This offer looks legit, at least its from a major bank and they have easy qualifications as you'll see below, I signed up for it, it doesn't take much cash so they better honor it. Go get your free iPod touch :)

Qualifying transactions must be completed by 10/31/10. I forgot to mention... I signed up online and transfer funds from my checking account, it was pretty easy and only too a few minutes, i should get my iPod in Dec and then I'll close the account :)

I've personally vowed not to do any kind of "Get XXXXXXXX free!". I've heard of way too much crap that goes on :(

one direct deposit will cover the minimum requirement or 20 charges on a debit card.. i dont consider that work... I'm not saying this is for everyone, I'll let you know when of if I get it.

banks do suck they pay you as much interest as your mattress these days unless they give you a free iPod ;)
 
From the lukewarm reception this thread got I presume no one was silly enough to go for it, right?

Well, I did, and today my freshly mint iPod touch arrived... its even the latest one with facetime running the latest iOS, the best part is that it did not cost me a dime :D or should I say it, Free :D

Merry X-Mas to you too, I will enjoy the new iPod, I always knew this was a legit offer, this is a big bank not a small internet site... now its time to take out my money and close that account :D

I heard from a friend, I found out today she did not get in on this deal but another friend I mentioned got hers yesterday... others did not bother, I tried letting ppl here know about it but no one jump on it... too bad their loss ;)

I'll keep you posted if/when I hear another killer deal!
 
lol u can also do this with those win a free ipod ads u see on pop-ups or side ads. they make u sign up or get a subscription to 3+ sites that they sponsor and of course u gotta give ur credit card to pay for the shipping of the ipod and after a day or 2, you cancel ur accounts on those sites u signed up on and BAM!!!! u get ur free ipod or laptop. i used to do this in high school with some friends to make some cash
