How many grams or mgs of agmatine should i take a day and when are the best times to take the doses?

I usually take it pre-workout. 1.5g. I get mine for 12 bucks a pop so i figured what the hell.
I do know there is a arginine nitrate and agmatine product pre-workout in the works. Not NTBM someone else.

I wasn't saying that they were in there to potentiate agmatine or arginine nitrate....i just think they would provide pumps through different pathways unless that's completely off base

Ah, I missed the nitrate part. In that case, yes they would provide pumps in different ways, and I'd be interested in trying that product. Any ETA?
On a side note, I took 3g of agmatine split into two doses, am and preworkout. Pumps were sick and vasculaity was much more pronounced
Just got some sns caps, trying agmatine for the first time. Gonna try 500 mg morning, 500 mg pre......I willl try 1 g pre after that.I like using it at 1g about 45 minutes pre workout.

PS - Mr Cooper knows his shxt on Agmatine... he gave me a fair warning about taking too high of a dose while fasting... the other day i took 1g before leaving the house because I was planning on getting some ****ty food while out running around. Made one stop before hand and ended up at the store for an hour... shortly after about an hour I actually felt extremely close to passing out. Like I was afraid to walk for about 5 minutes holding on to a rail. Then I got to the checkout and some stupid people were talking to the cashier and taking forever... my rage flew through the roof cause I thought I was going to bite the dust and hit the floor... I immediately left and got the first food I saw... Mcdonalds and I was then much better...
Stuff ends up being no joke! Im only taking it on high carb days that for sure!

Let me know how that goes for you. Personally, my favorite protocol is quickly becoming 500mg with my preworkout meal (high in carbs; ~3 hours preworkout) and 500mg 30 minutes preworkout.

It can certainly help postworkout as well due to its effects on insulin production. Agmatine is a multi-dimensional ingredient so you have to pick your poison with regards to dosing.
Yea I think I'm going to do 500mg in the morning and 500 post workout. I don't really care about the pump effects, I'm looking more for the other benefits.

If you were to take say 500mg with your post workout meal after lifting, would that be bad? because it apparently acts as a GDA but most recommend not to take GDA's with postworkout meal as your natural insulin sensitivity is already at its for lack of a better word 'best'. could taking it here be harmful and promote fat storage? or would it have any effect on insulin sensitivty post workout at all? probaly hard to say.
as this stuff gets more popular, and its blowing up right now, people will be experimenting a lot with doses.
I train fasted at 10 and was thinking of doing 500mg with post workout meal and 500mg with final meal of day to see what happens. each have a lotta carbs.
You won't "feel" the effects but it will act as a GDA. Eat a high carb breakfast...oatmeal with added protein powder or whole grain pancakes with protein powder added to the mix, for example.
I had an incident about 5 minutes ago with agmatine and my search prompted me here (agmatine, hypoglycemia). I took 1.5 grams before a very large breakfast and I was sweating, my focus was tuning in and out... All I could think of was, "GET CARBS". I made a chocolate, banana shake with leucine and coconut oil and was stuffing gluten-free corn puffs in my mouth while it was blending.Very true!

I believe so. I've been taking the basics along with creatine, beta alanine, and agmatine powder and I am recomping very quickly without counting cals or keeping strict track of macros. I eat all quality foods though.Is Agmatine really that strong a GDA? If so, soley for these effects surely it is the best and cheapest one around?
