Christines..pull away the food spree cut!

I know how you feel. It won't be long for you and you can relax for a minute. When you come train over here with Sean it will perhaps make it slightly fun..:)

Yeah, today was not much better. I think some time out every 8-12 weeks is better than every 16 weeks. I just hope that I can get back into it with a a passionate vengeance (since I plan on going HARD like I have the last few weeks) after that week off.

well, I had another friend i haven't seen in a while tell he how much different I look, so I guess things are working. Its funny when I look in a mirror I see how far I have to go still, while other people see how far i've come.

E you have made a huge lifestyle change, you should be very proud of how far you've really come bro...

Back day

15 incline bench belly down rows for 4 sets.

Same position with dumbells turned other way rows 10 per arm supersetted with 15 behind the hip seated shrugs for 4 sets.

Bent over lat cable pulldowns for 15 with 10 squatted pulls for 4 sets.

Then we did standing pulldowns to the chest for 15 reps with 15 plyo moves for 4 sets.

Then we did 10 wide grip pulldowns.

Hit some more and called it a day.

Yesterdays cardio..13hrs of amusement park walking. Exercise, trying to hold my 8 yr old son in the roller coasters since he only made the minimum height by wearing heelys.

Its really sad when you are fit and yet your fitness gives you no real advantage when you do something like that. I'm sooo sore in the legs from just plain walking! Tonight is also leg day. I'm not sure what will happen here. My trainer has been calling, not sure if she got stuck in a show in Penn guest posing.

Legs

It turns out I hurt my left leg at the amusement park and its not just sore.

We started with standing curls at 10 per leg supersetted with 15 lying curls at 80lbs. This is when i realised it really hurt..I muscled through and did it anyway.

Then we did front squats for 15 reps supersetted with 15 leg extensions.

Then we did single leg deadlifts with dumbell for 10 per leg. These also bothered my leg. These were supersetted with walking lunges from one end of gym and all the way back.

Then we did the butt leg press kneeling at 10 per leg.

Did a few more things and ended with three sets of calves at 30 reps on a different machine for each set.

All the rest of the stuff I did was 4 sets.

I hope to get some treadmill time in, however I am exhausted so we shall see.

hardcore extreme amusement parking?!

you never cease to amaze me kiddo :)

LOL it was the most fun cardio I've done yet. Get the heart rate up on the roller coasters and then walk to the next...it counts right!!

I actually woke up leaner the next day!

Shoulders

I may have hurt my back. Only time will tell.

We started seated on the diamond plate step up and did 15 presses for 4 sets.

Then we did seated dumbell? hmmm what to call these? We took the dumbells and held them and did a tap on the floor up into a hammer press for 15 reps and 4 sets.

Then we did the same tap on floor up into a front raises and twisted the dumbell and went down to tap the floor, we did 15 of these. This is where my back started hurting, it seems to be muscular not skeletal.

Then did the following on a reebok coreboard. We did a front bent arm raise with a side lateral pulse as 1 rep for 15 reps. Then we got down and shook the coreboard for 50 reps with 6 push ups for 4 sets.

Then we did a bent over lateral raise with a front shrug as 1 rep for 15 reps.

We hit a few other things and then I did 3 sets of broomstick twists with 1 set of crunches and 3 sets of leg lifts.

Will hit treadmill time in a min.
Then we did

I sloppied up my diet including having a few beers and mixed drinks, plus eating more cals in general, doing no cardio, and i'm down a pound.

I dunno how but :arms:

Sometimes those extra calories make a difference :)

My diet has gone right out the window this week. I keep telling myself to let it go and enjoy it, because after Sunday there'll be no more of it! :p

Chest day

Did incline at 55lb for 15 rep, 65 for 10 x 2 sets, and 95lb x 6
each of those were supersetted with an ab exercise for 25 reps.

Then we did pec deck for 15 reps supersetted with decline push ups , feet on bench hands on floor for 6 reps x 4 sets.

Then we did dumbell flyes for 15 reps supersetted with 10 DB deadlifts for 4 sets.

Then we did overhead extensions for 15 reps x 4 sets

Then we did 6 walkouts with 50 mountain climbers for 3 sets.

I did am cardio today and hope to get a second session in tonight.

I can't wait to be back doing that again (hope my body is more responsive than it was last week).

Sounds like training is going well for you though, Christine. Get better FAST!

How have you been? How are you adjusting to the time difference? Hope you are enjoying yourself!

I've been good. Time difference is fine. I am back to my 5-5.5 hours sleep total daily, which is fine by me, albeit in 2-3 hours sleeping slots. Sleeping times are a little different, either very late at night to early morning or mid to late morning. Things are good so far. This week is more for settling in and letting loose re training and diet and then hitting it hard again next week (and will get Sean back into it as well) :)

Yes...we'll both be working out regularly again starting next week. :). BTW...how are you doing C? Thought I would drop by and say hi too. :wavey:

Cheers!

LOL hi Sean . I figured you guys would take some time to enjoy yourself before training! Like I've said before there are more important things in life that will pass you bye. Taking a week off to rest and catch up with life is always good. And you two have certainly had to wait a long time for this time together for fun!

Speaking of taking a day off. Our friend Joe Thomas is doing a film showing in out theater with all benefits to cancer. So we are taking off the gym to go support him!!

