I banned McPoison aka McFatties, from my diet 4+ years ago.....

Alot of guys eat that garbage at work, blaming it on cheap price. go figure.

what a crock of sh!t. "American ranchers raise the highest quality beef in the world" is just an outright lie. Europe and japan refuse to allow our beef into the country, for good reason.

I broke my mother in law of forwarding stupid things that way, i'd just check snopes and forwards the page there back to her. eventually she started to check it herself :D
 
I did that with my friend's mother and she just stopped talking to me. I guess pointing out someone's error is evil or some bullshit.

I didn't even have to check snopes to know that this was probably fake as hell from the beginning. Gotta love how there's absolutely NO sources cited, or links to articles. And you would think that the media would be all over something like this.

Yeah, the best way to spread the word about questionable meat from a fast food restaurant is through a chain email message...:rolleyes:

Who sits around and comes up with chain messages like this anyway? And what the hell is ever the point, aside from annoying people? You would think there would be some kind of business to it or a way to make money, but there's usually never any links or anything like that.
 
My girlfriend's friend was "recruited" by Taco Bell to manage a new franchise. She had never worked in fast food before; they found her retail experience strong.

Anyhow, she told me that she decided never to eat at Taco Bell again after just a couple days on the job. She said they use USDA Grade D beef, or whatever the worst grade possible for human consumption is. She said the franchisee (who owns many other local fast food places) has a deal with a local supermarket to get nearly-rotting produce for free right before the market throws it out, to save money.

Hearing that marked the end of my Taco Bell patronage as well!

Thanks for that snopes link. I got tired of retarded relatives forwarding me stupid stuff. For most of this stuff (99%) of the time its clear to me from plain common sense. But I think people so much want to "contribute" that they'd just forward a "good deed" email without actually seeing what they're forwarding.

I remember a while back, my favorite was when they were forwarding an email about "the gruesome slaughtering of dolphins"... and it was forwarded all over the place...

With everyone forwarding it going how "bad" and "gruesome" it is. All well and cool, except the pics didn't even have dolphins in them, they were whales (little difference haha), plus a very badly photoshopped "bloody lake". Like 3 "dolphins" and entire ocean behind them that is red...

Ok I'm off-topic I know lol. Besides, did ya guys know McDonalds is completely different in different countries? I mean even the same meals. Like there are 30-40 different big-macs in the world. The big mac here has half the calories than the one in the usa.
 
Yeah, and my disagreement with the initial post doesn't mean I approve of mcdonalds, or that they dont because of their size horribly manipulate cattle and other farmers. But you can't raise awareness by starting with lies.

Most "hippies" today subscribe to the "ends justify the means" thing lol. If the goal is "noble" then lying and manipulating to achieve it is ok.

my favorite example of that is Rima Laibow, lying about the Codex Alimentarius. She has valuable things to share, and there are problems and issues with the Codex as well. But lying about its contents is silly but she does it anyway. "The Codex will require that all foods be irradiated for storage" is one of her battle cries, and is 100% false.
 
Not to mention Taco Bell pulls their meat from bagged beef that's steamed/heated in water... they weren't buying from a local market unless they weren't abiding by franchise regulation.
