LTL has fallen to the darkside!

Appreciate the help fellas. I plan on leaving the kiddy pool early next year.....I'll just live variously through AB and LTL until then and soak up all this knowledge.

I'm pi**ed thinking about how many pop tarts I screwed myself out of lol
Man I eat about a box of the low fat cinnamon and brown sugar during every refeed. Sometimes 2 it just depends on the size of the refeed. Sometimes I refeed for fun or aesthetic purposes that is when I hit about 500-800 grams in single a day. Other times I refeed to replenish leptin levels all the way. That is more like 1300-1600 grams of carbs over about 36 hours. Oh yeah I said it 1600 in a day and a half, I know this sounds fun and for the first part of the refeed it is but it soon becomes work! Doing that restores your leptin levels pretty much back up to what they were before starting to diet which allows the metabolism to speed back up. Leptin is stored in fat and as your fat is lost the body sees this and attempts to slow the loss of fat by lowering metabolism. Tricking your body with a longer refeed will allow you to replenish those levels and bring your metabolism up. So there is truth to the semi bro-science of a cheat meal increasing your metabolism however 1 meal is not really enough to do much. You can definitely see benefits from it in the 600 refeed range but to get it all the way back up you have to get hardcore. Cool thing is the super saturation ability of the muscle after being depleted keeps you from gaining fat, you just spill over with water during it. Gaining 10-12 lbs of glygocen and water over a refeed like that is pretty common for anyone over or even around 200lb. If you would like to read a little about it check out Lyle McDonald's Ultimate Diet 2.0 That diet works great but was just to much of a constant roller coaster for my personally preference.

Bro!!! Wtf pop tarts are where I get my strength!!! What's wrong with eating them before? You wanted to lean out? I eat 3 packs a day and I'm leaning out Lmao

Your my boy!
Once again LOVE ME SOME POP TARTS!!!!

I did mention 600+ carbs and Captn Crunch I believe...lol

Enjoy and make the best of the time in the kiddie pool far to many people don't learn how to swim before getting out and jumping into the deep end of the pool. They end up depending on everyone else as a life preserver. Kiddie pool is where you build your base and if you are doing it right you are making gains without jumping the gun. I totally get it these guys are making me wanna run high dose test. I just can't explode like that. Too many people I would have to explain that too.

Captn Crunch does not have high fructose, corn syrup.:..just plain old sugar(sucrose).....

Don't mess with fibrous carbs on a refeed. You want a good mix of simple sugars and starchy complex carbs but this is one time you really really want a massive insulin spike. Taking in 600 grams of carbs with even as much as 400g of it being sugar is still extremely safe considering you are not going to approach glycogen saturation with only 600 grams of carbs in a day after a week. If sodium intake is not ridiculous you wont even spill over at 600 grams. I am very carb sensitive but the entire premise of low carb with refeed is depleting the muscles of carbs while greatly increasing insulin sensitivity in the muscle. The body does not even begin converting carbs into fat until you reach a saturation level. Keep fats low especially saturated fats because saturated fats need no conversion to be stored as fat but unsaturated fats all have to be converted to be stored.

LMAO!!! You are right I have NEVER seen a cop that looked all gear'd up...

LTL - You are rocking this biatch! I can't believe I just had to read 11 pages to catch up since Friday. Ridiculousness I tell you!

That's some good info there kleen! I gave a problem with refeeds while cutting tho. Always seem to think I'm going to undo my hardwork by eating simple sugars etc!

I'm going to wait to cut until its time to use anabolics again. The next cycle is pretty much laid out and just absolutely NASTY. Ill grow on a caloric deficit for sure.

Kleen, I swear I learn more about diet and nutrition from you and dw on these forums than anywhere else. Thanks for the knowledge.

You just blew my mind bro lol wish I would have had this info while I was carb cycling I will def use it for future cuts though. Thanks man

Sit back and learn bros. I absolutely love that Kleen follows my log. Some people can learn more in one paragraph then these people like epstaneman teach in there life time. He doesn't need to make claims of helping people and boast his ego he simply sits back and lets the words speak for themselves. (Yes this is saying I would marry Kleen in a heart beat... :booty:)

Really appreciate you being here bro it means a lot.

