Yah I commented on the pics on facebook. I think you ended up getting pretty close at the end. One thing I will mention is that your potential is extremely high, just get hyper lean next time.
"A quitter never wins and a winner never quits." So very true, John. Keep on at it!
It's been a great log John, enjoy the well earned deload and I'll be sure to follow the next one...
Pics look good John! Quad seperation is just sick and back has some some great width.
Keep at it John!
Great work so far.

Been on a little vacation but glad to see your still working hard.![]()
Just to recap a few notes on what I did this time (this doesn't mean it will work for you its just what I did this time around)
Basics
1. Carbs at 150-220 depending on the day (ON paper) some days I might have dropped higher, some lower
2. Low fat as possible
3. Protein at 1.5 g's
4. Every 7 days go up in calories from mostly carbs but also fat(1,000 more total calories than on diet days)
5.You I did not change that week I re evaluate my plan and try something new and see if that worked
-cardio 4-5x's weekly 40 minutes high intensity interval cardio
-weeks 11-4 really do the cardio because too much cardio too close to a show can cause a flat look
-Take a day or two off if I feel like I cant get a good pump
-If your starving thats a good sign your getting ripped
-slow burning carbs, only time I took in fast burning carbs is post weights and even then I could have took in slow burning carbs which may have helped with extra fatloss
-Posing every for 15 minutes starting eight weeks out
_abs everyday eight weeks out
-If results stalled big time, take a week off cardio, then when I start the cardio back up.
there's probably more....just some simple tips
Pics look great John, was a smart decision to stay out of the contest. However aesthetically you are looking very pleasing. Remember on your Rear Double Biceps to rotate the fists back a little further towards the back of your head to make the peak of the biceps show to those behind you. Also remember to slide the shoulder blades apart at the end of the pose to show the true width of your back. You can tell by how your lower trap is bunched up you are squeezing the blades together trying to flex the back. Remember the pose goes Arms Up, Squeeze in to show thickness then spread out to show all of your width. It takes quite a bit of practice.
I don't know that I agree with this one statement. If eating higher levels of fat, and moderate carbs you will be more satiated. The blood sugar is also more under control so a feeling of starvation is definitely not needed, and could lead to catabolism. It is normally swings in blood sugar that make you feel like you are starving more so than sheer hunger.
John thank you again for another detailed and informative log. I really do look forward to your logs.![]()
Thank you for your thoughts my friend. I definitely have a lot to work on my posing.
As for the starving thing, that is a tip I tried from Chris Aceto this year. He does a low fat diet as possible contest preparation time.