The trainer is texting me as we speak to harrass me about taking it off and try to get me to come in earlier so who knows,I may still train. But I have been sick since Sat so I might still take the day off.

Oh I also got my phosphatidyl choline back in and have resumed taking it. This is one of my favorite cutting supps.

We finally went to the store and got the things we need to go on diet. YAY! I'm so excited to diet this time! I enjoyed my weekend and I'm fresh and ready to go!

i'm on day 2 of strict technical ketogenic diet, so should be in ketosis now I think. and an hour of cardio each day yay. should be a good 2 weeks. I calipered myself last nite to get a starting point and i'm somewhere between 11.5-13.5% it says from 1 point calipering, but that seems believable as an overall number. I may have areas with more because my fat is a little disproportionate, but that means I have less in other areas...

So at worst 8lbs of fat loss should put me in single digits

I have considered doing a bod pod to find an accurate bodyfat , however I may just wait until the end. I was surprised how far off I really thought I was. Last time I did it it had me much higher than I thought I was.

But honestly that is just a number, it still comes down to the mirror and what pics show. But we have been really bad, pints of ice cream, drinking, desert, pizza... I have some dieting to do and cardio. I am relieved to have food finally here, now I can quit cheating and play the game right.

Are you going to log with me...the Olympia duo!!

sure that sounds good! I think I need to get even lower than upper single digits to see the love handles completely go away (since they are as big as they are). We'll see where it goes, I should be able to drop much of it pretty fast then go back to recomping. Thats the current short term plan with the wounded elbow anyhow. Its most of the way back already, but i'll give it longer to be on the safe side.

I must be in keto, here it is 5pm, I feel mentally focused, have energy and have only had around 1400 cal so far after 1 hour of cardio this morning. I may go ride the bike with the kids later for some extra cardio. Guess I should enjoy this feeling while it lasts :D

Leg day

Well I am a grumpy girl! She decided that getting sck is a good trade off for being in Olympia shape..I do not.

I'm quite capable of getting my cardio in without making myself sick. I will train legs on my own if I don't win the battle of wills!

We started with leg extensions at 70 x 15 for 2 sets and 90 x 10 for 2 sets.

Then we did 3 sets of weighted dumbell lunges.
Then we did 3 sets of reverse weighted dumbell lunges.
Then we did 3 sets of a lunge to one side then the other with a jump into a squat as a single rep. We did 10 reps, 3 sets.

Then we did deadlifts on a platform so we had to go below the toes for 10 reps supersetted with walking dumbell lunges.

Then we did 30 platform skip up jumps superaetted with walking pump lunges.

Then we did a single set of 100 calves.

I will do cardio later this evening after my stomach settles.

Honestly with clen and T3 together she will eventually kill me if she does not tone it down. I by no means need that kind of intensity.

Ok, so we're 59 days or coming up close on 8 weeks out from the O (geez, where the hell does the time go???) so when are going to start the duo log? :) Start at the 8 week mark which will be friday?

LOL 8 weeks , is that all? We can start whenever you want. I'll be dragging my sore crippled dilapated body on the treadmill after all today.

I did 35 min last night on the treadmill. I'll aim a little higher today!

I did 6 miles or so with sylvia on the bikes last nite, stopped midway for a drink..... on top of the hour of cardio in the morning.

tonite LA fitness has their cardio kickbox class I think I may go, already did 45 min this morning.

LOL go Eric go!!

Did 30 min of cardio earlier. With the hope to do another 20-30 min later.

Shoulders.

We did a jerk and press barbell with 15 reps for 55lbs x 4 sets.

Then we did 30 lying leg lifts.

Then we did 15 rope pulls to the forehead for 70lbs with 10 incline pop push ups for 4 sets.

Then we dropped the pulley to the ground and stood backed up to the pole and did between the leg front raises for 15 reps x 4 sets.

Then we did dumbells starting in front and going full circle over the head for 15 reps.

Then we did 15 up and outs for 4 sets.

Then we did pulley on bottom rope to the chin for 15 reps and 4 sets.

We hit a few other things and I decided to do 3 sets of 100 broomstick twists to end the day.

well, kickbox cardio didn't work out. made it thru a little over 5 minutes, heart rate was in the 160s and I bailed out of the class. finished off a half hour on the precor crossramp ellipticals though. I think i'm gonna hurt in the morning, even from that little bit. Just a really fast paced class, and too much impact for my knees

yeah, vaguely embarrassing to bail on a class but I knew it would have been bad if I tried to stay. sucks to have knee arthritis. I'm trying some unusual things to fix it, but no luck so far. So even just the fast jump rope, jumping jack, etc moves end up causing me to really really tighten up muscles hard to attempt to cushion the joint since they've gotten used to that. Been 16 years of ****ty knees now

Weren't you the one that mentioned Krillipid Balance was helping joints only a few days in, or was that someone else?

not me, sadly. i'm dosing the "light" caps at 4 a day, along with (just for your laughters sake) 1600mg SAM-e, 1.5g n-acetyl-glucosamine, osteosport, plus 6g fish oil as well and still nada.

It was from one of your earlier threads that I learned the value of mega-dosing fish oil and its many benefits. I never go below 12 grams per day and consider this low-end dosing.
Up that fish oil Easy!!!:drillsergeant:
