No need to push when cruising...it's hard because you feel like you are a slacker but, you know the carnage will be back with a vengeance soon!!
 
On a DC cruise you don't wanna push yourself too hard.

the upside, is my pool is now heated to 72, so i got some great cardio in.

Sometimes I feel the same way, If im not hurting, i didnt have a good work out..lol..I cant wait to get in the pool here once it opens!

man, i could move to florida and buy a house with a pool and it would cost less than the rent in this condo (1700). my house that i'm renting out is half way paid off, so i may make that stretch for a florida house in a decade :)

still cruising strong. i feel silly updating this log during a cruise, since the numbers are just boring, and there's absolutely no progression.

deadlifted 315x8, 315x7 today. so frikken bored with this cruise, though i know its necessary. can't wait for it to end, and crack open my bottle of incarnate :)

also, did a triset of:
pullups
lat pulldowns
close grip lat pulldowns
 
what's the good word sunny? (besides being bored)
 
Sounds like the cruise is doing exactly what it is supposed to....get the fires burning again!! Just get ready for the next slaughter.

lolz! so your basically giving your body a break from all the trauma huh? well when your rested up and ready for another intense session whats your routine gonna look like? similar to your old routine? or you gonna do 1 major muscle group a day and hit each muscle once a week or what?

thinking of doing the timber split - one muscle group per day, though i may tweak it some. i'll still rest pause it though, since i really like the rest pause setup.

funny story, my mom has this glass door to the patio that's on a broken track - like it doesn't want to open. its always irritated me, and when all out bulking, very hard to move. last week i went over, and opened it up like it was a normal door - on track and everything - no pauses, no grunting, nothing. i think the DC protocol is helping with my strength to a degree i didn't expect, so i'm keeping that aspect.

Ah, we are running the liquidrone at the same time! We should hit up a workout while your in town brudda!

Come on Sunny....stay with the program. By the time you can blast again it will be insane! There is a method to this madness of blast and cruise. Do you feel rested and wake up in the morn ready to go? If so, then things are going well. Just have your plan set up for when the insanity cranks back up....booyah!! I am cruising right now as well and will be rocking it as soon as my little treat shows up in postal...

I was refering to the cruise Sunny. Now when you come back from cruising, you have to roll back in slowly. I usually stay at the lower cruise weights for the first week with the rest pauses and then ramp up the weights from there. As far as what program you run...what were you going to do?

ahh. gotcha. i was thinking of doing the timber split, and rest pausing two compound movements per body part, then doing isolation ones rest paused after. i'm definitely only going to up the weights minimally for the first week of the blast.

i can't get enough of the rest pause workouts, but hitting chest twice a week and back twice a week is starting to take its toll on me.

Absolutely! I'm a little ashamed of my strength right now though...did a chest routine last week and STRUGGLED with 90's.

I could sure use a good workout partner!!
 
I'm still coming up to speed on this training DC method but I'm not clear of what consists of a cruise... do you not train at all or train with light weights? sorry the lame question but I'm a complete nob when ti comes to this!
 
Dormant, go to Intensemuscle.com and that has everything you need for info. When you cruise, you pull the weights down about 10% and do straight sets with no failure reps. I actually cruised one time and did not lift at all for a week. I just did light cardio. That was a living hell!!
