Weight - ?

.. apart from major stomach discomfort the first 30 minutes [until I took a bathroom break following deadlifts], tonight's session was f*cking insane. The pump; the vascularity; the strength .. I felt GREAT; I felt INVINCIBLE; I felt ALPHA MALE !!! I was breeeezing through my exercises; piled on the plates; broke some personal records, including a nutty 225 [5 plates; no room for more] on the One-arm Hammer Rows. Holy $hit. And the mind/muscle connection; surreal!

.. I began Blue Gene @ 6 caps 70 minutes pre-workout today. Up from 5 caps. I need the additional joint support, and I need an additional boost in these Rocky Mountain gym sessions. I sure as helt felt 'something' today. That's all I needed to 'feel' in order to maintain my 6 caps/day dosage.

Here's a post-workout back shot. I hate handling the camera myself ... I'm starting to cut up now, so count on the lower back/obliques being a helluva lot leaner in a couple of weeks !

I'm starting to get some damn wings under my arms ! I give a lot of credit to this for my past 3 weeks of hard core back sessions; I've put all I've had into them. Pullups to the front and back on each and every back day. Full hang/stretch, and a peak contraction every time. The mind/muscle connection with my back muscles is getting considerably greater. I've got this 'feel' for training my back .. it's my favorite bodypart; when you get all pumped during a back session, you just look overly large ! Jacked !

Day 12

So, as I said, I did the fasted training...

It was GREAT! I honestly haven't felt that good during a workout in a loooong time. Had a crazy pump going, and I kept a steady heart-rate, probably around 125 during rests and 145 during sets. I didn't break an extremely heavy sweat, which makes me feel like I'm not breaking the catabolic threshold.

1hr pre-workout: 5 BlueGENE, 10 WhiteFLOOD, 2.4g 1-C, 1 scoop GreenMAG

Intra-workout: 40g BCAAs, 6 scoops GlycerGROW

Post-workout: Meal 1 (took me about an hour to drink this )

1hr after shake: Meal 2

The workout only took me 50mins as opposed to my usual 1.25hrs for lifting. It was a great session. Some sets were on par, some were up, none were down.

I didn't do any HIIT afterwords, but considered a light 20min walk, and decided against it. I am going to take this fasted training thing slowly. I may or may not train fasted tomorrow since it's an Olympic day. I feel those would be some hard sessions to get through without fuel. So I may do the normal thing and have Meal 1 before my workout tomorrow, and just train fasted on the days I normally did HIIT.

Here's the workout...

Back/Bis:

Bent Over BB Row: 135x23,21,18, 155x17,15,14,15,14
Rope Hammer Curl: 60x21,20,18, 65x16,15,15,15,13

Standing Lat Pulldown: 35x25,25, 45x21, 50x17,16,15,14,15
CG EZ-Bar Curl: 50x26,22, 60x16,14,15,14,15,14

When I was done, I was around the front desk trying to drink my shake, staring at the shaker bottle in disgust, getting the shivers each time I took a sip...I looked up at the girl up front and she started laughing and said, "Oh, the things you do to look good."

LOL We're a strange bunch aren't we? Hey no different than the guy swilling hard liquor to "feel" how we look :D

My schedule will be a little messed up today; diet and training that is. I'm not sure when I'll be hitting the gym...Probably after my second meal.

I had to take my bro to the airport this morning at 4:30am, so I'm all out of whack, and slow-moving on top of it.

Those pictures are proof of a nordic yetti loose in the snowy rocky mountains ... :D

Looking beastly bro!!!!

Thank you, sir ! I truly appreciate those comments !!!

Day #13:

AM-cardio:

08.00: Wake up
08.05: pop 6 caps Thermo Pump w/8 oz water & a Powerbar
08.45: embark on a 9.5 mile journey
10.20: 9.5 mile run is over

.. so, wake up @ 8AM after not even 6 hours of sleep, and I had to take my car to a repair center 9.5 miles away. I didn't have a ride back because the family went skiing, so I said, 'f*ck it, I'll run' .. Holy $hit, it was tough. In the coool, thin Colorado air. But I pulled through, amazed the hella outta me. I haven't ran in a week, and I haven't ran this far since Spring time this year. Impressive.

