i love the taste of medium rare so long as it's a good cut
the sirloin i have currently is not all that great taste, so i do cook it a lil longer anyway..
not a fan of done/well-done, takes all the fun out of it
perfect world: give me a tenderloin seared a few times on each side, pink in middle, a lil blood when you slice..mmmmmmmm yum :food:

steak has to be bleeding...

My grandpa used to have me cook his steaks. He would tell when to flip, etc. About a minute or less on each side on the grill. And thats it. Just warm it up.

update: shoulders this day - training was..was..just....unfugginbelievable
(tribute to my comrade in iron DW there)

forgot to touch earlier on aspect of shift in weights, as i am out of pct and can now get back to day-in/day-out mauling
intensity back up, rest periods lowered, more tricks to throw into the fray..

pct was nice don't get me wrong (as far as pct's go), but i use that time for recovery mainly and not 'growth' per se
everything is reduced, for the most part
no more..

my shoulders - they looked twice as big as pic from yesterday when i was done
of course lots of good foods (and carbs), and comparing the "cold" pic from yesterday to '"pump after-training" shape from today is a lil bit illusory, but man -- WOW

I find I get a wicked pump when I use ignite.. even now that I am not doing those kind of workouts there is some nice swelling.

That little snack looks amazing. I have been eating some of my other carb sources lately but I think it is about time rice cakes make a return in my diet. May have to pick up like 5 different flavors. :D

i was a skinny-ass runt as a kid, till i got hurt at age 12 and had to rehabilitate with 1lb DB - led to fascination with weights
dint break 5' nor 100lbs until that summer of my 12th yr (so almost 13 i was)
at 16, i was 5-6 and 150lbs - but could weight train with the high-school football team and more than hold my own
even then - i would flex my bi's, and ppl would be amazed such a skinny kid had bigger arms then them :lol:
(had no legs tho - srs, they were skinny as twigs)

always been athletic, just didn't realize my physique potential until much older in life
which - conicidentally, is when i began the journey on learning nutrition and delving deeper into training
 
Just curious. I was always bigger and lanky with big wide shoulders. Wish I had discovered weights earlier in my life. Didn't start lifting until about 20.

20 is still early but there is a lot to be said for lifting during the years of puberty. You have a good base brother nothing to sneeze at. You should be proud of your accomplishments. As for me I was a squatty body, always carrying some fat unless I was dieting pretty hard. I had moobs from the time I was 11 which is what got me into lifting anyway.

Well a naturally skinny/think kid wouldn't worry about the body. LOL I wasn't stressing til a girl I asked out told me my chest looked like a girls. Bad thing is I couldn't really argue with her...

Yeah it was rough and I got all bent over it. My sisters boyfriend was the high school football stud. He gave me his old bench a week.later and told.me start lifting. That my chest will fill out and no one will make fun of you. 2 years later I was 175-180 and he was right. :D

Back in the day we didn't train that much in the off season, I played football hockey and baseball though. Professional football players had just started using weights and Hockey players were slobs back then. As I got older I fugged my football chances, stopped playing baseball and hockey. I was just a goon in hockey anyway. I got into drugs and partying till I was 32 when I got sober I started training again in my late 20's but not seriously till I got sober. I was pretty overweight most of the time. I have always been a fighter though.

Yah I spent most of my playing days in the penalty box, I was there to protect the good players, hockey was a lot rougher in the 60's and 70's ... age of the Flyers :) lol I had the head referee come into our dressing room and threaten to kick me out of the league.

Perfect DW lol. Yeah I played when i was really young and gave it up when I hit middle school then got back into it freshman year of high school but not play middle school put me behind the eight ball so I gave it up after sophomore year. I got back into it playing men's league hockey for a couple years then got busy so I play pick up hockey with about 20 people once a week and loved it. Now I don't have time for it again.

cheap, effective, no need to get fancy
dex+bcaa works splendid imo

technically tho - the issue you speak of could be rectified by other avenue ie, preWO shake w/ proper structure/daily overall dietary consumption etc
but if all this is on point, sure, give it a go

I agree for during a workout dextrose is the way to go it acts so fast and as he said is very cheap.

i think my carb-metabolism has changed over the course of the past year..perhaps fats too

fantastic back session this day, kept it to 3 exercises (bent bb rows, cable pulldowns to front, DB lawnmowers) 6 sets each
rep range from 20 to 6, short rest periods (1:15 for now - and dropping)..nice sweat
beat on the abs again a bit, DB sidebends and some weighted hanging knee-ups

another cold front blowing in - was upper 50s yesterday & today, gonna be down to 10 tonight and stay there again, teens for awhile
