AZ Heating Up With Andro Rx

Yes we are. I fear I may have some wifey anger to take out on the iron. Beware. Had the fight of the century on Saturday morning, and haven't spoken since.

You know, it's gonna be a lot more fun when I come out to NY this summer if neither of us has the gf baggage.

All good. As many of you can tell, I'm not really much of an emotional type. Still not easy though. Gotta see how the next few days pans out.

I think no matter how tough we are it still sux to fight with the woman. Smallest woman on Earth could do the biggest amount of damage to a strong man.
Maybe time away is the best thing. Breathe easy and then look at some rational options and make a move from there. I usually go straight irrational and break my own stuff. Then I'm super pissed after that.

I hope it works out for you.

It's the old double edge sword...some days I would just like to come home to my house and not have to deal with any drama and others I like coming home and having somebody there. Get a dog TL!

women are our ultimate weakness. I swear, no matter how much my soon to be ex drives me insane, I still have to fight myself in regards to her. A sucker for a pretty face damn it

I crave the pain!! It's the most powerful sensation that we experience.
It leaves the deepest of scars, mentally. :yup:

:

I wish to add that it (pain) also leaves the deepest scars not only mentally, but also physically, spiritually, emotionally, and lastly psychologically.

I think I shall miss pain one day. I will however NEVER forget the lessons it has taught me. :box:

Day 10:

I guess my pool party took a little more out of me than I thought. The ribs were talking to me during the entire w/o. I just refused to listen! Got busy with what I needed to accomplish. Did my usual ABs routine for the warm-up and sweat starter and went to the weights:

Biceps: EZ Bar curls 60-15,80-10,and then the DC set 100-13-5-4
Forearms: Hammer curls 40-20, this is 1 minute after the bicep finish.

Calves: Sitting plate load calf machine 90-15,115-10, and then the DC set 170-10-6-5
Hamstrings: SLDL 80-10,120-10,160-10,180-10 I don't DC this movement
Quads: Box Squats 135-10,185-10,225-5,275-3,305-4 widow 225-20 I went to heavy with the 305. It is only the second time with these and my form was not good. I will pull that back and get more comfortable with it.

All in all a solid feeling w/o. I still feel great and recover nicely. The drive is deffinitely more focused during the w/o. Let's see where week 2 goes!! Oh yeah, I guess I ate a little bit this weekend...weight pre w/o..208. Not sloppy either.

You should post some pics of that home gym. Curious to see what you got.

Those widows are what I'm talkin about!!! MONEY :aargh:!!!!!

This looks like it is giving you some sick endurance.

Thanks Big! The gym is pretty basic for sure. I have a power rack with an upper and lower cable pull attachment. The front has chin up bars and I have dip bar attachments as well. I have two adjustable benches, an olympic bar, ez curl bar, and 365lbs of weights. I have a set of powerblocks that go to 95lbs, seated plate load calf machine, lying hamstring plate load machine, and a calf block. I have assorted bars for the cable stack too. It gets the job done.

And yes...I feel like I can keep pounding away at the weights without stopping. I finished the widow set and actually felt like doing more. Good stuff!

sounds exciting

Nice job AZ - only note is I thought that when running DC you don't RP calves. Just 3 sets of 10-12 - very slow negs.....?

Nice widow set. Are you doing all the stretches too? That DC quad stretch is a mutha!

That is true Nole. I just changed it up to see if this brought any results. I will probably go back to the standard soon. The stretches are all stil there! The quad is a deffinite killer.

How long do you guys rest pause, doing these DC style workouts? I usually rest about 6-10 seconds.

Depends on your intensity. I can't get back into position within 6-10 seconds. I take 10-12 DEEP breaths.

Well Ill try out the 10-12 deep breaths..thanks for the tips mang!

12 deep breaths is what I have always heard. It's what I have been utilizing for my rest-pause sets as well.

So I think you guys have converted me, just through my experimentation with rest pause, I think I get a better workout from it in a shorter period of time.

That being said, I am gonna finish out the rest of this cycle as planned, then hop on a DC routine afterwards... kinda looking forward to it.

