Weight the day I started back in the gym after back injury: 224-225lbs

Current weight: 229lbs weight at doc's office today

So up 4lbs over the course of 2 weeks. 2lbs a week? I'll take that. Let the GAIN TRAIN continue with CHEST/TRIS later tonight. Feeling GREAT.

For lifting tonight? Not sure actually. I usually favor the DBs for benchpress but I'm going to assess where I'm at with the barbell. I'd like to throw up anywhere from 185-205 for multiple sets of 10. Or even more? I'm just going to have to feel it out. Lately the last couple of workouts my triceps have really progressed so it'll be interesting to see if I can snap up some more PRs tonight.

Hell yea bro! I'm interested in hearing what you think of it and how you think it does compared to your old standby Craze. Just follow the same advice I gave to Breezy and take it easy with the first few doses. I thought I could handle 2 scoops right off that bat and I was wrong lol I've only just now adjusted to 2 scoops... besides it'll make your container last longer :D

DAY 22: CHEST/TRIS

So I tried something a little different today. I dosed my usual 2 scoops of SpeedX3 about 10 minutes prior to the gym, and then about 1/4 of the way into my workout I added another half scoop to some water and sipped on it throughout the workout.

BARBELL BENCHPRESS: 45x20 95x15 135x12 185x10,10,9+1assist,6+2assist 135x8 so while not 225 like Evan was hoping I'd get I wasn't too terribly upset at these numbers whatsoever, and ended up setting a PR for reps. It was crazy because after that set of 135 when I stood up to get some water I was immediately hit in the face with beta alanine tingles hardcore. Felt super crazy but only lasted for a few seconds! Finally back to cracking some PRs with chest!

DB INCLINE PRESS: 25x15 45x10,10,10 not a PR, but up 5lbs from last time

BARBELL DECLINE BENCPRESS: 65x15 165x10,10,10,10 My workout partner really wanted to do these so I obliged... I thought we were overworking the chest and in the end my triceps paid for it but it still felt great.

HIGH-SET DOWNWARD CABLE FLYS: 50x10,10,10,10 a good squeeze finisher to solidify the pecs

DIPS: BW+25x8,7 BW+10x10,10 less than last week but I blame the volume during the benchpress workouts for pre-exhausting the triceps so this was expected

SKULLCRUSHERS: 35x15 45x10,10,10,15 adding that half scoop of SpeedX3 here gave me arm-bursting pumps that were just ridiculous

TRICEP ROPE SEPARATION: 50x10,9 40x10,10 so much PUMP!

NO-ATTACHMENT TRICEP PULLDOWN: 20x10,10

Toast. While the triceps weren't the showstopper today I was glad to see the numbers I hit with the benchpress and look forward to improving that as time goes on and I continue to bulk up in weight. Felt fantastic today!

Off for this weekend for my little vacation. Depending on what time I get home Sunday I may hit the gym up again. Only time will tell. And if my liver hasn't exploded from the weekend. :D

Stay tuned,

DJ

Oh it was absolutely... titillating. ;)

Hiit is the way to go i get bored with the liss stuff
Ever since I spoiled myself with HIIT LISS just sucks now in comparison.

I get bored with any of it unless I have some type of motivation in the area:boobies:
Or almost-see through yoga pants :sly:

damn...i miss a day and it takes 5 minutes to get caught up!!!
Sorry mang! Glad to see you still hanging with us :)

I hope you were hitting 225!!!
Thought about going higher than 185 today but it just felt like the appropriate weight to work with. No way I would have hit 10 reps with 225. Not yet. That is definitely a goal though.

Yep it was a sausage fest alright. A 6 hour drive from Indiana to TN. Out in the middle of nowhere too... cell phone reception was spotty at best. 12 guys split into two cabins which then became our teams. The cabins were located right on a golf course which is where we spent a lot of our time during the day. I think in total we played about 5 rounds of golf.

We ate:
48 eggs
4 packages of bacon
4 packages of breakfast sausage
24 hamburgers
10 brats
12 frozen pizzas
12 ordered take-out pizzas
multiple bags of candy
2lbs of meatballs

We drank:
15 cases of beer
1 bottle of Jager
1 bottle of tequila
1 bottle of Maker's Mark
1 handle of Maker's Mark
1 bottle of Svedka
1 bottle of Wolfberry
1 handle of Captain

And thats just from what I can remember. There was craziness. At each tee-box there were drinking challenges. One guy was dressed up like a ref and had yellow foul flags and red challenge flags that we could throw. In the middle of the night we pissed off our neighbors by lighting off artillery shell fireworks lol. Multiple cigars were smoked. Dip was used by some. Poker was played. Beerpong was played. Any time anything could become a challenge between houses was reffed and points were awarded to the winning team. In the end, my team won. :D

It was literally madness.

Haha yea I have a lot of log reading and catching up to do. Once I get back from the gym/running errands I'll have plenty of free time to check all of them. I had like 60 new emails when I finally had cell service and they were all from AM lol

DAY 26: LEGS

So before I get into this log just thought I'd tell a funny story... because it ended up making me take a total of 3 scoops of SpeedX3! I was at home, had my gym bag packed and ready to go, threw 2 scoops into my shaker cup and tossed it back. Then I sat on the couch for a few minutes and watched Sportscenter until I felt the beta alanine tingles kick in. The problem was that I had my car keys in my pocket, a pocket in basketball pants that are made of the slickest fibers anywhere. I stood up, grabbed my ****, turned on the alarm, locked the bottom lock of the front door and closed it behind me. Went to grab for my car keys and I couldn't find them anywhere... those ****ers slid right on my pants while I was sitting down! So I sat there on the hood of my car looking like an idiot trying to figure out what to do. I thought maybe I had left the garage door unlocked, so I entered the code but that was a no go either. Garage door locked. I thought about kicking the door in for a second until it dawned on me I had my wallet. Took out a credit card and attempted the good old lockpick technique and to my surprise it worked lol. Grabbed my keys, and since I had wasted about 20 minutes (total time of about 40 minute now since I took the first 2 scoops) I added a another to my shaker cup and took it with me to be taken halfway through my routine. BONEHEAD!

BARBELL BACK SQUAT: 45x15 135x10 185x8 205x7 225x3 245x1 135x10 I would have attempted a PR at 255x1 but I didn't have a squat and I didn't see any "quality" spotters in my gym at the time

SEATED CALF RAISE: 4XMM 90x20,20,20,20

BARBELL FRONT SQUAT: 45x10 95x10 105x8 135x6 150x6 95x10 leg press machine was broken so I did these instead and was glad I did :)

HAMSTRING CURLS: 75x15 4XMM 125x10,10,10,10

LEG EXTENSION: 55x15 4XMM 90x10,10,10,16

Ended the day with a 15 minute walk on the treadmill 3.2mph, 7.5% incline. Burned close to 200 cals. Sweat like made. Felt awesome.

Stay tuned,

DJ
