cutting, and a vegetarian, so im gonna add aminos to my water (flavored of course) and drink it all day to help

i find xtend waaaaaaaaaaaay too sweet for my liking

i have MAP here that i think ill use, a scoop for every L i drink

i also have power shock here too, but for me its more of a strictly intra product because of all the other stuff in it

MAP wise if i go that route, ill be going through alot of gum too

anyone do this with any other brand besides bulk ?

You could always mix bulk with vita-berry.Invalid Link Removed
Lg Science has a kiwi/strawberry that I hear is pretty good.

Personally I like xtend, but I water it down severely, usually mix 4 scoops in a gallon of water. Lemon lime treats me well. Map is solid but not sure I'd sip it, I save it for pre and post workout bolus dosing. Otherwise I like bulks mainly because they are pure bcaa's, nothing else. I don't need to be sipping on creatine or beta alanine while I'm working all night.

I'd say LG's BCAA/EAA ( cost effective) any flavor or Purple Wraath by Controled labs -2 scoops in half a gallon sipped all day long is great! It has some betain in it too :)

EDIT: the BA in Pwraath won't give you tingles when you water it down soo much and plus you be sipping on it, not chugging so I wouldn't worry.

I use Axcell for BCAA's and a friend of mine swollwilliams here on AM does his sipping throughout the day like ur asking. In fact I believe bluehealer has also practiced this with axcell. here's a review Invalid Link Removed
I've tried arctic berry, super tasty

I water down the xtend and toss in some bulk BCAAs.

I sip on them all day.

Yes, I did that indeed, for a long time. Thae artic berry is AWESOME when mixed into nonflavored greek yogurt. In fact, I may just try this with bulk BCAA and Vita-berry. It's more cost effective.

with greek yogurt? for real? thats sounds goood!!

I've found it at some good prices, just shop around if your interested Mr.sking you should do fine

I am pretty picky, so i think they all taste meh, but I usually use Modern BCAA or AXCELL

same here, ibcaa in vitaberry is brutal

the only amino product i ever liked was power shock or intrabolic

i might just drink the map straight up in between meals......i dont see how people sip on bcaas all day

I dont know how either lol....I also dont know how people sip it during their workout. I must be hella picky. I need some nice refreshing water or gatorade during my workout!

For me LG's BCAA and Cl's PW really aren't bad at all. Others like Xtend,Axcell, etc.. all have too harsh of a flavor for me.

^ this (the modernBCAA part of it anyhow) . Probably the most effective BCAA ratio (or so the studies show) , but a little pricey for 35 servings. I don't do two full scoops in my intra though I do 1.5

What I like most about Modern BCAA is the Sustamine ingredient added...good research behind it.

AXcell artic berry and body science apple/pear are the best tasting BCAA's I've tried...

AXcell is sweet to sipp on during the day, , but I honestly prefer it pre/intra workout.. That extra charge of L-Taurine and Citrulline Malate sure comes in handy during the workout!!

Agreed. I did recently receive a free sci-fit BCAA5000 tub (500 grams). I am curious to see how it does against the Modern BCAA. Sure looks to be a lot more servings.

Nice, free is always a good thing, I have been using ibcaa's from primordial performance as I stocked up during their last sale. Taste fairly bad though, how does the modern bcaa and bcaa5000 taste?

MAP? sorry don't recognize the initials.. and I KNOW my AM brethren aren't talkin Muscle Asylum Project ;)

Only a couple of reps have tried the new flavors, so taste is still out. As far as price though...

The 42 serving/$19.99 tub is due to arrive in the next couple weeks.

I use a fair amount of BCAAs and my stash includes AXcell, Xtend, and RecoverPRO. I like to mix and match flavors.

It has been a while but it is almost back. RecoverPRO in 2 great flavors and sizes. The best part will be the price.

RecoverPRO should be ready to purchase in about 2 weeks. There will be 2 delicious flavors lemon and raspberry. There will be 2 sizes one will be 42 servings and the other 125 servings.. Now the best part. Here are the prices you can expect to pay when it becomes available. These are insane prices for what will be a great tasting 4:1:1 BCAA supplement.

42 servings $19.99

125 servings $39.99

There's some good information out there pioneered by Layne Norton that discusses the refractory effect of too much protein continuously. I get free BCAA products from a couple different companies, and even I don't sip on them throughout the day. I'm NOT in any way claiming to have irrefutable proof that the refractory phenomenon is real, I only follow the research, I don't conduct it. I guess I'm just weary of consuming too much and blunting the protein synthesis and nitrogen retention potential.

The literature so far suggests that eating every 4-6 hours with a hefty dose of essential amino acids between meals, is the best methodology.

I know when I'm preparing for a contest though, I do feel like the BCAAs or EAAs are put to much better use.

If you can afford it go with the Invalid Link Removed, I find it superior to BCAA's comparing the two using the protocol you mention.

I have read up on this as well, I don't know how I feel about though. From personal experience I find the OP's protocol to be very effective.

I shoot my BCAAs between meals (5 grams) and 10 grams post workout.

Only time i sip on them is during workouts and I use 14 grams of purple wrath. Can be found cheap plus it had extra goodies

you can get capped sustamine too. Considering BCAA's can be found cheap and there's probably only a grams worth in Modern BCAA, this might be a more cost effective route.

