Yeah right, thats a bogus claim. Sure you can look that good without juice, but considering how much these guys physiques change in such a short period of time theres not a chance that your statement is true.
They don't have jobs other than acting. They can afford trainers, dietician's and work out all day getting in shape. It can be done if you don't have anything else to do but that.
Sir Foxx I agree but not in yhat time frame, most of them are on. Ryan Renalds in Blade trinity.(he is on the gas)Some of the replies in this thread are hilarious. Most of the actors mentioned here are not using anything but hard work and a good diet. If you think you can't attain those physiques except through steroid usage then you really know nothing about training and diet.
Don't yall commit 100% of your time to getting bigger and leaner?I know I do.I have to constantly remind myself that I work so I can pay for my gym membership, food, supps, and the internet. My life literally revolves around getting bigger and leaner. With a little more emphasis on one or the other at different times.
No, that is just sad. There are a ton of other things in life that are much much much more important than big muscles and working out.
The Machinist is a phucked up movie, but a good one. You should def. see it. Good ending to it.
Christian Bale in Batman wasn't just 220-230lbs. He was fairly muscular and looked normal.
To rebound from that starvation state is one thing, to rebound from it and become muscular like he was is another. He isn't exactly 18 yrs old either.
Rebounding from a competition diet, I've gained as much as 23lbs in just a few days (mostly water and glycogen). It's totally doable to make that rebound.
I think he needed some type of "assistance" just to get that skinny...
But, one has to look at things like this, whenever you hear about a movie coming out that summer, remember that you almost NEVER see the actor promoting, doing parties, or etc for about 13 months before the movie is said to debut...
Before I am legend, Will Smith disappeared for about a year. You did not see him on any shows, or doing any parties or any charity events, nor any where on any news, etc.
I do think that SOME of them go into seclusion when they are getting ready for a movie(especially if it entails getting size, or getting extra skinny) So, some of them do have that 12 month period of just eating and training for a movie. Im saying some, not all.
You're younger than he is though.

That has nothing to do with it. Plus, Bale has exceptional genetics.
In the bonus footage of branchs dvd he says how much weight he gained in a short period of time after his first diet and it was insane!I'll watch it later and let ya'll know.Or maybe someone else knows and can share. He said he ate so much the first day he wanted to puke at the end of the day but couldn't.Then he woke up at 2 in a state he had never been and was driving around trying to get a milkshake and had to make one from stuff bought at 7-11.He said his heart was always beating real fast and he was breathing heavy and all after that, and never did that again. It was alot of weight in a very short period of time.He was young,a teen, and he clearly has great genetics.I'm not siding either way, just throwing the facts out there.
Youth has nothing to do with it huh ? This is the 2nd or 3rd ridiculous statement you've made so far. You are very naive.
No, you just don't know very much. I can see you're going to be one of those people who when they look in the mirror and don't see the physique they want or desire, will blame it on not having access to the drugs that "everyone else is taking", instead of taking a long, hard look at the fact you don't know how to train or eat properly because you had to act like a know it all when you were young.
A tip for you. Look up DC training methods and actually learn from it and see what can be done through diet and training in as little as 3 months.
You forget about muscle memory. Bale has always had a great, great physique and great genetics. With the right training and diet it would be very easy for him to do that. Somethings very wrong when you think drugs are the only way to achieve a good physique.
That has nothing to do with it. Plus, Bale has exceptional genetics.
Ok, the branch warren thing was funny. I think IFBB bodybuilders, any of them, are bad examples and should be left out of this thread. They are ALL on the sauce, and A LOT of it. There should be no debate about this, it is freaking obvious.
I don't get why everyone is arguing with Reaper, he is pretty much dead on the money. People, especially people who are older than 15-19, don't make these kinds of gains naturally. Like I said before, if you can show me how to do it, then I will fly you out to San Diego myself and you can train me to gain a natural and sustainable 20 lbs in 8 months. I would love to go from a cut 185 to a cut 205 by next spring and not screw with my hormones. That would be a 20 LBM increase. That would probably mean I would have to bulk up to around 225-235. Gain that much naturally in less than a year?! 185-235 is 50 lbs. You'd have to either being trying to be a fatty (IE eat PF Changs and Chilis on the regular) or get on some serious sauce, and if you went the fatty route, I bet when all was said and done you'd be back at your original weight.
Reaper - Your avatar is hillarious. :toofunny:
Steroids, yes, probably low-dose test (like Stallone)..
But I'm kinda shocked to see nodody brings up the HGH cocktail.. This stuff runs rampant in Hollywood, a TON of actors use this.. even some females (more than you think!)
females ?

Well, there's Debbie, his wife right there.
I'm sure Roger was on sauce too.
So far no one has really given any GOOD evidence that supports a drug-free transformation in Hollywood in such little time.
There's really no evidence either way. We're just comparing rumors and hearsay.
Stallone was in every movie from early 80's up. I remember way back in the day when he befriended Mr Weider and Ahnold... He bacame ripped in no time.
You know what though? I really appreciate that he's bothered to publicly state it for the latest rambo though. If a public figure can put his rep on the line and honestly say 'yeah, I'm a frickin' old man, of course I feel the need to juice in order to pull off the physique for another Rambo. And you Know what? steroids/HGH can really help improve the quality of an older man's life, so screw it'. As much as that tarnished his rep among the general public, if anything he should have gained respect for some open honesty. I mean, come on, we all know that the major bobdy building pros, the more noteworthy pro athletes in other sports, some actors both past and present, and musicians have used steroids during there careers, but few will admit it.

That's not a drug-free body pantera. Very poor comparison.

Haha, speaking on the same subject there was just an olympic athlete on the radio speaking about how they 'worry about the steroid testing coming up since there are so many steroids in meat these days'.
I heard they look at it as the fountain of youth.
Don't give him too much credit man..
Sly's my boy, one of the people I've personally gotten the majority of my inspiration from (in fact, if you notice the quote in my signature line, that's from the last Rocky flick). BUT.. he didn't come out & talk about his usage until he got popped trying to take mega bottles of test & HGH into Australia while shooting Rambo.
In multiple interviews back in the day, when they asked him about how he got so ripped for Rocky IV, he said he ate nothing but burnt toast, protein powder, and a "super strain" of amino acids (uh, yeah -- AKA.. HGH).
But on the bright side, at least didn't do like a lot of guys caught redhanded, and say it was like his assistant's or some lame sh!t..
Um, how about those pictures and the timeframes? That seems like evidence enough for me.
