Oh, right... Like YOU GUYS WEREN'T all thinking the SAME DAMN thing...

I've always been down with chicks who can pick their own nose with their tongue. It's a cultural thing.

If it ain't one thing it's a motha****in' other....
I just hit a deer @ 50mph. It was INSANE!!! ****er came out of nowhere. I looked in my side mirror and saw it do about 3 billion flips before landing on the front end of an SUV going in the opposite direction. The SUV driver must have thought he was losing his mind cuz the deer must have looked like it fell from the sky. My car is overheating and it smells like I'm burning fluids. Pretty sure insurance is gonna total it. And now I have no way to get to the gym tonight. ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FML.
Man that's crazy. Well, I hope you gutted the sucker. Venison is good muscle fuel!...You okay? Your girlfriend?
The deer?...did PETA arrive at the scene?
Edit: Man, if I ever hit a deer, I'm going to make a scene. Act like I'm a huge animal lover.
"I'm SORRY DEER!!!! OOHHHH GOD!!! NOOOOOO!!!!" - All while crying.
^^^LOL
Yo man insurance will cover it. My gf's dad just had the same thing happen and everything was covered.
Nah, Shaddow's in good hands...He could have a spicy deductable. Most are 250 to 500 bucks... So yeah, its covered - after costing two months worth of supplements and food... :worried:

I believe my insurance will pay me back for a car rental, but they won't front me. I have to send in my bills afterwards. So that sucks.Damn Shaddow!! When it rains it pours! Your insurance should cover car rentals for 15-30 days (depending). I know how it is and I can sympathize to having some BS derail your trip to the gym.
One morning I took 5 rpms and 25mg Ephedrine HCL, I felt it kick in, I drank my BCAA's and my car won't start for like 15 min, it kept dying out, so when it finally started, I had to drive it straight to my car shop, all hopped up on stims and restless from my inherent desire to lift that morning. I said phunk it and rented a car to hit the gym, paid out of pocket (I needed the car for 3 days, so...), all to say, that sucks.
I've only ever ran over an already dead squaral and it felt like running over a giant cracker.

The worst part is that my insurance just went down, and my record was spotless after years of reckless driving, tickets, and a couple of accidents from my earlier crazy youth fueled racing days. Literally, I think like 2 months ago my record should have showed up spotless. And now this.
5 RPM's and 25mg ephedrine... Holy crap, dude. That's nuts.
Heys, bro. I'm pleased to read that you're all right and that you'll be able to get everything sorted.
Don't ask me. I suck at form on that exercise. I always opt for the machines or cables purely because my form is so crappy with the DBs. Mine definitely look more like presses towards the end, and yours kind of did as well...that's why I don't dig DB Flyes so much. I think the machines are much better fitting for that exercise. They really allow you to extend your arm all the way out and get a nice, long stretch.
How come you don't yell sweet phrases like, "Ya ba-bayyyy!!!!" or "Light weight ba-bayyyyy!!!!!!" - Instantly adds 3 reps to each exercise.![]()
I like how you roll those DB up into position - very fluid!
Your form looks good as far as focussing on the movement, but personally I have far less bend in my elbows, otherwise it becomes more of a press.
I've never really seen myself lift before.

Gotcha. I see that. So basically my arms are supposed to be spread apart as far as possible? I definitely see that my arms go to like 90 degree angles. I'm picturing my arm position on cables. Should they be truly 0 degrees or just slightly bent?
I'm gonna work on the movement with much less weight but I think I will probably switch these out for cables. I've always loved incline cable low pulley flies.

you don't need a lesson in form at all. You have solid form when your fresh and it breaks up a tad as you fatigue which is natural, but you don't break up to the point of illegitimacy. Me personally, on the incline, I allow my upper back to come off the bench, that sort of inherently occurs if you really let those DB's drop low. I like to break parallel with the body, but that also requires a bit more bend at the elbows. At this point, you could start debating less bend, more torque to overcome vs more bend, deeper stretch, so, of those two methods, I leave it up to subjective preference without getting too anal.
The only thing I would add to in terms of critique, wouldn't be form related, but intensity related. I think the struggle you put into your third set should be about at that level during your second set.
I'd go 75, 80, 85. Unless you were intentionally doing a 2 set warm up to 1 intensive set, HIT style. 20-40lbs fluxuations (and more) in Barbell weight is normal, but if your 3rd set is 40lbs heavier in Db weight then your first set, then your first set was 30lbs too light.
You look strong enough to handle 75, 80, 85, or maybe 70, 75, 80, to end on 8 reps'ish. Nice work and good video quality.
Nope, not spread apart all the way, like Jake had said. I would keep the bend at 90-135 degrees; this way, you will still get good stretch, and you will not have much stress on your elbow. Personally, I like my arms bent at a 90 degree angle as you have yours. However, I do like to have the incline up a few notches higher. When I extend and fly up the weight, I do not touch both ends of the DB together, but only the top two, closest to where my thumbs are - For me, namely, it takes a lot more stress off of my delts. Other than the above stated, your form will do just fine, from my point of view.
As for cables, I only do two movements on them for my chest: Standing Incline Crossovers (start from the top) and Standing Decline Crossovers (start from the bottom). I do not care much for the seated movements on cables as I save those seated/lying movements for BB and DB.
I actually usually switch up the angle when I switch my routine around. So I'm at the lowest incline setting right now, two months ago when I was doing them I did them @ 1 notch higher. And 2 months before that they were 2 notches up. I get what you're saying about touching just the top end of the db's too. Makes sense.
As for cables, have you ever tried incline bench low pulley cables flies? They're pretty freaking money. I personally really enjoy them, just haven't done them in a few months.
Thanks for the additional feedback, bro. Much appreciated.
no prob. to add, i don't hold the db's parallel, that is, directly up and down. there's a slight angle in the way i hold the db's while doing flies; i have them positioned like i would touch them at the top. i've never used any sort of bench setup while doing cables. perhaps i may give the incline bench low pulley cable flies a try today, but it's just the motivation in wheeling the heavy ass bench all the way across the gym.
Monster dude... very nice.
Yea I was wondering about your form when you said you were doing 80lb incline flys but those are very legit. Good for you, thats great. I go lower to get more of a stretch but thats personal preference.
YO SHADDOW WHERE YOU AT?!

Is it true?!
Hey guys, sorry I've been MIA. Got a ton of catching up to do. I'll be back with some updates shortly!
B1 tonight: db curls, reverse bb curls, sled toe press, lying leg curls, power squat.
Strength and endurance are down, but I've been waking up ~203-205.
