All the way, it's a push press, so you have to. But even when I do strict BTN, I lower to my traps. If the descent bothers you, try the trick of spreading the bar apart, it will keep you much tighter and set up for the next rep.You lower the bar all the way to your traps? Well you're able to get under the bar a lot easier, and as along as your elbows are at the right angle, they feel great. I use a wide grip to avoid shoulder popping I'd get with a shoulder-width grip.Cool will do. I have an on again off again external shoulder impingement. Oddly enough behind the head OHP feels better to me than anything.
