i saw zz years ago, they were just walking around the crowd mixing in before going on stage-very cool. wish i would have saw morrison and doors and really wish i would have saw jimi.

I've never been to any cool concerts like that. Went to a NIN concert which was fairly decent, and got dragged to a cold play concert by an ex gf..... that's about it.

Saw ZZ as well back in highschool. Played in this crap hole place that had the acoustics of a dumpster! Good times they were...

My first concert was Pink Floyd back in 88 it was at Oakland stadium.. wow what a trip it was :)

I saw them again in 92 twice and one of those times happen to be on my BD, these were very psychedelic times indeed :)

For the next few years I saw lots of other memorable bands like the Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, G&R, Metallica plus others I cant remember... but I'll never forget Day on the Green with Metallica and G&R when the crowd torn up the baseball field lawn to pieces, we just trashed the place.. I never been so high ever.... or since :) I sure miss those times, being worry free high as a kite!

Best show I've been to: Disturbed, Spineshank, and Mudvayne all on the same bill back when 'The Sickness' first came out.

Metallica puts out the best live shows, those guys are rock gods :head: I wish I had clear memories of those concerts.. their the shows are full of energy... anyhow. I'm getting all nostalgic and feeling old all of the certain :happysad:

That does sound awesome. Best show I saw was Iron Maiden and Twisted Sister way back in 1984. Yeah.........I'm old. :sad3:

I am torn for my best show.

Roger Waters: In the Flesh

Or Nine Inch Nails with opener A Perfect Circle

Waters was just epic, but NIN with an opening act of APC was other worldly as well.

Bitches 'til the End !

Man, I'll tell ya, women can be cold until the end!

The doctor, after an examination, sighed and said, 'I've got some bad news. You have cancer, and you'd best put your affairs in order..'

The woman was shocked, but managed to compose herself and walk into the waiting room where her daughter had been waiting.

'Well, daughter, we women celebrate when things are good, and we celebrate when things don't go so well. In this case, things aren't well. I have cancer. So, let's head to the club and have a martini.'
After 3 or 4 martinis, the two were feeling a little less somber. There were some laughs and more martinis.
They were eventually approached by some of the woman's old friends, who were curious as to what the two were celebrating. The woman told her friends they were drinking to her impending end, 'I've been diagnosed with AIDS.'
The friends were aghast, gave the woman their condolences and beat a hasty retreat.

After the friends left, the woman's daughter leaned over and whispered, 'Momma, I thought you said you were dying of cancer, and you just told your friends you were dying of AIDS! Why did you do that?'

'Because I don't want any of those bitches sleeping with your father after I'm gone.'

And THAT, my friends, is what is called,
'Putting Your Affairs In Order.'

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY...

Women are like phones:
They like to be held, talked to, and touched often.
But push the wrong button and your ass is disconnected.

2 concerts that opened my eyes so to speak...Alice Cooper in '73 when in 8th grade and just being introduced to mj or Kiss in '77 as a senoir in highschool and having graduated to much higher standards of said nootropics!! There were many other bands and concerts along the way but those 2 shows really blew me away. And yes those carefree days are sorely missed.

So my attendance 74 Genisis (back when they were good) show must make me very ancient indeed... :006:

Pink Floyd here in Montreal in.. 77 I think. The animals concert...

Yes in 79 was a good show...

Monsters of Rock 1986 Mannhiem, Germany. Outdoors in the park.
Scorpions, Ozzy, Bon Jovi, MSG, Def Lepard, and Warlock.

Outstanding show!!!

Yah you youngsters listened to Kiss... I liked Alice Cooper he showed some range and wrote some good music Kiss ... not so much...

A fifteen year old Amish boy and his father were in a mall. They were amazed by almost everything they saw, but especially by two shiny, silver walls that could move apart and then slide back together again.

The boy asked, 'What is this Father?' The father (never having seen an elevator) responded, 'Son, I have never seen anything like this in my life,
I don't know what it is.'

While the boy and his father were watching with amazement,
an ugly old lady in a wheel chair moved up to the moving walls and pressed a button.
The walls opened, and the lady rolled between them into a small room.
The walls closed, and the boy and his father watched the small numbers above the walls light up sequentially.. They continued to watch until it reached the last number, and then the numbers began to light in the reverse order.

Finally the walls opened up again and a gorgeous 24-year-old blond stepped out.

The father, not taking his eyes off the young woman, said quietly to his son.

'Go get your Mother.'

Caught Floyd's Animals tour with the giant inflatable pig floating over the crowd....
Yes was a cool concert because they had this circular stage in the middle of the arena that spun.

Yes same concerts .. imagine.. there was a bit of a problem with the Pig in Monteal but the music was good. Animals is one of my favourites besides Dark Side of the Moon which is one of the top albums of all time. Umma Gumma for hardcore Floyd fans... Piper at the Gates of Dawn is interesting and again for hardcore fans.

best concert was pink floyd back in 77. talk about tripping-damn.

yes dream weaver, KISS fan here. when i saw them 1st time back in early 70's i didn't know what to expect-they totally blew us away with stage show-they were way ahead of their time when it came to lighting and pyrotechnics. love the song black diamond-live.

props to led zep-true masters of concerts. you knew you were in the presence of greatness-to this day led zep is my favorite band-rip john bohnam!!!

Funny fact. My uncle (in-law) is the singer for Wild Child and he's actually touring with two of the original members of the doors at the moment. Wild Child is a doors cover band with a real heavy cult following, they actually play in the Door's original L.A. lounges. It's pretty cool and he pulls it off alright.

jim used to get arrested often during shows-and that wasn't easy to do back then. i have heard many stories about door's concerts, really feel like i missed out by not seeing them.

cool-tell your uncle 'f'ing A'

That made me feel young again... at least for 5min :)

Pink Floyd sure has an awesome stage presence like no other band, its like a theatrical show plus they update the stage for almost every song.

when they toured through the bay area in 92 they flew a blimp painted in pink looking like a pig with album covers painted on it, later that year I heard they cut the blimp into square foot blocks on sold it, would have been a nice memorabilia to have.

Yeah.... since I don't like Pink Floyd, I'm just going to leave this right here:

Yes, the buttocks are very important too. IMO though, the first signs of a hot lady are the arms and shoulders. Maybe its just me but you can always tell that a lady takes care of herself if she has great arms and shoulders.
