Big Boys throw down to lean out (Sponsored by Need to Build Muscle's N2 Burn.

I'm still around and like Chevy said, have been dealing with some issues at home. Things are leveling back out and everyone is starting to settle back into their normal routines.

You guys have been doing some great work! It's amazing how much reading you have to do to catch up with everything.

Few lifting updates for me:

My last back workout I was using: 325 X 10 on Deads

Shrugs: 305 X 10

A few other big numbers were hit, but I cannot remember them all. I was not journaling at the time.

Today I went in for some cardio and hit the treadmill for 45 minutes @ 5 degrees and 3mph. I also did 100 pound ab situps x 50 x 4 and 100 pound crunches x 30 x 1.

I even caught a cramp in my abs and that has never happened. I'll hopefully be back on target with dosing and training from hear on out, but only time will tell.

I apologize for my absence, but hey it is supposed to make the heart grow fonder. LOLOLOLOL

I know I will be going against everything I have been doing lately. Meaning a modified 5x5 training. But the time has come for change again. I try to change things up every 6-8 weeks. I have a routine that I will use and over the next few workouts I would like to see everyone's input.

Good Idea bro, always good to change it up. Not only helps you grow, but keeps things interesting in the gym...being bored sucks!

Ok so the truth has come out. And you have been holding out on us. Pulling these big numbers uh huh what is the secret. Oh wait I know personal issues that bring out some frustration and you take it out in the gym. LOL

On a side note. (Man I have said this twice now) Knowing you have had your hands full with your home life. We are all here for you, the training will always come and go. But for now your family comes first. Get that back in order then continue. If you need to chat you know how to reach me.

Yeah doing the 5x5 from the first phase all the way into the second phase was nice and a challenge. But to be perfectly honest I was getting a tad bored. Started to feel like I was just going through the motions and not getting the most out of the training. I designed a program again similar to the one I did back when I got into the gym after doing nothing but the P90X for the first 90 days of returning.

The new workout was originally thought to be a warm up set and a 12 rep then 10 rep then 8 rep workout per exercise. I am still pondering if I should still continue the high reps. We shall see once I get in the gym. Curious minds want to know.

I hear ya bro, I am ready for a change! Kleen's protocol was awesome for sure, but next week when I pick up the weights again I will change it up. I think Ill stick with the 5x5 with 2 drops SSUF only on "core" lifts and mix in some hyperfitness style exercises. I think this will really make the epi-v shine in terms of cutting.

Man this thread exploded when I went to class lol.

Don't be like me and change the program too much though lol.

Won't be able to judge that progress. And might even go backwards.
Interested to see what you lay out though. ;)

It is good to change it up every 6-8 weeks just like your nutrition. That way you dont get bored like green had mentioned.

Oh yeah. Have my diet re-done. And a new workout. Should be a nice combo.

Big changes in the workout program can be beneficial, periodization to me means a different psychology behind each workout a different style of lifting. This shocks your body and it's like starting at square one where most of the growth happens...

True. However, there are many ways to accomplish this while following a progarm. With the 5/3/1 for example, you are hitting different reps and weight ranges every week and can always pick alternate accessory/support lifts. GST is great for variety also and is in fact the heart of that program.

On another note, 270 even this am, down 5lbs :)

531 is a great program, mainly because it has deloads and constantly pushes you to get new PRs. I just would KILL Myself on the accessory... Like main lift plus 4 supersets of everything, and off days would be Oly lifts... But We've chatted on this b4 lol. Beat that horse!

Anyhow, I may just switch up to WSBBFSB after this.... lol. Unless I can get my shoulder fixed up, then Im doing smolov squat program...

Yah there are programs that take this into account. I even use some of them from time to time but I like to switch programs as well... I like full body workouts but don't do them all the time. Switching reps and exercises is not enough sometimes... there are other variables... I will likely go to a 2 days split after finishing the warrior workout.

No I think I am picking up a couple lbs because of my pct. It is all good though.

Looks good bro!

Thanks. I had to switch it up. Was beginning to feel like when I would hit the gym it was more of hurry and get through the workout. While it was kicking my butt it seemed like I was doing it over and over. Now there will be something different each day.

I didn't know there was phases, I am doing 1 working set then a second with a double drop ..full body...different exercise ... 3 days a week.

There is a phase 1 and a phase 2 I know. Phase 2 throws in a 5x5 in each workout with some other smaller differences in exercises

That might be pretty close to what I am doing but would never go 5X5 full body... I do a 2 day split...

