KLEEN & QUEEN Get Lean with PX Black and a FINAFLEX PH Stack!

yah lol I never heard of any of those bands...out of touch with modern music...

Rush is still touring. Enough said.

I grew up with those dudes in the 70's ... the first time I heard them my friend asked for a a Mahongany Ruxh album for Xmas and his parents bought him the first rush album by mistake and we were impressed from the start.

nice try - but i grew up with those dudes in the 70s
you grew up with the beatles and elvis in the 60s ;)

That's true, ok I was a teenager in the 70's ... and we were rockers when they first started out. 74 was the first album and I was 16 . so still had a lot of growin up to do :)

random tidbit - my ex is a yr younger than me, and she never really listened to much music, but Rush is her fav band, Eagles one step behind (and only because she has the hots for Don Henley)
me, i got a steady diet of fleetwood mac from my ma as a child , grew into Rush and Pink Floyd on my own, then in the 80s got a lil harder with old Sabbath and Ozzy, branched into Metallica and that segment in the early to mid-80s

of course, i'm just keeping this to north america, kinda..won't even go into all the different cultural music i grew up with from my grandmother, including my own culture - i do love me some polka tho ;)

Ewww .. gotta draw the line somewhere dude....

The 70's had great music. My son is a Beatles fan and Jim Croce and Neil Young... you name it. He just called be to tell me that he did a careoke of Operator my fav Jim Croce song last night and apparently rocked it. We did Father and Son by Cat Stevens a few months back .. that was a moment.

I do have a weakness for hillbilly music though... love me some bluegrass...

Got a nice day in store for yourself tomorrow Kleen!
Yeah very excited about it.

Definitely some Fleetwood, mine were also into Disco and the Big Band Sounds, so lots of DOnna Summer, Commodores, Earth Wind and Fire, ELO, Doobie Bros. I grew into the PRINCE, then of course all of the metal and hair bands of the late 80's early 90's. Now I like things from most genre's and prefer music the crosses the boundaries between genres. I love industrial metal, and RapCore, then there are the plain and simple rock bands. I don't miss a Nickelback concert. Love them live, they do an amazing show even though for some reason lots of people hate them. So pretty much give me something intense that makes me feel and I am happy.

If you are not familiar with Shinedown but liked the old rock bands then you will love Shinedown. Look them up. The singer is a legit vocalist and the rest of them are true musicians.

Out of everyone on here though I am probably more stoked about seeing Papa Roach again. They are amazing live and I know most of the songs. Hollywood Undead is one I am excited to see l understand the are electrifying. Although you have to like RapCore to like them. P.O.D. puts on a hell of a live show! Honestly so many of these bands are really good. I think the concert sold out in like 15 minutes.
I am sure you have heard of BUSH, you know "Machine Head" that is such a good workout song.

just got elected to rock & roll HOF the other day, Rush did

sure sure, all those as well
I grew into the PRINCE
is he still just a symbol these days? :p

shinedown excellent group, good voice he has

papa roach rocks indeed
I am sure you have heard of BUSH, you know "Machine Head" that is such a good workout song.
ha, that one-hit wonder band of the 90s?
(okay, maybe they had two hits) :p

good taste in tunage, kleenster ;)

I was a Fleetwood Mac fan as well... my most loved music back in the day is Peter Gabriel and Genisis. He should of took the name with him though cuz Phil Colllins ruined them.. for me anyway. Of course I was a Major Pink Floyd fan as well who wasn't back then they were brilliant. Emerson Lake Palmer, King Crimson, Uriah Heap and Jethro Tull... I could go on and on .. Aerosmith there early stuff was very good. Early Queen was good too till they started iwth the Jock Rock and went mainstream.

Nicklkeback there from the Badlands in Alberta, man what a strange place. I lived not too far from Hanna for a year back when I was a Roughneck..

get your wings...is by far my favorite aerosmith album. i found an old fleetwood mac album with a song called hypnotized, never would have guessed it was them....to me music has gone way down since the 70's. damn we were spoiled with some great music!!!

well i did like you..no more tho
how can you not respect phil collins?

trivia: what actress was the inspiration for two top-10 singles, by two different artists?
i will give you a hint: both were in the 80s, first one went to #2 on the charts and second one was peter gabriel's first gold single (gold is denoted by selling confirmed 500, 000 copies)

tom finds his way to old-time discussion, go figure :wave2:

Huge Yes Fan too...there were just so many really great musicians around and that is because for a brief time musicians could do the music they really wanted to do and still make money, it was a magic time.

Rush is definitely good stuff. Aerosmith, I like all most of there music. Yeah BUSH let me down after the first CD, the first CD was good and the second one... Not so much, they tried to reinvent themselves and I didn't like the direction. Same thing happened with Stone Temple Pilots. First CD was fugging AWESOME, second had like 1 good song then he crack rocked until getting with Velvet Revolver now he is all geeking again and screwing up his opportunities.