.. another note, I'm heading off to Texas early. Tonight, it seems. Not working out with the pops here, so I can't stick around any longer. That's fine, though, I gotta get back home and work anyway ..

That is a major run! I would be puking my brains out if i tried that sh1t!

Dude, I don't know how I made the decision to do so .. I figured, 'eeehhh, why not?!'

.. I'm sore as $hit not, though. Laying on the couch. My whole body is numb. Quite a good feeling, but it means I'll pass on tonight's workout .. I think.

Exsqueeze me? I bacon your powder?

You get up and you lift that weight, son! No excuses, here. Mind over matter.

Day 13

I can not say enough good things about this stack. Today was excellent. The hypertrophy portion was meh, but the Olympic Lifts were great. Since I did supersets again, some of my tricep sets went down in reps. My triceps tire out more quickly than any other muscle.

I took Vikings advice on the GlycerGROW, and had 3 scoops pre, and 3 scoops intra. My pump and vascularity was incredible.

Day 2: Chest/Tris/Olympic Lower

Incline BB Bench Press: 140x24,18,15,12, 135x12,12,11
Bent Over Rope Ext.: 55x25,22, 60x18,16,17, 65x14,13

Upright Cable Flies:10x20, 12.5x19,19, 15x16,16,14,13,15
CG Bench Press: 95x16,15,14,14,13,13,13,13

SLDL: 135x15, 225x10, 315x4,4, 325x3 - That's up 10lbs from last week. I was supposed to do another set, but didn't realize it until I had racked all the weights, and there was no way I was going to expend all my energy putting the weights back on for one more set. I cut my losses, here.

Squats: 135x15, 225x10, 315x6,5, 335x4, 355x3 - That's up 20lbs from last week, and up 2 reps on the set of 315. I guarantee I could have done 365-375x3, but decided not to do another set.

So, my big lifts went up a decent amount. I'm very happy about this as I've been stuck at the same weight on both of them for a little while. The last time I did 365lb squats was on my Anabolic Edge log, and after I came off the product they went back down.

I'm starting to notice that my forearms are picking up some size, so that's good.

I'm feeling kind of sick right now. I've got a headache and I'm kind of achy, but I think it's from going hypo off the P-Slin. My pre-workout meal consisted of 2 cans of tuna and 28g of almonds, so there was really hardly any energy to it. Normally I have my mass-shake, or breakfast meal, so it's surprising I lifted the weight that I did.

Tomorrow is an off day. :woohoo: - I need it.

Looks good! You're making great progress!

It looks like I may be picking up some Reset AD during the Nutra Planet sale. :D I'm hoping to take it with Shred Matrix- It can only help with my fat loss...

Don't forget we have the REDuction sale - 20 bucks for a box! :)

I considered buying two boxes, but don't know if it would be real wise right now. I feel like my stims are already losing effect again, so it may be time to do a run of ResetAD before I take anymore of that stuff...that doesn't mean I won't pick the REDuction up, though. I may, and just use it later...I'll have to give it some thought. I need to get some of my staples first, and then decide where any extra supplement money should be spent.

Thomas, your lats are out there bro!! You look so wide...you could glide!! Be careful out in strong winds!
I'm sorry to hear about your pops. Try to be forgiving. It's sad when they're gone. Believe me.
Be careful on your way back to Texas. Maybe it won't be covered in snow. Everywhere is getting snow but here in fucking Tennessee. We very rarely see it. And I love it so much!

Uh-Oh!! I hope it is the P-Slin and not that nasty shit that came over me this weekend. That was a virus directly from Hel herself!! :smite:
Take care Irish. If you have any home remedies, now's the time to do some preventative medicating.

Ah, I'm feeling fine now. Thanks, TG. About an hour after I posted it went away.

Whew. :p That's very good to hear. Still enjoy that rest day tomorrow. After that training sesssion you just went through, you deserve it!!

Irish - Just a head's up, but I found out T-911 only has 3mg Yohimbine in it per tab, and MMv2 only 1mg per serving, so you wouldn't be getting an excessive amount if you stacked 'em. I do know you're sensitive to it though...

