How many of you are still in college?

Done with my coursework and working full-time, but still technically a student because I'm finishing my thesis.

I am in my first semester for Computer Programming. Starting a little late in the game, but eh, so be it!

what are you studying?

BA in Broadcasting, MA will be in Communication.

I work in higher education, and since they pick up the tab, I plan on going back to pick up a 2nd bachelors in dietetics (to become an RD) sometime soon, too.

I am major is exercise science with a minor in athletic training. Plan on going back after I get these for my masters in education

My old major was respiratory therapy but I switched it

Kent State University
Associates of Applied Business in Computer Technology
Bachelors of Science in Technology (last semester)

In 2 years or so......

Penn State University
Masters of Professional Studies in Homeland Security
(Information Security and Forensics)

I am very much tired of school but understand the importance of it.

M.Ed. finished last semester. Looking into either a second Master's (Sport Nutrition) or my Ph.D.

Just finished my last class for health care administration. Though I'm half way to retirement in the military already. It's hard to take classes steady so I just keep knocking them out when I get the chance.

A lot of the students I work with fall into this category. It's all about doing it whenever you can. I respect that.

Yeah, in the end I've loved being in the military and wouldn't change it, but as for the school... it's my own damn fault for being a punk a$$ kid and putting partying as my priority. Guess I choose the play now pay later method of life. Though my wife is probably the biggest factor for me continuing with school and doing as well as I do. I maintain a 3.8 GPA, but it's not easy. To say that I hate school is an understatement, but I originally didn't finish high school, so everything I do in class is like playing catch up. I'm always far behind the younger students and my wife pushes me through my studies, helps tudor me, and I use school tudor's for some classes. Math is my worst. Though, I do really well in medicine especially trauma and combat medicine.

About to start my dissertation research for wireless security/engineering ... hopefully earn my doctoral within the next 18-24 months. I would love to have a research written and published in due time.

i keep going back for different stuff, right now UPS gives me a lot of money up front for my local community college. I've just been taking classes for fun, learning stuff that I always was interested in. I'm about to start a CDL course to pick up a second job.

wow I'm very undereducated compared to you guys, I have a long way to go :(

Education takes you so far, there are countless people that are creative in their own right, have never earned a degree and gain success (depending on how you view success).

As well, there are a myriad of idiots with PHDs, Bachelor's and master degrees walking around. I do feel that the degree gives you an advantage; however, it is the person that makes the difference.

Couldn't have been better said.

A degree doesn't = intelligence.

In many instances, it leads to learning (that you don't know as much as you thought you did), but it's not indicative of how "smart" a person truly is.