Now we haven't even gotten into the newer stuff I love, like Disturbed, Trivium, 5 Finger Death Punch, something about that double bass sound that gets me crazy amped for workouts. Speaking of Disturbed has anyone else heard Dave Draiman's project called DEVICE? Sounds good but sounds a lot like Disturbed. I expected him to try a different sound. Heck I heard it was supposed to be very industrial sounding but it is more hard cords and double base with great vocals. Hard to believe that he is trained in Opera.

This is what I am listening to now.. :)

Jealous dude! Love shinedown.

Best concert I've been to was Tool with deftones!
I dig nickel back as well very talented. My dads a musician (bass player) played in Cali outta high school with Santana, tower of power, and many others. So naturally I love jazz music as well.

Looking great Kleen awesome progress

srs? so did he know victor conte?
interesting fella, that cat.. played bass in the band for a short while (he was a cousin of one of the other band members), "created" ZMA, founder of BALCO..a fairly wild career path

Either Marilyn Monroe or Bo Derek but only song that comes to mind is Candle in the wind by Elton John.

He just laughed and said yes!

Everytime I hear the song Rockstar by Nickleback I sing it out loud and heavily regret my presence in the midwest. I gotta get rich and get out of here, no joke.

5FDP has some great double-bass, really good hard grooves for workouts.

Clutch puts on a helluva show, and their music is SO diverse so there's a lot of material to find something you really enjoy - hard rock one minute, blues and jamband the next.

Thanks and that is awesome he played with Santana. What an experience. Santana's style of guitar is fugging amazing!

I FEEL SO YOUNG RIGHT NOW!!!!

Aaaaagggghhhh
Enjoy it, it will pass quickly.

Nice, forgot about Clutch.

Speaking of Nickelback the last show Chad Krueger called out some old guy who started talking **** to him like people always do. Saying the band sucked and were pusseez. All kinds of crap he just made the dude look like such an ass being witty and all. The guy wouldn't shut up so he told him well we are a bunch of pusseez, isn't it going to be embarrassing when this skinny little pusszy whoops your old ass in front of 20,000 people. The crowd went crazy. It was awesome.

Was it Jessies girl? Everyone wanted to be with her. I have her number it is 867530ni-ee-ine... If you call her tell her to "Come on Eilene" if she says it is too far then call her friend. Tell her "I'll meet you all the way.... Rosanna yeah!"

Yes Sir my silly way of answering the question.

So, Concert was great, but the free day did not agree with me. I ended up lying around feeling like I had a rock in my stomach all day the next day. This week and the next few are going to be a bit rough, I am working on rolling out Window 7 to my office of over 200. SO I am working long hours and am very busy. I missed my workout last night and from how it looks I may not make it to the gym today. I am still making progress, and there is a lot of activity so I know I am burning up calories. However I only missed one workout and I am already itching to hit the gym. Tomorrow I will get up early and go but today was no way it was happening. I was up until almost 1:00AM trying to wind down from the amped up stress at work.

To my surprise my free day swole me up like a mofo! I honestly did not even get in the amount of food I should have but a lot of it was tortilla chips and well I swell up on salty tortilla chips like nobodies business. Monday I was 217.4 up from last weeks 209.7, now I can swing 10 lbs of water weight no problem at all off of a clean carb refeed and this one was high in sodium so I held even more water. However to be honest other than being slightly smoother my stomach looks flatter to me and I look much bigger which of course is glycogen and water. I am already back down to 213.4 and expect to be about 210 again by tomorrow.

Those tortilla chips are the devil! They get me every time. Those big weight swings from refeeds can get a bit discouraging sometimes but you are a veteran and know what's going on brother :) keep plugging away man

Fug I just crave everything when I diet this hard, so can't give in an inch. Even things I never normally eat ever look tempting. Has to be a lot on the line to be able to hold out, and there is.

Yeah it is easy to forget that they will swell you up until then but it is water so not worried about it. I know I did not gain fat in one day of eating when it wasn't really even overboard.

Yeah you are doing great and as it gets closer to my show I won't have any of that going on. However I am about 7 months out right now.

Yep that's why I have to go lg when not prepping. I can manage my weight using lg but not conventionally.

I find LG manipulation extremely easy. If I were trying to do the physique type of show I would probably even run it but for body building I am doing better right now with this. I feel the nitrogen balance is more suited for growth with at least 3 and up to however many meals makes you comfortable but spread out a bit through the day.

When I go back to lifestyle dieting I can almost assure you I will migrate back to IF, or sinply 3-4 meals a day and be perfectly happy.

That's another thing size is not that important to me any more. I little here and there fine but quality was the key from me. I had to maintain leanness year round. Up and down was just too touph on me and I never got to where I needed to be cuz I'd be firefighting the fat all the time.

As long as I am competing size is the most important thing. I mean obviously symmetry also but size is pretty important this year. I don't know that it will be next year though.

Here is a glimpse into what I have managed to get in this week regarding food. Although the numbers are pretty low I have not been able to lift this week or do actual cardio so I think this is actually a very minor deficit. Saturday I will be getting a 350 gram carb day so that will refill the stores.
