Blood pressure??

Have slightly elevated BP never cycled AAS Ph. I have some Hawthorne berry and know guys preload with this and other things but is there a general health dose anyone can recommend or any other natural herbs/supps I can take to help? When my wife takes it at home it's normal or closer to normal but I just had my father in law take it at his doc office for my DOT exam and it was 150/88. I used to be fat and chewed cope all day and it wasn't really high now that I'm in shape it's usually fine 125-135/80-90 until this time. I just started AT2/erase after 8 weeks off. Could AT2 cause this elevation?

I think I remember seeing CoQ10 lowers blood pressure. I been taking 200mg daily for the last 2 months haven't checked BP yet though

When did you take the AT2 in relation to the two times that you had your BP measured? Also, just to be clear, you only had a high reading the one time? If so, I would follow up in a few days to see where it is. There are many reasons why it could have been high just that time.
 
broons - how high of a dose? im currently on about 4-4.5g per day and havent noticed a whole lot

op - i liked hawthorn extract and ubiquinol (more 'pure' version of coq10, so to speak). i did 200mg per day ubiq for the first few weeks, then went down to 100mgxday (its kind of pricy). however, ive never tried just regular coq10, may be just as good, though.

those that didnt work much for me - celery seed extract, olive leaf extract, taurine, acv
those that MAY have helped - cayenne pepper, red beet power

Helps. For further help in keeping cardiovascular health a Saturated Fat Rich diet, Hawthorn Berry and High EPA/DHA content Fish oils can help along with CoQ10.

You would probably want to stray from a saturated-fat-rich diet in this case lol :D.

Agreed with the supplement recommendations though. EPA/DHA, CoQ10, Niacin, and Agmatine.

I was just gonna PM you actually...Niacin does help then? I was gonna write it but wasn't sure, and yes Agmatine works. Oh and I said Sat-Fat diet because of the Front Pages article lol

Good to know...My grandma was taking it because of it, then my idiotic hyper-tense cousin came along and said it doesn't work and she stopped.
 
I found taurine to be useful at around 8 to 10 grams a day. From what i recall, Generally it's considered safe at 10 grams a day. I split mine up evenly throughout the day. Also, the price of bulk taurine powder is very affordable.

Second Taurine. 4-6g daily helped me out immensely. Taking a break from it right now. Ecklonia Cava is reputedly able to lower blood pressure along with other health benefits. A little pricey though.
 
make sure you rest 15 minutes before you take it... literally sit or lie down for a 15 minutes then take it. Thats more accurate.
 
I know 200mg ubiquinol with a nitrate source (used powershock and/or bulk creatine nitrate) worked quickly to lower my bp while i made diet adjustments to keep it down.

This is exactly what I was saying. At least try it a second time before you buy a bunch of supps that you might not need.
 
Thanks all I will have her take it again this week after chilling out for a bit. I'm under a lot of stress lately as well so I'm sure that isn't helping either. Thanks again I'll report back

Stress does a number on bp, so I wouldn't be surprised if your numbers were skewed because of it.
 
There is a very easy and effective way to lower your BP almost instantly. I've tried Celery Seed extract, Hawthorn Berry, CO Q10, Astaxanthin and all the other so called BP reducing products. Just get some UR spray. Use as direcrted and your BP will drop within an hour or so. I really don't know why it just works. It's also a great leaning agent with a lot of health benefits.

It's sold by prototype nutrition. Get the spray it works better than the tabs.

Niacin rocks. I take that w/ Beta-Alanine in the AM; its tingles more than a little.
 
Dr. Houser advocates the use of niacin. Also, he says it has an affect on GH.

There is a book called the "8 Week Cholesterol Cure", that discusses Niacin supplementation at length. The book claims (and I believe) Niacin does everything a statin does, but w/ very few sides. Big pharma push statins (IMO) because they can't patent Niacin; therefore they can't make money off of it.

At doses high enough to control cholesterol nician can be hard on your liver. Check it out. Use Red Yeast Rice if your really worried about cholesterol. Mine is over 300, and has been for 30 years but my arteries are clean as a whistle. Read "The Cholesterol Myth". It's free.
 
Thank you. That was a very interesting read. I also went to the website and they have terrific information on interaction of Vitamin D and Vitamin K2 (MK-4 and MK-7). I am starting Vitamin K2 supplements later this month.

lmao.. the sides i get from niacin.. HORRIBLE LEG ITCHING to the point i have to burn, and i mean burn my skin in the shower to relieve the itch that had me at the point of killing myself, not kidding.. ill take my crestor anyday

Yes, the Niacin rush can be tough. I had one yesterday that was overwhelming (due, in part, to my taking it w/ Beta-Alanine).
 
Currently doing alright on 4-5g taurine per day and .5-1g agmatine (last day on agmatine).

Up next ill try grape seed extract and turmeric (I like to switch things up after a few months). I've also got some astaxanthin and ameal peptide sitting in my cabinet that ill probably try after the GSE/turmeric)

My personal fav's are hawthorn extract and coq10 while
my staples are 1-2 cloves chopped garlic, .5-1teaspoon cayenne pepper in warm water per day, orange oxi-mega greens (has nitrates that may improve BP), vitamin c, and fish oil (the latter 2 have never hhad much of an impact on my numbers, but I like their overall health benefits).

- also, similar to GSE, resveratol may have a positive impact, and may be good in conjunction with GSE

You should really talk to a specialist if you're worried. I'm not a doctor and this isn't a recommendation, but a recent study by cochrane that involved around 22,000 people since 1999 showed that those without prior heart problems or conditions did not benefit from taking rx meds for mild hypertension (surprisingly to many of us, 'mild' by their standards is actually 140-159/90-99). Basically, their studies found that if HBP is all you have, without any pre-existing condition, and you're active/in otherwise good health, your chances of having a heart attack or dying is not much greater in that range compared to those who take medicine, but would otherwise be in that range. Do some research on NNT for HBP meds. They have to prescribe something like 110 people medications to prevent ONE episode.

Obviously you want to reduce your chances, but my dr wanted
me on prescription at 140/85 before giving me a chance to a) start doing cardio, b) change diet (I was 'bulking'/eat everything in sight that was packed with calories and saturated fat while doing NO cardio), c) addressing my excessive stress from my first semester of law school, etc etc...... I didn't take the prescription and haven't been back, instead check it myself and take supps.

Dont discount what stress can do to you.my lawschool friend was like high stage 1 to low stage 2 hypertensive at the doctor during our exams first semester.... Over spring he went back and it was fine.

On another note, I hate underdosed supps that have just a little bit of several different things, but for $13, I might have to try that bio-mend! (lots of supps that are made specifically to control BP are underdosed IMO, and iif you can afford it, buying the individual supplements in higher doses is the way to go)
 
far simpler answer, are your arms over 14"? If they are, and they used a normal size cuff that time (vs your regular doctor using an appropriate size cuff) that alone can easily throw off the measurement by that much.

I just started the niacin thing. 1000mcg - woah. I kinda like it, just gotta get over the initial irritation.