Wheew talk about heating it up, I gotta try that

They should fall into 20-30 second range at most. You should still feel your heart beating and sweat from the previous fail! :head:

DC is pretty good I have to say. Shaddow made some sick gains utilizing DC on his latest cycle.

Very true...now if we can only find him

That's the ticket right there Big. I actually use a stopwatch when doing it. Type A OCD problem I know...

Day 11:

Off day today but I don't feel like I need it. I am ready to rack the weights up and get after it. My younger days might have seen me do that but, I know I will get better results with the rest. The shake with the 2 tbsp of almond butter before bed is keeping the hunger pangs away during the night. I wake up feeling alot more rested on the 1-Andro. It's been all positive from my side.:wave2:

This dream chick of mine from college is a total Type-A nutjob... She used to lay out her outfits the day before, and color code her notes. Still got love.

You WOULD dig a chick like that. Actually, I would rather someone be OCD than sloppy, myself included.

Bodybuilding=OCD. Kinda one in the same when you think about it. But it makes me happy. :D

12 deep breaths, or about 20 seconds is how i do it, or should i say did it before the shoulder injury sidelined me:worried: Looking good on the log AZ.

I did the 10-12 deep breath thing too. But when my partner moved I had to stop DC - its something I really needed a reliable partner for and haven't found another yet

Day 12:

Start off with my rotator cuff warm up routine and then hit the weights.

Chest: Incline DB 60-20,70-10,80-5, DC set 90-15-6-4 stretch for 90 seconds with 40lb DBs

Shoulders: BB press 115-10,135-5,160-5, DC set 185-9-4-3 Rested a minute and did an Arnold press widow set with 40lb DBs. I could not get rep 20.
Lateral Raises: 15-20,25-10 and then my drop set of 35-10,25-10 and 15-20. Nice burn going on!
Rear Raises: 15-20,20-10 and then my drop set of 25-10,20-10 and 15-15. These are a work in progress. Never really worked these much before.
Traps: BB Shrugs 135-10,185-10,225-10 and then did 275-6x3 sets and went right to 70 lb DBs for a set of 20.

Nice and quick w/o today. I was feeling lazy before starting but picked it up when the weights started moving. I have noticed that I am waking up at night dripping in sweat. This is something new for me. My body temp seems to be running hotter than usual these days. Of course setting a record for May with the 14th consecutive day in triple digits doesn't help. Tomorrow is my day to ride in the morning.

Thanks AE! I forgot to put in that I weighed in at 207 today. The increase of cals seems to be going well.

Nice workout mang!

Whew - 90 sec stretch w/those 40s for the pecs. Brutal.

Things are looking good AZ. What types of distance do you normally hit on your rides in the mornings? Or is it more time oriented?

Those stretches are killer! I just go for 20 miles which comes in at around an hour and ten minutes. We have alot of hills out here so it makes for a great workout!

Nice numbers on the db press, 90 x 15 x6 x4 is a tough run for sure. 90 sec stretch, did you cry a little after? I would have.:worried:

That is something to endure! The feeling afterwards makes it worth it though.

Day 13: Got in my ride and felt very relaxed after my shower. Pounded down my egg/oat bran pancake and everything was feeling full. One thing I have noticed about 1-Andro is the cravings for carbs. I just want to stuff my face with them. It is a battle not to go after the sweets.

My upper chest is nice and sore today. My 17yr old keeps poking me there when ever he walks by. We have a sadistic type of love!! I will usually give him a good punch in the thigh while riding in the car after a good leg day. It's a mutual trophy of success for a job well done. Tomorrow will be triceps and back...can't wait.

Exploitation of anothers pain is the defenition of a loving relationship!!!

Awesome work on the long bike ride. I think that might be fun, but I really don't need another thing to take hours of my time. I think my wife would kill me if I got another hobby. Maybe when the last of my 3 kids gets old enough that I don't have to worry about entertaining him it might be possible.

The only way I can do it is before anyone in my house is even awake. I am out and back in time to wake the kids for school. It's a great way to start the day.

sounds familiar, I do the same. Everyone is asleep and I am at the gym at 4:30 either hitting the bike or treadmill for fasted cardio. Glad to know I am not the only nut out there :)
