that she got for her feet, I took ownership of it now. It is called a Ped Egg.

It safely shaves the callous right off down smooth with the rest of the skin and has a file section in it to file it down even smoother too. I can shave my callouses and smooth them totally out in about 60 seconds per hand. It is basically like a cheese grater for your callouses. Pretty awesome. Here is a link to one of them. Although you can get them at walgreens or wal-mart for cheap too.

Army Physical Fitness Test
For those of you who don't know what it consists of, it's 2 minutes of push-ups, 2 minutes of sit-ups and a two mile run. Pretty simple, right? Here are my results:
Push-up=75 (got up with :30 remaining)
Sit-up=80 (got up with :30 remaining)
Run=12:38 (did not get up with :30 remaining, as that would be impossible)

Each event is graded on a 100pt scale. I scored a 300+

20131025

Warmup
500m row (1:35)
3 rounds of:
5 BW rows
10 PVC snatches
10 PVC OHS

Arm circles
Pass throughs (these have helped tremendously with shoulder mobility and with the AC joint issues I have)
Over and backs
Bear hugs

Burgener warmup (snatch movement progressions)

Workout (95lbs)
Two person team effort, 1 rest, 1 works

1 snatch
3 OHS
36ft OH walking lunge (6 rounds for time)

My partner was a girl using 30lbs so my rest periods were minimal. Walking OH lunges suck dick.

11:28 finished.

Foam roll and piss and moan about how much it sucked.

Thanks guys. Much appreciated. Still putting in work though, it's only gonna get better. And yup, that's Jungle Book, Chris. Not finished but I'm headed back to where the artist is and it'll be finished within the next year. Dan, that two mile time has taken some work. It's doable though, just gotta run.
Who's the skinny guy?
What's funny is, around February you told me I was gonna lean out, significantly. You were right. My goal is 190@10% by the time I hit the one year anniversary of that first log. I'm pretty sure I can get there, just gotta keep pushin. Couple days til Prague, yeah? You're gonna kill it.

I'm limping into Prague brother, I'll tell you what, I'm gonna leave everything in a big puddle on the platform.

The squat (Achilles) is a concern, what's normally my best lift might be my worst...

what happened to the ankle napalm? I just had a pretty bad high sprain on mine about 3 weeks ago. To my surprise squats aren't too bad. I was able to max out yesterday

This, I was shocked to be able to squat quickly after an ankle workout. Of course I am not going for max loads either. Be careful and crush it Napalm.

I've had some insertional Achilles tendonitis for about a month and a half now. When it started I thought it was nothing, but it's got progressively worse. That, my torn stupid fcking brachialis and the oblique I've had for a month is gonna make squatting a little rough.

I'll feel better after I get a Mohawk tomorrow...

I ran a 13:45 2 mile once, a long time ago.

Never been close to that since, don't ever plan too either.

Your situps and then run astound me, my hip flexors always get so beat up from the situps. I never got much higher than 70 on situps, and thats pushing it the whole way.

Although, I typically did what you do for pushups, quick 72 and get up.

Troop, what are your requirements for waist or bmi? The AF just changed, but it's kinda ridiculous.

I roll my hip flexors every day now. Sometimes more than once. I'd like to think it's helped quite a bit. After sit-ups my hip flexors didn't tighten up like they usually would. Matter of fact, I'm about to roll them out now because this morning tested them, for real.

We go by height and weight. If you don't meet the standard you get taped for some mumbo jumbo bf% every age group has a slightly different allowable bf%. We don't measure waist and incorporate into our pt score.

I've thought about bringing a pair of crutches in case the Achilles goes...
Yikes! One of my neighbors had his severed and it was a mofo but he wasn't active and didn't try to push his recovery at all so probably lengthened the recovery time. Lets just hope you don't have to find out! GOOD LUCK!