Damn it! I want to experiment with this but i DO NOT like risking any of my mass. If what I was doing didn't / wasn't working I'd definitely give this a try. Who knows maybe sometime pre-cycle next year I'll give this a go. thanks for the info!

I use something similar to this with good success. Purple Wraath FTMFW!

Outstanding has to be the best screen name ever.

:lew: ?

JK :)

mash, try it. I did it for a cut and bulk and had no appitite issues, retained all lean mass, strength increased and it worked amazingly. You will not lose lose mass if your hitting your numbers regardless of timing

Did you go back to eating every 2 hours after your cut?

no, i will never eat every two hrs again. I eat every 3-5 hrs these days depending on my schedule and what not, sometimes 2 but not often what so ever. also i no longer dose aminos between as i dont have the control over my schedule like i did the time i did this

iv been doing this, i hate the sipping, the taste isnt something i want all day log

meals every 3hrs about, and map(20g), in between, so im getting stuff in every 1.5 hrs give or take

should really boost my metabolism, small caloric/protein doses but frequently

helps dealing with the hunger as well on a cut

The modern BCAA tastes great IMO. I have had both the white blue raspberry and the grape bubble gum and had no complaints on either. I have not tried the BCAA5000 yet and assume it is unflavored so likely not very good tasting. I have also tried purple wraath which i thought had a unique but pleasant taste. At the end of the day I dont care how it tastes and more so if it works. I would say I am much less fatigued and sore when I use a BCAA intra myself.

Unflavored modern bcaa is more accurately less flavored bcaa. It doesn't have that severe crushed aspirin taste most plain bcaa's have but it has some. Not complaining because it's a good product though and the IC deal was insanely good.

Yea i don't think I'll go back to 2 hour meals either. I feel less bloated and I look forward to eating again lol. I've been carrying around used camera film containers filled with 5 grams bcaa's. I keep em in my lunch box which goes with me everywhere lol

(after I workout I drink a shake and eat about 1.5 hours later)

watch out they might shake down the cop wondering what that white powder is in the jar!

spiking metabolism isnt real, read up on intermediate fasting
it will actually make u hungrier as your body is gonna get use to having glucose released every 1.5 hrs and thus when u go over that ull get tired and hungry.
Try to eat a meal every 4-5 hrs with 10g map inbetween with a lil leucine added or by itself.

Do you have to use map? Wouldn't 5 grams (2:11) BCAA be enough?

i bet pw and pysko would be a great combo.

haven't tried any of the others mentioned except powershock and extend. modern bcaa's and excel look interesting though-i do fasted workouts and often go 4-5 hours without a meal, bcaa's play an important role for me.

I cant drag a jug of water with me every where I go, so sipping on bcaa's throughout the day wouldnt work for me. I would consider drinking a MAP shake with ibcaa's in it, right before a meal.

I technically go for 2.5 to 3 hours between meals- It works out with my job/ school schedule but definitely will give it a go when I finish school next year.

yes actually, this is exactly what layne norton does and suggests, he just suggests if bulking to add about 20g of carbs to your 5g of bcaa since they show greater increase in protein synthesis and makes the time of the spike longer, he uses a small bag of baked lays. i emailed him about this by the way, he says just use bcaa as they work and are cheaper.

mash i hear yea on the timing thing, i currently to 3-4 bc of school and work so i cant do it either.

Maybe, if you can get us out of debt...

I have a very detailed three step plan for this I'll unveil here on Anabolic Minds as a pillar of my platform. I hope you will all give me some weighty consideration in this very pressing matter of candidacy.

1. Close Wallet
2. Put into back pocket
3. Forget about back pocket

;)

:usa: has my vote lol

USA! USA! USA!

I believe I deserve to win this nonsensical impromptu meaningless position, because as President, I would put an end to proprietary blends. Haha!

Outstanding has to be the best screen name ever.

Thanks man! It's actually a cool story, which I've never told, where I got it. But I think it has a certain ring to it too :)

Hey... what's this thread about? Oh, by the way, I'm almost certain that the recommendation is for EAAs between feedings, not plain BCAAs. Not sure why, but the yield of ingesting the entire amino acid sequence seems to have a higher anabolic effect. Why not just take a scoop of whey isolate or hydrolysate then? Oh well - such is life and science, we'll be debating and question for the next hundred years, all while Arnold and company were able to attain massive physiques five decades ago using only dianabol and primobolan enanthate! Haha! ;)

Used camera film containers... this actually sounds great, perfect sizing - but, film went extinct a long time ago, and I use my cell phone for 99% of my photography anyway. Hmmm, although, I have a massive collection of empty used bottles from supplements. I wish I would have kept ALL of them from the years past, that would have been something to look back on and nostalgic. All the design changes and old formulas.

Baby food jars might work well. Very hard to break.
I make the relation because I use both to store small amounts of reduced paint lol.

Yes, I am sponsored by them, but Advanced Muscle Science's Body Mortar CF(carb free) is awesome. Higher than normal amount of bcaa's in it, and it tastes really good! I always used scivation's xtend exclusively in just about any flavor, but after trying AMS's BM CF, I switched immediately. It is a little sweet, but to me, especially when dieting, it was awesome.

I am a big fan of xtend actually, although I will say that I have read many people who think as you do regarding how sweet it is.

I still have yet to try vitaberry even though it has been recommended to me several times.

The grape bubblegum modern bcaa was fantastic as well.