Renegade - I have been arguing with myself all day as to whether or not I can afford to add Reduction to my cart. That's one good deal, but I've been planning to go pretty-much stim-free this month. We'll see whether my desire for fat-loss or a fat wallet wins out... :)

Working sets: 30 * 20, 30 * 15

Weight - ?

.. I ended up working out after all, as I just had too much anger to take out .. ending my stay in Colorado asap and hitting the road back to Texas tomorrow or the day after.

.. I did something new today .. I didn't go to complete total failure on each working set, and hence, I was able to do a helluva lot of volume today ! The amount of exercises ... I lost count in the middle of it, but it just felt too damn good to stop ! The only reason for why I stopped was because of my stomach .. as usual .. It took me about 70 minutes to complete this session. I felt jacked beyond belief !

.. Glycergrow is taken 90 minutes pre-workout. I take 3 scoops with 20 oz of water/xtend, and then make sure to continue sipping on water up until my workout. I add another 2-3 scoops into 1.3 liters of water and 4 grams of Beta Alanine. Today I actually added the Green MAGnitude to the this GG/Beta Alanine water mix, and hence I had an intra-workout bathroom break, and three following my workout. Talk about giving me a complete flush ...

.. I had an amazing mind/muscle connection today. And my focus was spot-on, despite my stomach trouble. I haven't worked out this focused in a long while, and I felt each and every rep deep into my pectoral muscle tissue. Each rep was performed with slow descent and an explosive ascent, making sure I felt it in the muscle [area] intended for whichever exercise I performed. Blue Gene @ 6 caps/day now .. I contribute alot of this increased focus/stamina/connection to the Blue Gene. Just like last time I took it, around the 11-14 day mark, the effects truly start showing.

Awesome workout. So you've seen a big difference between 5 and 6 caps of Blue GENE???

Also good idea to not take every set to failure this time. It's good to back off some what and let your body do an active recovery (at least your CNS......)

Good call, either way you'll be good to go. That REDuction is great come spring time!

Week 2 Review

Today is an off day, so I won't be training, but I wanted to do a review of what I've noticed from each supplement thus far. First I'll generalize what I'm feeling, and then break it down to each individual supplement.

Strength: Up on all Olympic lifts, and some hypertrophy exercises.

Mood: Lower stress (although I don't have much to stress about right now). Small increase in aggression. Focused.

Libido: Very high.

Muscle Endurance: Much higher than normal.

Energy: High around workouts

Pump/Vascularity: Higher than normal.

Size: Recomping; +3lbs from the start of the log.

BlueGENE

My libido is always high, but I noticed it heightened even further the first few days on BG.

Muscle endurance has greatly increased, and is still doing so. Each workout is better and more intense than the last.

I also associate some of my elevated mood to BG.

GlycerGROW

It's easy to associate this product with the insane pumps and vascularity I've been getting during my workouts. Within the first few sets I feel pumped and full, with rock-hard muscle density.

GreenMAGNITUDE

I've noticed increased strength and less body cramps, which I suspect is from this supplement.

WhiteFLOOD

Insane energy and pumps. Great focus. Supreme intensity. WF compliments the BlueGENE greatly, or maybe the other way around.

***********

I was thinking during my workout yesterday that this is one of the most synergistic stacks I've ever used, but after further thought I realized that it IS the most synergistic stack I've ever used...Bar none.

All of these Controlled Labs products are great, and when combined, the results are phenomenal. I've really enjoyed the improved performance I've received so far. I think things are really starting to kick in now, so I'm excited for the next couple of weeks.

I've only got another two weeks left of GreenMAG and BlueGENE, but GlycerGROW and WhiteFLOOD will last for about another four weeks.

Just had a small cheat meal. I'm at my parent's place to help them take down the Christmas decorations, and my Mom made some lasagna. Whole wheat lasagna, though!

Classy lady she be.

Yessir. My Mom's all about whole-wheat pasta! :D

Well, I've got to find a way to work HIIT back into my program. I'd really like to keep doing it, but there's no way I'm going to be doing it after fasted training.