Fructose isn't all bad you want some to fill your liver. Once you go back to low carbs you need the fructose based glycogen in the liver to prevent going hypo when shifting back to fat burning. It is also dumped during workouts to be used as blood sugar. You wouldn't want to base your entire Carb load from it but there is nothing actually wrong with it during the Carb load. Keep in mind your normal dietary guidelines are not in ay during a Carb load nor depletion phase these are both acute and controlled dietary manipulations that prime and feed off of one another and the results are the effects of the desired hormonal reaction to them. Not something you would do as any normal dietary measure. In a typical relatively high Carb diet high fructose corn syrup is not so good because the insulin spike and not being the preferential glycogen source of muscle tissue but in a Carb load not too bad either since so many carbs to be used and stored the extra insulin is beneficial.

Perhaps light icecream... you don't want too much saturated fat during a Carb load. Blue Bell no sugar added is amazing! Still plenty carbs and low fat. Sherbets are awesome too. Low-fat yogurts. A can of sweet potato casserole is like 150 grams of mixed carbs and yum! Heat that up drop some vanilla low fat ice cream and yum!

Kleen your gonna have to stick around I have a 16 week cut coming up at the end if jan. lol you may be my new best friend lol

Just a phobia man. You will gain water weight look softer for a day or to then dry out and look sick. Lean dry and full of glycogen.

Haha iyou calling me an old man? :what: lol
hell yeah so much info!!!

Yeah but I am long winded too. :D

Good stuff to learn Kleen.

Jeff is very dedicated in his work ethic and I'm sure once he puts his head to it he can nail down anything.

Day 9

Weight 174.2 (+12)

Dosed 50 dbol
Dosed 12.5 aromasin

Back/bis. Fatigue was no where to be found. Pump was incredible and muscles felt like they were blown up! I could tell a HUGE difference in my energy and endurance today. Weight was up even though my diet stayed a tad bit tighter the last few days. Definitely holding a bit of bloat but not enough for me to freak out about. A lot of these lifts were probably PR's for reps but I wasn't sure so I didn't care to comment. Things are getting intense and strength is climbing.

Nice numbers on those bent rows. I'm at 140 on those and as it gets heavier keeping form is a real bear.

Thanks guys! My back strength is definitely something I'm proud of. I'm very strict on form and know exactly what you mean.

You lucky ****! You may have the jump on me but Ima get you hahahahaha Killin it bro!!!

Yeah I just had my mind blown on info. Great discussion.

I know you can't tell from my current avatar, but I love nutrition at least learning it. I learn a lot so I can figure out how to be relaxed in my nutrition about 70% of the time with out doing any major damage. By relaxed I mean eyeballing my macros and calories, adjusting on the fly, if I have a big day of eating making it up on a burn day with a really low calorie day. Not relaxing as in doing stupid things over and over again until I am chubby. I need to always be able to see some abs but I am not obsessed with always keeping them shredded.

This is so true. Everyone asks how is your diet laid out? I wing it on a day to day basis. When I'm not "on" I have a solid and tight diet but if I feel necessary to kick the metabolism and have a cheat day I cheat. Then just adjust the rest of the days meals accordingly and follow up the next day with making the decision if it requires a clean up. I love this style because it keeps me sane. When I restricted everything I was a low carb ass at times!

Thanks guys! My back strength is definitely something I'm proud of. I'm very strict on form and know exactly what you mean.
Yeah man up 12 pounds and moving big weights. I cant even grip 140's, that serious. Almost weighs as much as you.

Then we're looking at 2 different avis because it looks like you know how to eat to grow. I'm still fond of my food scale but I can eye things up pretty good too. I've followed your logs and know how you do your burn/build cycles.

Day 10 morning update...

Well today has been a good day so far. Tested out this insane libido with the ole lady and holy sh1t! I will elaborate a bit further but does anyone feel in the first few weeks of test it makes the stamina and strength of the guy downstairs insane? I'm randomly getting libido spikes and when doing the duty it is better then it's ever been! Sorry had to keep it an honest log as all know.

Weight feels good on me and lats are exploding. Compliments are pouring in, everyone that knows me knows I'm very serious about diet and dedicated to working out but they are used to me being extremely dry and hard to see the work with the shirt on. Been telling them hey it's bulking season sit back and watch me explode. I've seen a very very noticeable increase in how vascular my chest and arms are. This comes as a bit of a surprise being I've been on a higher carb diet for over a week and usually by now the spill over would hide some of the veins. Hell no though, I hold a constant pump and R3act is getting super anxious to get on cycle. ;-)

If anyone has anything they want me to address or answer shoot I love feedback and answering questions bros! Get it!!
