I just started doing 2x per day workouts last week. There's a good gym in the building I work in, so its easy to hit a few sets during my lunch break. I usually spend 30 minutes at the gym in the afternoon and 60-90 minutes in the evening - too early to gauge the effects but Im finally getting all my muscle groups worked. I was putting less emphasis on forearms, abs, etc because I never had enough time.

lucky bastard:) If I actually had better access to a real gym, Iwould do just that
It really does not cut into recovery like people think
How many old school bb's and stong men had physical day jobs and trained....more than people think
There is some truth to the old adage;
You're not overtrained-your underfed and underrecovered(is that actually a word?)
Anyway, I am off to ride my bike 5 miles to bally's also known as the metrosexual "we frown on deadlifting" gym:rofl:
Of course today is squating day, so I will have to wait until the gel haired fellows get done pumping up their 13inch arms with those 55ib curls in the power cage
Or, maybe I won't wait:nutkick:
Go Edmonton!

i like it. when i'm on cycle and bulking its especially good. its summer, im not in school, i just started prop and tren and i dont work til 10pm on any day of the week. so i have a chest/back; delts/arms; quads/hams split spread out over 5 days and split am/pm so i can hit each muscle group for 40 minutes with about 12 sets, go home and stuff my face, nap, whatever and go back in 6-8 hrs later

Can you be more specific Achilles? Were you on cycle. What was your schedule like. I'm seriously considering giving it a shot, but time is not something I have a lot of to fluck around with, so I want to make sure it's a chance worth taking based on feedback from you fellas. Very helpful thread :)

Usually, after my first meal in the morning and after class I would hit the gym. I usually work 2 body parts per day(still do). After A little cardio workout, i'd do my first bodypart(monday would be Chest/abs, tues, back/lats, wed shoulders/traps etc). So my first workout I would concentrate nothing but chest, then my next workout, which was usually 6 to 7 hours later, I would concentrate nothing but abs. Diet was top notch, eating 7 to 8 times a day. Only thing I was on which I am currently using now was creatine(if you consider ON a supp I was on that too, but I have been on that forever). Anything else that can be helpful feel free to ask.

Did when I was in HS, but I would burn out to quick.
same here, it was a senior year thing. I even did cardio.. no anabolics, stupid idea overall for me thanks to Muscle Fitness. Lost a lot of fat though, strength didn't move...

if I get time I'll do it again, but you're crazy if you go more than 60minutes at a time. It's so hard to find that time though, 2 gym trips of 1 hr. each, plus time to drive to the gym, plus time to eat, plus time to sleep, plus time to just relax (if there is such a thing). I'm thinking 1 day on - 1 day off, 2-a-day training. Anything more is crazy in my book

man you gotta be either juiced up or a complete newbie to really really benefit from 2-a-day training methinks. Not including a perfect diet and perfect timing of sugars and aminos.

i assume your talking about weight training and muscle growth only?

cuz most colleges pratice 2x a day if your on any hardcore sport. i know i did Crew and well hardest thing in the freaking world. 2 pratices a day at least 3-4 days a week double pratices wiht 6 days of pratice total and usuually had sundays off or raced that day. so only 1 day off a week and my body was a temple. it was just amazing i could do everything and was pretty strong too for not even hitting weights to much.

also all these big freaking dudes winning everything train for long periods of time 1-2 times daily often no? all the dudes in arnolds day trained for hours and hours daily. im sure it wouldnt matter if they did it 2x a day which many did.

wow i shush now. anyways i wish we could all agree on something that works or something that is harmfull.

some people still workout for 1-3hours. lately my workouts have been 30-1hour and im feeling pretty goood. just some food for thought.

clip from college. this is present clip im guessing i dont know any of these guys but its cool

Even in Arnold's day, it wasnt something that they did daily for months, upon months @ a time... i see where it may benefit if it was cycled on and off...say 4-6 weeks...

Most colleges do 2adays, but it's not as if their doing heavy weights 2times a day, or heavy endurance exercises 2 times a day...its normally a mixture
