Def barbell on those bent rows! lol, I can get 100s up on one arm rows if I'm sloppy but definitely not 140s! Bent rows I really try to concentrate on keeping solid form

I disagree. The path of the DB row is more natural for the shoulder girdle as it allows some slight pronation if needed and is easier on the lumbar. Plus, I get much more carryover on my bench and deadlift from DB rows than I do on BB rows. The only drawback with DB rows is that many gyms don't have DBs that are heavy enough.

My bad you are correct on the push downs.

I ended up getting up to 235 for 5 at one time if I'm not mistaken but took a month off bench. I have gained back the strength very quickly so I'm hoping it shoots up to 250 for 5 by the end. :-D

180 will be in the rear view soon bro! Test isn't even showing fully yet. Let's hope anyway!

Different angle as I find it more beneficial on a DB row to start the movement with the DB near the mid-line of the body instead of at the side. Pulling laterally across the body really helps to get a strong contraction and strengthen the upper-back. I've made it a goal of mine to get my PR on them to 200x12 (yes, that's for DB rows).

Thank you! Right now I'm doing

Shoulders/legs
Back/bis
Chest/tris
Rest day
Repeat.

I'm kind of winging it though like tomorrow I may just do legs and then follow with shoulders then a day off and pick up at back/bis.

If it keeps working I'll keep doing it. I hate being restricted to anything especially a schedule. But if I'm not happy with where I'm at by week 3 I will start a 5x5 routine.

I'm not sure what you're disagreeing with. I definitely wasn't saying that bb or db were better, just what I'm doing at the moment. I alternate between bb and db rows every few months to keep it progressing. I can definitely see your point about the movement of db rows being more natural and also allows for a variety of grip orientation.

I do them in a bit of a different fashion than most. Instead of focusing on multiple sets, I do several feel sets working up in weight and then do one all-out set to failure trying to break my rep PR. I decided to give the 200lb'r a whirl after I got bored with doing sets of 17-21 with the 145lb'r (why my gym has nothing in between is beyond me).
