They are a nice hybrid of free weights and machine equipment, nice change of paceI have never used Hammer Strength Equipment but I need to try it out sometime
I never had either. I really liked them though & they were a nice change of pace!!I have never used Hammer Strength Equipment but I need to try it out sometime
It really made me wish we had them at our gym. There is one other 24hr gym close by that hubby & I may check out to see what equipment they offer. Not getting to use Hammer Strength equipment is one of the reasons I miss the gym, they work really good when training alone.
The owner of our gym recently mentioned they are getting a hack squat HS soon. That will be the only thing HS they have once they do. I'll be happy when they get it!I'm a big HS fan for certain exercises. The OHP and hack squat are 2 of my favorite machines. Couldn't do my workout the way I like without those 2.
I am a fan, so far, as well. Thank you!!I am a big fan of this stuff so far. I think its day 6 using it at 3 pumps. I have noticed an overall better mood. My wife also commented on my mood. haha. Happier during the day. More upbeat. I'm loving Sustain Alpha! Good luck with your log. YatesWifey04
I think I may have too, but my legs were about burnt. I'll definitely push for it next Sunday!!I think you had another pull in you, at least. Nice work.
Thank you...and I hope so!!Congrats on moving up to an official "plate"! Moving that weight off the ground is only going to get easier now.
Thank you, Kat. I enjoy seeing & following the other logs too!Great progress both with your shape and the weights! So glad you are logging on here! I love seeing the changes!! Such a great reminder!

Thank you! I try to not mis gym days, but sometimes other things are just more importan. I still don't like missing my workouts though...so I do my best to do what I can with I have available at the time!!Pretty nice improvising today.
I haven't tried the tops of my feet yet, but other areas I apply have thinner skin with less fat...with the exception of my midsection. I'll try the tops of my feet as well.I read a few threads on this and the OG version the last few days. In regards to application site, I have been applying this stuff on the tops of my feet and my clavicles for the last few days. I have notice a significant difference in feeling. May be due to the skin thinness in these areas. Try it out and LMK if you do too. Feels like it immediately kicks in!

I guess my phone didn't load it last time. Not very suprised by that!Bottom of page 2!!
It may not be your phone this morning. My notifications for AM seem to be a bit off too. So, it may be the site. Who knows!?!I guess my phone didn't load it last time. Not very suprised by that!

I do feel more natural at a wider stance. So, I will definitely adjust it to a more "natural" one, and see how I do there. Thank you for your input & advice! I'll take all I can get...as I'm definitely still learning.I don't see a whole lot wrong with your movement. IMO, your squat is a little high and you tend to 'good morning' it a little bit.
But, I think that could be easily fixed with widening your stance. Your femurs are quite long, so sitting down could be difficult at such a narrow stance. I'd recommend moving your stance to shoulder width or just outside shoulder, with toes pointed slightly out, and I think you'll see an immediate improvement on both of those. Practice will ultimately fix depth and other issues too, so If you decide this is the stance you want just keep working at it.
Nice work Amber.
Register is right on. Also, play around with footing. That could make or break it, as well. You are on the right path. Thank you for this. I'm definitely "hippy". I naturally, even when I was really thin, have wide hips too. So the wider stance with toes out a bit more does seem to be more logical & natural for my frame. I like how he talks about about locking the back up too. I think they will help me too.Register is right on. Also, play around with footing. That could make or break it, as well. You are on the right path. If you have time, give this video a watch.

Flat foot/barefoot for deadlift is optimal. Putting a slight incline at your heal will be better for your hip drive/strength. Something with a slight incline at the heal will do it. A lot of standard athletic shoes have that. You'll figure out what your body wants as you go. It's telling you what to do.Thank you for this. I'm definitely "hippy". Now, shoes. Would different shoes help? I deadlift barefoot, but am wondering if more minimalist shoes or lifting shoes will help. I have be very conscious of staying on & pushing through my heels.
yates84 wears Adidas lifters. He really enjoys them, but doesn't feel like they would benefit me....because my squat weight is still pretty low. Thus, not putting a lot of weight on the midsole of the shoe.I wear chucks, and previously did both squats and deads in flat boat shoe and shoe-less. Those all worked for me, but I hear great things about squat-specific shoes and I'm sure someone will chime in with a couple brands.
These are probably the most popular lifting shoes right now. I can attest to their greatness. Right now, my personal opinion is to just get a regular fitness shoe (cheapo is fine) that elevates your heal. When you widen up your stance, you are placing a lot more pressure on your hips. That will get you moving in the right direction.yates84 wears Adidas lifters. He really enjoys them, but doesn't feel like they would benefit me....because my squat weight is still pretty low. Ok. The Nike's I currently have do have a slight incline to them. So, I'll stick with them...since they are practically brand new. These are probably the most popular lifting shoes right now.