This is what I'm thinking...Kick the long-duration cardio on Saturday and Sunday, and do HIIT both of those days, and then do 20min fasted cardio after fasted lifting.

I'm going to make an order from NP tonight, and I'd like your opinion on something...

BCAAs or L-Leucine?

Since I'll be doing all the fasted training, I'm considering just buying the Leucine since it doesn't convert to glucose.

I decided I'm not going to go overboard on my order. I'm pretty much just going to stock up on 2-3 months worth of my staples. Mathematically that's the better choice; however, I will be picking up a couple post-MMV2 products.

If you guys didn't know, AN is sending me a bottle of OVERDrive for doing a video testimonial, so that will be included in my log after the MMV2. (The MMV2 cycle won't start until mid-Feb sometime)

hows the blue gene treating you guys?

It's treating us both well!

.. greatly heightens sense of well being/mood prior to working out. Enhances mind/muscle connection considerably. Focus is great. I couldn't ask for more!

.. shoulder joints are considerably better, but not 'cured.' I give this credit to my daily swimming sessions as well as the Cissus in the Blue Gene. I stopped USPlabs' SuperCissus RX a week ago .. the change in joint health has been in the past week.

.. I am picking up a bottle of PAL's Incarnate at midnight tonight. I'm gonna make sure that a Cissus product of some sort will remain in my arsenal as a new staple. Come to think of it, I'm still undecided on whether to try out Primaforce's CISSUS or to stick to Incarnate. Anyone?

I'm hitting the gym shortly, but just so that I won't forget.

Happy New Years to all! Hope the new years will bring you all a lot of joy!

I think both are good options. I have always recommended Primaforce's Cissus to everyone I know, but PAL is also a great company.

I say if Incarnate has worked for you in the past, go with that. If you'd like to try a Cissus-only product, go with Primaforce.

As you said before MIND OVER MATTER ;)

Well, I've got to find a way to work HIIT back into my program. I'd really like to keep doing it, but there's no way I'm going to be doing it after fasted training.

This is what I'm thinking...Kick the long-duration cardio on Saturday and Sunday, and do HIIT both of those days, and then do 20min fasted cardio after fasted lifting.

My .02 here.. you're talking about doing fasted training upon waking, then cardio as well following that? I would not do so personally. If you are using that fasted-training protocol, I would either do a weight session, or a HIIT/cardio session -- but definitely not both. After fasted weight training, your body will be screaming for replenishment, and BCAA's you're consuming thruout your workout would be used for fuel by the body for cardio at that point, negating the effect (or i.e. - becoming expensive 'fuel').

As for leucine vs. BCAA, again, in fasted format my preference would be the correct 2:1:1 BCAA ratio, maybe higher in leucine if you want -- but not leucine alone. As we spoke about, leucine is just part of the equation for muscle feeding/preservation, not the sole answer imo..

Thanks for your supplement and training help, Snag, Dragonfly, and Viking! I really appreciate it.

Here was my order:

1k BCAAs
"Sixpack Stack" (1 AP + 1 Recreate)
1x ATW Isolate Cinnamon Bun
100g 1-C (I just ordered 300g, but I figured I'd get another 100g since it was on a big sale)
1x Dymatize Elite 12-hr Vanilla
1x ATD Nutracaps

I've got some bulk leucine leftover at the house (maybe 200g worth), so I'll probably start adding an extra 5g or so to my 40g BCAA intra-workout drink.

I'm about to go get a fasted session in, but I've got some huge stomach cramps right now. I don't know why. It's not anything supplement related, I know that. It could have been from changing my diet a bit yesterday. I honestly get so messed up if I go off my diet now. It's quite pathetic. My body rejects everything nowadays.

Yessir. We'll see where it takes me. I wouldn't have bought it if the deal wasn't so good, but I figured that comes out to $30/supplement, along with a free bottle of Y-RD. Since I'll only be taking 2/AP before my workouts, and I only lift four times a week, that's only 8caps/week. That's almost 3 full months of AP @ ~$10/month.

And then Recreate is a fat-burner I was curious about, and somewhat different than most things I've tried for about the same price as everything else ($30), so it just made sense all around.