11/10/11 Day 3, wk 4 (MC 6) Deload
4:40-5:15

Bench 5's @ 115, 145, 175

Flat bench DB Press 4x12@40's

Incline BB Press 3x10@100

Assisted dip 3x10 @120lbs

2H OH DB Tri Extension 3x12@35

Wide Grip BB Front raise (This was more to see how the shoulder felt than anything)
20x12, 30x12

The left shoulder still felt a bit touch on the Fat BB Bench and Dips. Still better than before I have been trying to rehab it. 2 more G of Cissus and ice when I got home.

Finished up with 32 minutes of random hills profile on recumbant stationary bike-151 cals.

Dietary for today: 2038 cals (108 carbs, 205 protein [plus 18g bcaa], 84 fats) with an estimated burn of 3686 for a deficit of 1648. Have been keeping the cals fairly low this week even on iron days due to the deload. Plan on bumping it to around 2400-2500 cals when I start going heavier again next week.

As an aside, anyone have an opinion on what to run along with the epi? Options are Epi+ RS trans, Epi+RS+1 Andro, or Epi and 1 Andro. PP Andro lean is also an option. I have some Torem on hand, so maybe bridging that into an 8 week run of epi and then 1 andro or epi and androlean as the hardest part of PCT is already handled. Would add possibly some endosurge and CEE as the OTC parts of the PCT.

Nice work man. you destroying it in the gym!!

Hmm as far as Epi... I have personally never run it but I'm sure Rick will chime in, or you can ask in the NTBM section. He loves Epi lol.

Honestly I would run something like 11oxo or furuza stacked with it if you wanna lean out. They are both not methylated a bit more on the mild side and work towards lowering cortisol. I donno how the joints will feel though with extremely lowered cortisol AND lowered estrogen (via Epi's AI effects).

Good luck!! Wish I could be more help!

Are you running epi strong or epi-v?

Taman, I like the idea of running the EPI with the 1 andro and Transaderm ran along with it. That would be a pretty good stack IMO. If you are wanting to run 8 weeks like you mentioned that is fine as long as you limit the EPI portion to 6 weeks. You don't want to go more than that with methyls.

Thanks for the input Rick. If I was going to do 8 weeks, I would do it as a bridge, 4weeks epi, 4 weeks 1 andro.

That would be a great way to do it. I would run the EPI first and bridge to the andro

Hit the am cardio today. 5 stage variable resistance (up and down) 5 minute/stage for a total of 25 minutes-145 cals, all day burn. Max HR 125. Light (deload) squat work out after work.

I went ahead and ordered a bottle of the Finaflex 1 andro. Figured I would run this at 2 tabs a day with the epi at 20-30mg depending on how I tolerate it and the remaining RS trans at 5 pumps AM. For support sups, will be taking milkthistle (already in stock), Taurine (as I am susceptible to back pumps and I know epi can do that) and Iam already prescribed Lisiniopril and HCTZ.

I thought it would be better the other way around as EPI would dry you out...

I like to run whatever is going to bring the biggest gains first so the gains have more time to solidify, which IMO would be the epi first. But the other way would work well too and does also make sense

Hey Scotty, let me pose a inquiry too you. Have a bottle of Finaflex 1 andro on the way, I noted that it has a "amplifier" that is grape fruit based. I eat about 2-3 whole grapefruit a day. Any chance that would be an issue (I assume it is the enzyme that limits liver metabolism of some compounds/medications)

It definitely would not hurt your results, now whether it would further amplify your results I have no idea, I mean we are talking about mg's of grapefruit extract, I'm sure the amount in there is way more potent than just eating a few grape-fruits, but I could be wrong! I am making this assumption based on the fact that your average orange has about 300-500mg of vit. C and yet you can get a single cap with 1g (1,000mg) and it is 1/100 the size if not smaller! Hope my insight helps!

Yep, just wanted to make sure that it would not be a danger.

Pretty quiet down day today. The wife went off to the big city and I was alone with the 9 year old, so no bike ride. Instead, spent some time in the yard raking by hand and sucking leaves up with the lawn tractor. Did walk the little man down to the park, let him play for about 45 minutes. Round trip walk was about 20 minutes.

Anyways, I am nearing the end of the N2Burn, will post a final review when it is done. Also, going to start taking milk thistle in prep for the Epi/1 andro/RS Trans run Monday. Will begin that run a week later.

Dietary for today: 2239 cals (77 carbs, 182 protein [plus 12g bcaa], 130 fat cals) with an estimated burn of 3575 for a deficit of 1336. Not quite as low on the calorie total as I had hoped, but an extra 200 is not gonna break me.
