Court gives green light to "boobs on bikes" parade Tue Aug 19, 10:20 AM ET

WELLINGTON (Reuters) - A New Zealand court has allowed a parade of topless porn stars on motor bikes to proceed on the main street of the country's biggest city, local media said Tuesday.

Auckland City Council had sought a court injunction to stop the "Boobs on Bikes" parade, scheduled for Wednesday, saying it breached a bylaw banning offensive public events.

But Judge Nicola Mathers said while opponents may find the parade offensive or tasteless, the fact that 80,000 people had gathered for a similar event last year meant a significant number of people did not agree with the critics, New Zealand Press Association said.

The parade on Queens St., featuring leather-clad local and international porn stars, is part of an "Erotica Expo" organized by self-styled "porn king" Steve Crow.
 
yeah, it happens every year, the promoter brings in all the top name porn stars and has a parade down the middle of town, it gets packed with mostly men and kids - lol

one porn star got punched in the face this year by a protester.

These religious wars were fueled by porn, without porn those wars would have never happened, look at the availability of porn and murder rates, PORN KILLS.

Acutally, 97% of murderers did watch porn over 30 minutes a day, this was conducted by the Anti-Porn&Murder organization.

So before you say porn is harmless, think again.

Porn desensitizes you. It is one of the reasons divorce rate is so high and that there are so many STD's. Porn gave people the idea that sex is just for fun, not intimacy. Further along with the desensitized effect it lessons your moral understandings. It becomes and addiction, and addiction means your on the same level as an animal. Responding only to instinct.

I did watch it growing up, lived off of it in HS. I mean hey though when my first time came I was swinging like a champ because I knew it all..... but I see how much it effected me today on the path I am. It is an ever going desire that I battle, having a past of that and not being a virgin I desire a girl greatly. Its just not good for me having done all that.

Yeah I see it from a religious viewpoint, jack is right. I am resisting typing biblical reasons right now. Tempting :thumbsup: but oh well, no one listens anyhow.

If its a religous thing then hey thats your decision and i wont criticise but to label it the same as murder, well are you saying you were a murderer in high school. No. There's nothing wrong with a bit of porn.

I've done horrible things to people before because I watched porn, things so horrible I sometimes can't believe that I did those things...I can still hear their screams at night..

not to sure if there is jest in this or not. Either way, a light hearted thread, is now not so light hearted evidently
 
I won't mock Zero's religious views but I would caution someone against porn not to enter a 'boobs on parade' thread and expect to give a Theological dissertation and expect to have anyone pay attention :)

However, some Christians believe all sin is equal and based on their particular views, porn would equal murder.

new zealand compared to other "civilised countries" is still a safer and a far better place to live than almost anywhere else in the world.

Did you know that our police still don't carry guns on their person in their normal duties.

i do not support "boobs on bikes" nor do i support or endorse porn but i do support freedom and tolerance of others from porn freaks to religious nuts, as long as you don't hurt anyone on your crusade then i'm fine with it, hurt someone and it's a different story.

As for zero's claim that porn gives people the idea that sex is just for fun and not intimacy, it is a little off mark IMHO. The Greek and Roman civilizations were having orgies and treating sex as a game way before even Christ rolled into town and guess what? There were not porn videos, strip clubs, magazines or internet to corrupt them. Strange that?