I can see you really grooving on the Recreate, think you'll be a fan!

Y-RD really didn't do much for me.. which is really funny, because Jacked just rocks my world. My wife loved the Y-RD tho, she commandeered my supply of it!

2 AP prior to training - can you explain this format?

Even if Y-RD doesn't work, Free is my favorite fat-burner!

From what I understand, taking the AP prior to fasted training helps drain glycogen storage for energy expenditure via increased mitochondrial oxidation.

.. here's my New Years order. Got my Cinnabon and Cup Cake Batter ATW. Incarnate for some kick-a$$ intra-workout endurance and stamina, alongside of healthy joints. Neovar II X 2 to test out another nutrition partitioner. Kre-Alkalyn because I am very curious to try it out by itself as the sole creatine in a stack, so come February, I'll be giving it a go. Two Atomic Meltdowns in order to maximize color and perhaps some added spot-fat loss. 'PowerFULL' @ the recommendation of Irish for some added GH benefits. Jacked, because it was $20 bucks .. and I need to figure out what the hype is about. @ 15 servings (@ 3 scoops/serving), it's worth a go .. So we'll see here .... It'll be a 100% unbiased review of Jacked.

.. I spoke with Irish about throwing down for the Recreate/AP stack, just because the price ($54 after 10% off) made it so much more appealing to give it a go.. I wanted to run it up until the anabolicminds.com bb comp, but I just don't have the $ to throw down for it, and I'm just to cautious when it comes to .. well, no need to cause a fuzz here.

Day 15

Schedule

8am: Wake up

815am: 6 BlueGENE, 10 WhiteFLOOD, 1 scoop GreenMAG, 2.4g 1-C, 2 Basic Cuts

9am: Start training

10am: 200mg P-Slin

1015am: Finish training, Slam post-workout shake

11:30am: Meal 2

Workout: Day 3 - Delts/Hams/Calves (fasted, supersets):

Atlantis Lateral Raise: 70x22,22, 75x17, 80x16,15,14,14, 85x13
Prone Leg Curls: 65x23,20, 75x17, 75x15,15,14, 80x14,13

EZ-Bar Upright Rows: 80x20,17, 85x15,14,14,13,13,12
Good Mornings: 95x19,16, 100x13,15,14,13,13,13

Standing Calf Raises: 50x15,14,15,12,12,12,12,12 (20sec rests)

It was a great workouts all around. Strength was up for the most part, intensity was high, drive and focus were both great. Endurance was way up there.

My lower-back was pretty sore, and still is, which is why I didn't do real great on the GMs. I'm sure it's just tore up from doing SLDL and Squats on Tuesday. Other than that, everything was great.

Some diet changes:

1) Meal 1 has been cut from 60g/120g (protein:carbs) down to 30g/60g. I take one heaping scoop of protein, 1/2cup of oats, and 30g WMS.

2) Meal 2 now has mixed berries (blackberries and blueberries) instead of the blueberry juice.

3) Meal 5's carbohydrates (1cup cooked rice) has been swapped for a calorie-equivalent amount of fats from almonds.

With the exception of lots of broccoli and some refried black beans, all carbohydrates have been cut after Meal 2.

I'm excited to once again be dialing my diet in. I'd like to really lean out over the next few months and get as close as I can to pre-contest BF levels without making myself feel miserable. - I'm guessing I'll get down to 6% or so.

Nice order, Viking!

I almost ordered two tubs of ATW protein, but since I'm cutting my whey shakes down to one scoop a day now, I don't need all the extra powder.

Glad I could help with the 1-C. I really love that stuff, and for the price, you just can't beat it, and Neovar looks very interesting. I still haven't tried that yet. Let me know how that goes when you start using it.

I'll gladly be the tester for the AP+Recreate stack. - You know I won't BS.

Yes. Only 1 cap is needed for this..

If you are running an extended format of fasted training, I would use 1 AP waking/1 following workout (that is, unless you're using Pslin here).

AP used in conjunction with low carbs (~20g or so) becomes a powerfull fat-loss tool, so you could use this in a variety of ways if you choose.
