Is it me or is it virtually impossible to find nizoral shampoo anywhere?
Try amazon or ebay. Your better of getting revita or regenpure imo. nizoral is drying on the hair.

yeah, but imo nizoral does stop the hair from falling out during a cycle.Try amazon or ebay. Your better of getting revita or regenpure imo. nizoral is drying on the hair.
I would really like to try these products. I know about the ketoconazole shampoos but the other products you mentioned are foreign to me. Can you tell me more about what hyaluronic acid product you use and how you use it? Same with toco-sorb whatever the F that is. I'm in no way on this doc's side. I was just relaying what he said. It seemed to make sense to me, but I have a very open mind to try these other products you mentioned and make my own mind up about it.
Just an FYI - it says right on the bottle that it washes away DHT. I think this is a misleading statement that have led many, including the entire salon community, to think Nioxin is a treatment for MPB.Nixon isnt a hairloss prevention shampoo it is more of a volumizing/thickener shampoo.
wouldn't it be more of a prevention than a treatment?Just an FYI - it says right on the bottle that it washes away DHT. I think this is a misleading statement that have led many, including the entire salon community, to think Nioxin is a treatment for MPB.
Or at least slows it down.

I totally agree with you. But you do realize that Nizoral just contains ketoconazole right? which is the main ingredient in preventing/slowing down hair loss. These new shampoos (revita and regenpure) also contain ketoconazole but also contain a lot of other useful ingredients that prevent hair loss and also encourage hair regrowth. Plus they dont dry out your hair as much.
Think of Nizoral as an outdated ketoconazole shampoo kind of like and iphone 3 for example and think of revita and regenpure .etc as an iphone 5what a great analogy right haha
You know there are prescription anti-fungal shampoos too. Same active ingredient, just a higher percentage. The Ketoconazole shampoos that have been mentioned here are all 1% OTC products. You can get a 2% Ketoconazole shampoo with a prescription. I wonder if that would be the ticket.
This information came to me via a very well respected dermatologist that I paid big money to go see while I was uninsured a few years back. He was actually enraged over the split in the hair-loss community between the real science and the quackery. He explained to me that DHT is an internal thing. It's in the blood. It cannot be "washed" away with any sort of shampoo and any claims to this notion are outright lies (according to him) perpetuated by the manufactures of some of these shampoos. The studies are not legit (he claims) and he says that the only people who don't know this are the consumers - they are the victims. The only scientifically, peer-reviewed methods of preventing hairloss are with the drug finasteride and the topical application of minoxidil. The FDA will not approve any of these shampoos regardless of their claims because the limited studies are not conclusive and what little percentage increases were shown are not substantial enough for these products to be considered a legit MPB treatment. So my advice, keep using your shampoo if you like, but don't forget to also take your fina and your foam.Do with this info what you please. I'm not up for a debate. Cheers.
This doc was all fake and baked, and he walked around with a little hand held digital recorder taking dictation all the time speaking with very big words, not really having a conversation with me, the patient, rather with his recorder and his hot nurse, but while examining me. Like I was a subject to be studied and talked about, but not talked to. It was pretty interesting. The stuff he prescribed me, Extina foam was INSANELY expensive at the pharmacy. Like $300. So you are probably correct Rockme.
Hey, off-topic, but from reading your username, do you play piano? If so, are you a Lyle Mays fan?
No, but I am very serious about taking a turn in the jazz direction. I have to sooner or later. Any serious player has to do jazz. I know very little about it. I can fake it, but that's it. Will be studying it in the years to come. I listen to very few jazz musicians. Probably people you have not heard of.
I didn't mean to say no, I don't play the piano. Yes I do. It's my life. I meant I'm not a fan "yet" of the guy you mentioned. But will check him out.![]()
Thanks for the links!
I found this guy in Texas.
Dr. Bernardino Arocha
His work is the most impressive I have seen. I am seriouslly looking into getting the procedure done when I can afford it. I would need 2000 grafts I think.
I'll bet your dad is excited. I hope it goes well for him.

ironwiz how much ketoconazole would you say is in the revita/regenpure? Would it be equal to the 1%..2%?
Do you prefer one over the other or are they basically the same?I believe they use the 1% version. That way they dont have to worry about prescriptions (in the US at least?). It can ship internationally. And it doesn't have to much of a drying effect.
Do you prefer one over the other or are they basically the same?
There similar bud. But the thing is shampoos like rivita and regenpure also have a whole heap of other great ingredients and are SLS free. While if you chose just to get nizoral 1% or 2% all you are really getting is just the ketoconozle at the relevant percentages.
Everyone is different. If i had to choose i would just get the revita shampoo and conditioner. If money isnt a problem try Nizoral 2% and if it works for you and doesnt dry out your hair than great. But if it does you will need to try something like revita.
I swear you are all over the place LOL and as a matter a fact I think I saw you posted about Tocosorb on another board baldtruthtalk(probably totally different and I'm hallucinating again)..[/QUOTE
Haha. You are correct i am all over the place. But i did not post in baldtruthtalk, however i do have a thread about toco-sorb on this board, check it out![]()

Fin is like $7 for 25 which if you split them into 1/4 that's 100 days from pharmacy
Just started minox liquid. Do u guys have any tips for apply? I have very slight thinning on top and my hairline has started slowly receding. I have kinda long hair. Do y'all wet ur hair before?
Thanks for the info man! What do you think about rubbing the liquid in or just dropping it on the scalp?
Onlinecanadameds.com generic cheap fin, RX required though?
Woh that place is wicked expensive. I think you meant realiable rx pharmacy. Shipping is costly, but if you buy in bulk you'll save a shyte load. 60 tb for 40
My doctor said I could take 1mg and wait 2 to 3 days for the next. Something about a study from australia where they got nearly the same effect with less side effects. 30 days worth is now 70 days worth. Dingus still has functionality - Boom
I think I already mentioned this, but a doctor once told me that exact same thing. You don't have to take it every day. She must have been hip to that same study from Australia.
I would just go to a doctor and pay $50-$60 for one office visit and get a lifetime script for generic Proscar. The drugs will cost just a few bucks if you go to a cheap local pharmacy like Target or Walmart. I pay around $10 for a 4 month supply. (30, 5mg tablets cut into 1/4's) You shouldn't have to go back to the doc ever again. I do however occasionally have to make phone calls to get them to re-up the script, but they always do it.
You're not worried about 1/4 having either no fina or too much fina (as you mentioned) ?
While I do agree, a local pharmacy is less likely for F you over in potency, having a 1mg pill kind of sounds safer in some aspects....
Yes, if I had the money, I would rather do the 1mg tablets.
Truth is, I don't even know what the 1mg tablets cost online. I assumed you were all talking about ordering generic proscar online. What can you get the 1mg tablets for?
