SUNCLOUD'S workout log with assorted goodies

For deads I go without straps for the warm up sets and then stap in for the heavy set. Sunny, ATP has the best selection and straps around. I love mine!!
 
straps are needed imo with heavy deads, i dont want to be doing deads with the over under grip, ive seen alot of injuries...mostly torn biceps and just seems uneven to me, if i have to use a over under grip then im gonna bust out the straps forizzle and do them over over grip

Agreed, over under grip is whack.
 
Sunny - For Lats I'm going to recommend another exercise that has really helped me.

Lat Pulldowns at a dual pulley station. Start light and really pull that sh*t down below your ear. You get a much larger range of motion than with a bar.

Squeeze the crap out of your lats at the bottom of the rep.

Are you talkin about the cable lat machine that uses the handle straps? Cant member who makes it, but thats what i use as well at my gym for the lats, IMO i get a MUCH better "feel" for lifting the weight!

I cant do that under and over hand stuff either and wont! At my heavist DL i should be using straps since my lil forarms and wrists cant handle much

argh! minor setback today. lower back where it inserts into the glutes was a little stiff. after my first set of deads, i could feel an uncomfortable "pump" on only the lower right side. the pain was enough to convince me not to attempt SLDL or my widowmaker set, so this workout was only half way decent. on a positive note, i was still able to go up in weights on my one set of squats that i did, and hit another PR on pinwheel curls :)

squats (ATG) 225 lbs 6/4/2 - lost a rep, up another 20!
SLDL - none
leg extensions 240 lbs 9/5/4 up 2 reps and 15 lbs :)
cable crunches 150x16
pinwheel curls - 65x 7/4/2 - down a rep, up 5 lbs
standing calf raises 280x17, 280x14 - up one rep and 20 lbs
hack squats - didn't do them :(

after that set of pinwheels, i did try a set of 70's, but i only got 5 reps off, and i think i cheated a bit too much. still in a good mood all things considered, no aggression to note. if my lower back feels up to snuff on friday, i'll do SLDL then.
 
i use alternating grip, and yes, it feels weird :)

i'd go psycho with the calories, pick up some bulk pslin from "USpowders", and either test booster - both AX and GD are great companies.

Hey guys, just got my bulk pslin and made a nice cocktail! Obviously I couldnt tell you much, first time using it today. Hopefully it will benefit growth and recovery.

Cocktail:
40g whey
20g bcaa
5g leucine
160g wms
5g ba
5g glut peptides
5g creatine

I had a custom ix from TP with most ingred, I added leucine, BA, creatine from bulk
 
good god! 160g of carbs? that's crazy talk! seriously though, that looks super solid. as a pre workout meal i don't think you could get much better than what you've got going on there, though i think the bcaa/whey doses may be too high for all of it to be used.

For a blend of WMS, what would be the best per se to to put in then? Ive been thinking of ordering some WMS and was trying to fig out what to blend it with myself. BTW does your name mean you have a del sol???

IMO 75g WMS and 35g protein is all you need. adding in pslin, i would push the WMS to 100-125g.

SC- Is yours pre capped?


I cant find a nailed down "best" time/dosage to take it? Am i just not lookin in the right areas? Just that it should be taken 2 times a day at pre and post "meals". Im guessing the does(in total) will depend on persons, no? According to USpowders it would be 400mgs @ 2x Daily.

mine are pre capped. twice the price that way - i ordered before USPowders did the bulk version, or i would have gotten the bulk instead.

here we go. mood - great. intensity dead on. felt a weird tweaking on both of my side delts, i assume because i'm really beating them down. workout to follow, with PR's in bold :)

thursday
chest/tri/front & mid delts
rest pause

DB bench - 75's 8/5/2 lost a rep, up 10 lbs on dumbells!
Pec Dec - 200x8/4/2 - up 20 lbs, and one rep
Butterfly Machine - 220x10/5/3 - maxed machine :( - up 3 reps
Front delt DB raises - 40x7/4/3 - up 5 lbs and a rep!
side delt DB raises - 30x8/4/3- up 2 reps. didn't want to try 35lbs since last week i wasn't in my 8-12 rep range for my first set.
Seated dip machine - 325x 8/4/2 - up 2 reps
tricep rope pushdowns 90x 10/5/3 - up 2 reps - 100 does not make my elbows happy
cardio - bike for 10 minutes. we need more cardio bunnies.

no sides to report, though this morning i woke up with a little sweat on me. unfortunately g/f woke up first and i don't know if it was a side of dienedrone, or the central heat was left on overnight. other than that, i'm doing great.

that's a ton of WMS and BCAA's...I'd opt for a blend of WMS and some slower burning carbs.

This is used pre/intra/post so that's why so many carbs, plus with pslin you can get hypoglycemic if you dont get enough carbs. I actually have dextrose & WMS in my blend.

When using capped pslin I take 1 pre-workout with my shake containing oats/wms . . . biceps get tight and full before I even leave for the gym.
