Wipe up someone else's mess? I think not buddy...
You don't wipe the equipment you're gonna use? In a public gym?
I go when the gym opens up and I still wipe down stuff I'm gonna be laying or sitting on. Never sure if the workers there do their jobs.

Lol this is true. I get enjoyment watching the short guys leap up to reach the handles or move one of the benches over to use as a step stool :)

I saw a scrawny douche doing pull ups on the smith machine today. His form was hilarious. I can't tell you how bad I wanted him to somehow pull up too fast and jerk the wrong way so that the bar would unlatch.

Not a douchebag thing but why are guys direct training their forearms? I am not talking about bodybuilders who are trying to bring up a lagging body part. Just everyday young guys who might still get asked "do you even lift bro?" It is compounded when you see them using straps also. Mentioned it to a powerlifter guy I know today. Couldn't help but make a joke about wanting to look like they beat off for hours a day haha.

I used to train forearms for hockey until I fully realized the mechanism behind a fast wrist shot. I thought it was strong forearms, strong wrist shot but that is definitely not the case

True, but we were specifically talking about dirty lazy people/gym members leaving their mess on equipment aka "Gym etiquette"...

I agree most people would gain a lot of forearm size if they just dropped the wraps. I used to be one of those guys who used wraps all the time now I barely even use them while shrugging. My grip strength has increased a lot and I have even noticed my forearms are a lot fuller.

I'm not your mommy or your maid, and I don't get paid by the gym to tidy up your messes. 350# fat guy or 250# bodybuilder if you don't clean up after yourself there both the same douche bag in my book.

I am with you. I wipe down pretty much every inch of the arc trainer when I get off it, including the foot pads/pedals and the floor. I don't want to be 'the guy that leaves puddles of sweat everywhere'. I'd venture to guess that the non sweat wipers are also litterbugs, whom all are douchebags.

I have one I'm warming up on the treadmill anticipating doing shoulders ,when I see this 40yr self labeled "trainer" sit down on the independent shoulder press that I was going to start with. So I decide to give her a little time and go warm up the rotator cuffs. 5 mins go by and I approach her on the machine being polite and waiting for her to finish her convo about a restaurant she went to with another tool.
I finally get fed up enough to cut in and she says with attitude she has two sets left. I say great and will wait. Well she to mention she was doing two other machines. So instead of doing the non douchebag thing and banging out the two sets she proceeds to keep on her leisurely pace. I said **** it and went on to something else completing 4 sets before she did her two

That's why I always try and keep my routines fluid. I do make up a routine for every day, but if someone's on what I need I will just do a variation.

Shoulda got a pic of this skinny kid yesterday but I was in the zone on back day. He was standing hunched over with his forearms on his Knees doing wrist curls with 5lb weights on the bar in the rack. It was very strange looking like he was trying to take a dump in the rack while holding a barbell.

Same here. The few times I did it I lost concentration in the time it took to get the shot and post it. Once ya cool down its hard to get that same momentum back

I use to do them with DBS supporting my forearm on my knee for awhile. Did get my forearms a bit fuller and wider but its just so damn boring. I like using my wrist roller at home better. I feel retarded working forearms in the gym using up a bench and DBS for that

He basically doing front delt raises. I'm sure the wraps are so the bar doesn't slip down to his waist. Oh right. It would be impossible with that tool shed roof in the way. Lol

Isn't it funny how times change? When I was a teen/young adult, it was all about the biceps. Now it is all about having a six pack. Wish the damn women would make up their minds about what bodypart makes them the most moist.... :)

One of them acts as "the trainer", both of them suck and look like ****. I feel like punching them really hard.

Of course they do..I simply dont get what the hell they trying to do by only doing squats.
The worst part is I think they are both on winnie. Down here in Argentina every dumbass with no experience at all does winnie.

I work at a university gym and this one guy comes in on a Monday for chest day. He loads the bar up with 415 and sits there psyching himself up. Of course we only have a finite amount of benches so people are waiting on this guy to get done with it as well as others are staring him down as it's an impressive amount to be benching. So this guy takes a solid 8-10 min to pump himself up. He gets down lifts the bar up.... Holds it there for about 5 seconds... Racks the weight. Stands up and says to himself "not today, not today" and promptly exits the gym. I wanted to tell him never to come back.

I think it's funny when I see dudes load up plates on any exercise, do half reps, then look around like they're the top dawgs cuz they did x amount of weight for a few half reps...

Hit legs today & after finishing box squats, I went to use the leg press & this guy was on it. Saw him do about 8 not even half reps with 8 plates, sees me standing there, winks & smiles like he's such a bad ass. He starts wiping down the backrest & then he was going to start unloading the plates & I told him he could just leave them on. He turns around with a confused look on his face like nobody in the gym was as strong as him, chuckled & walked away. So I threw 2 more plates on & did 20 deep reps, got up as he looked at me, winked & smiled right back. Hopefully my douchery was cancelled out for the bigger douchebag vibe he gave off. I'm always modest & never a show off but the guy needed put in his place.. :p

There is this guy in his 40's or so that comes in every so often. I am almost 6'2 with real long legs and a short torso. He is 5'7. When I do leg presses, I go as deep as possible without looking like some retarded frog. He bottoms out the machine. He tells me I need to bottom out the machine. I tell him no I don't, otherwise I would look like a retarded frog. He says, "Alright, do what you like." I just say, "OK"

I often wonder if we are all D bags in the gym.... I am 36 and been lifting for long enuf to know if you lift weight you gain muscle. Up down, left right. It's a hard place to make friends. The goal when I walk into the gym is to see past all the d bag crap in there and be at war with the weights. If one of the D Bags has a problem with your style, f him. Your not there for him, your there for you!!

Not be be pridefully or anything but I could say I have pretty big arms.

So I start curling 40lb dumbells and these 2 homies skinny as a stick, in beaters charge up and grab the 42.5 and 45 lb dumbells. And are using more lower back curling then there biceps trying to impress the blondie in between us.

That's a douche to me. Trying to out lift me to be mr macho and look like a dumbass in front of everyone.
