I recently tried PreMax for the first time. It worked great. I also tried RagNOrok Ultra for the first time and it worked equally well. I will compare these two preworkout products over time and see which provides the most consistant results.

If one were to take pre-max pre and peptopro post workout, would one have to worry about to much glutamic acid intake on a daily basis?

Does glutamic acid covert to l-glutamine? rendering the need for added glutamine post w.o?

Yes, it will function as glutamine. It wouldn't be too much glutamic acid either... its almost impossible to get "too much" amino acid from consuming balanced amino acids from peptopro.

That's really good to hear! I remember there was a ton of hype, then shock at the price per serving then it all dissipated and I was waiting to see some opinions after all the initial press. This is on my list of supplements to try after I get a job... :)

i look at supps like gambling, don't spend more than you can afford to lose. get a job, get your life in order, get some money in the bank and then worry about high priced supplements. as much as we are all tempted by all the new supplements there are far more important things in life.

Repped. I think you are right on the money. Supplements are to supplement your diet and training, they won't do it for you, and you can do it without them. I'll eat less of a fatty meal if its put in front of me and supplement a protein shake later to try to balance it out. I think the problem is when people rely on supplements and do not try to understand why they are taking them or what they are actually doing/why they work.

I think its great that PP has a preworkout that can be used by NCAA athletes since many of them have their training down very well and their diets more or less so they can really utilize something like this to step it up a notch. Its also refreshing to see products whose selling points aren't just the marketing *cough* MT *cough*

thank you for understanding. i get the feeling many of these guys on here are spending money on supps that they really need to be spending on much more important things. feeling like you have to buy every new supplement that comes out is very close to an addiction, imo. i feel that way myself many times, but fortunately i have a wife who gives me a reality check when i get carried away. i have the feeling if i were single with no one to keep me in check i would spend way to much money on supplements that are in the long run not that important.

Very nice words of wisdom, T. Prioritize your life accordingly and it all falls into alignment in the end.

I still get yelled at by the wife though regardless, haha. She's always saying I have too much stuff. The sad part is she's right, but for some reason I like to hoard stuff. :D

yea honestly get your life and finances in order then once your set supp time. But i am a firm believer that diet is the most important aspect of training and everyday life. Supps 2ndary.

What would be interesting is Pre Max with whey isolate instead of the peptopro. Would be relatively the same amino acid profile at crap load cheaper. Just and idea.

Happy xmas everyone btw.

Premax + Waxy Maize is out of this world for me. Like I said, if people are looking for the focus/motivational ****, stick to the other stuff. Pre WOs for people who really train focus more on the nutritional side of things and this certainly does that perfectly. Ive been doing low rep heavy training and switched it up this week for reps and drop sets. Its been miserable but I used premax today and there was a real world difference. I was doing squats for 10-15 reps starting at like 275 (Im short, gimme a break) and dropping it from there. I ended the day after 3 hard drop sets with 315x5. I would get under weight and feel like there was no way to even get one rep. Standing with it was a chore, and Id knock out 10 reps. And walking out of the gym, I didnt feel like my CNS needed a 3 month vacation. Like I said, you wont feel it as much as others but towards the end of the workout and after, thats when it shines. Thats my take.
TexasTitan,

I believe your post hit the nail on the head about Premax. Recovery from extremely intense workouts, especially when it would ordinarily crush the CNS, makes this supplement extremely valuable. If one is on a budget, buy a couple a tubs on sale and just use it during your most intense workouts of the week.

I'd buy it for sure, the pepto pro wasn't ever the selling point for me, in all honesty it was just that I hold PP in high regard and would love to try any/all of their products. Not trying to be a fanboy or anything, I think a lot of people find PP to be very trustworthy and worth the prices.

I've been using PreMax prior to workouts and I am loving it. I've probably used 6-7 servings of the product. I use it prior to my more demanding training sessions. To top things off, I recently started using Applied Nutriceuticals' RPM prior to training as well. With this combination, I've experienced increased intensity, strength, energy, endurance, and recovery.

I have another tub of PreMax so I'll continue to experiment with this preworkout stack. I'm loving the results thus far. I've tried numerous preworkout products over the years (probably 10+), and I have to say I am very impressed.

The werid thing about GPLC is I do not feel sore after training but when I wake up in the morning KABOOM I realized I trained extremely hard.

It's a weird feeling isn't it? A bit like when I used GH-secretagogues for the first time!
