YatesWifey Gets Alpha with Sustain Alpha - Sponsored

What did y'all think of the sumo? I still haven't tried them yet but want to, to see if I'm stronger.

I like them & feel they are a good variation. I didn't feel stronger; I think that is more of a mobility issue at the knees, and just getting accustomed to the movement. I kept my weight low to focus on form, since it was the first time I'd done them. yates84 was able to pyramid up, but he still wasn't near his max...I don't believe. I can say that the adductors & lower back get a damn good workout doing them in the sumo stance.

I only went up to 275 and my back is wrecked. Very nice dl variation that I will be incorporating into my routine. My back might be sore from YatesWifey04 and her super libido! I will be buying her more sustain alpha, that is for certain!

lol

Sumo's were always easier on my back. Shows how everyone is different!
Nothing wrong when the wife has super libido except time management...lol

It does show how everyone is different. Haha...yeah, timing is key when we have a 2.5yr old. We're taking advantage of nap & bedtime!!

Looks like you are turning into an animal in the gym, you have taken a page out of the love2liftkat book. Great looking workout, you should be proud!!

Great workouts going on! and who doesn't enjoy some bedroom cardio;)

Awesome work girl! Glad you posted a squat video! They already gave you great advice on getting more ROM. I struggle even now if my stance is too narrow! My most natural stance is a good 1-2 steps out of shoulder width! Just keep playing with it and you'll find your groove! Those triangle push-ups are hard core! As women, upper body strength is one of the biggest struggles, especially in the beginning! You're already getting stronger! Only good things from here!!

Thanks, Kat! I'm definitely going to adjust my stance & try to find a more natural stance that will give me more ROM. Ugh...any type of push up kills me. I can tell I've already gotten a lot stronger in my upper body. Always a work in progress!!

"Always a work in progress!! "

Keep working & Keep progressing, you are doing Great !!

Sorry, to be updating late, again. Mommy life is crazy hectic, sometimes....especially when my toddler doesn't like me on my phone.

I did get pics & measurements yesterday though.

Finished with 12 mins on the bike. This week is hubby's deload week, before switching up.his whole routine. So, I'm going to change things up a bit this week too. I've been slacking on my cardio a bit, and I can tell. So going to start adding a little in to the end of my sessions this week. Going to keep it light & down to only 10-15 mins to not burn any muscle I'm building.

My adductors are still crazy sore from Sunday's sumo deadlifts. Not sure how leg will go tomorrow, but I'm going to push &make the best of it anyway!! :) Libido is still up!! :)

Seeing some serious progress there girl!! Keep it up!

Thanks guys!! Like I've said before, we are our own hardest critics. That's why it helps me to post & log here...I'm reminded that even when I don't see it myself, I'm moving in the right direction & still progressing.

Waist and belly looking flatter and that is gooder !!

Squats felt really good today! Changed my stance up....wider with toes pointed out slightly more...and it felt much better. I was definitely able to get a better ROM & deeper squat. I'm still 'good morning' a bit* the end of my sets when getting tired. Trying to remind myself to kerep my shoulders back & locked* (like was suggested in the squat video shared by BPS). It helps me, when I do. Didn't get a video this week, but definitely will next week. I felt really strong today as well. I felt a lot more comfortable with more weight on my back for squats...not sure if it's based solely on my strength going up or changing my stance. More than likely, it it a combo of the 2.

Libido is still high!! Hoping for an early bedtime for the munchkin, so I can have some time with hubby!! ;)

Lucky Hubby !!

The banded hip series video in the link below is something I do before every deadlift or squat day, and I just saw the other video in there too about opening the hips.

I don't know if y'all have access to bands, but these may warm you up nicely before squats.

Finished with 10 mins on the recumbent bike!

I felt great today. Actually slept in (6:30am) this morning, & didn't get to the gym until almost 9am. It was great to just take my time & watch cartoons with nugget before heading out. yates84 took the day off. He was needing some rest before changing up his routine...work has been kicking his butt. It felt weird to be in the gym all by myself (gym was a ghost town) though, but I was really able to focus & get in a good session!! Arms are already a bit tight, so I know I killed it!

Also, today makes 90 days since I decided to get serious about getting fit & started my lifting journey. I was so unhappy with myself. Although I was almost 30lbs lighter than I was pre pregnancy, I still had a ways to go. So glad that inner voice kicked in & pushed me to get off my butt!! I may not be where I want to be, but I'm so much happier with where I am!! Thank you all for the support I've received since being a part of AM!!

They are only a couple dollars each, so it'd be worth getting your own. They also come in handy in lots of other lifts.

Amazing work the last few months. You're looking great.

This should be like AA, you should get a chip for 90 days of health, congratulations on your new body and out look on life. It only gets better!

RegisterJr I'll definitely look into them. I've seen how others use them too, and wouldn't mind having my on!

Thank you, everyone!! The support here is awesome!

You look amazing! You have come a very long way in 90 days, just imagine what your 180 day pics will look like! Just keep pushing yourself and putting in the work, and any goal will be possible

I blame my high libido for my currently pissed off hip. My Siatica has decided to act up. I hope it eases up before tomorrow. No way it will tolerate me doing deads.

Holy crap...I had some serious chest pumps going on. This was the first time I'd felt them, and I LIKED it. :)

Then I decided to step out of my comfort zone & do a Zumbathon with a friend. It was to raise funds for a local parks & rec ball team...so for a good cause. It kicked my ass. 1.5hrs of dance/cardio definitely convinced me I enjoy lifting much more.

Day 20....

Sciatica was still in a bad flare this morning. Wasn't sure how I was going to get through my work out, as I hobbled around the house getting ready. I knew I was going & I was going to do something, even if it was minimal.

Warm-up
3 sets of 8 back hyperextensions

As soon as I stood up after that 3rd set I was feeling some relief. So, I decided to roll with it.

Deadlift
65x8
75x8
95x6
115x4
135x2
135x1 *didn't have my grip right...so only made it up once*
135x2

Lying T-bar Row
30x10...felt a little light
40x10x3

Assisted Wide Grip pull-up/Neutral grip pull-up
45(assisted weight)x8/45x6
45x8/45x6
45x8/45x6

D-handle cable row w/slow negs
30x12x4

Alternating seal row
12.5x10x3

Got through my work out just fine. Sciatica flare was still present, but not nearly as bad. I took a nap with nugget a little later in the day & woke up with no pain. I honestly think going & pushing through my work out helped to relieve whatever pressure was causing the nerve to act up. So, thankful I went & it actually helped.

I'm still at 4 pumps with the Sustain Alpha & application areas are still clavicle, over kidneys/lower back, quads, and 1 pump split between arm pits & tops of feet. I'm definitely feeling the test boost now. Libido is high, I'm feeling stronger & more energized most days, and I've become a bit more aggressive with my driving. :D So far, I'm definitely enjoying the effects of it!!!

My wife used to get Sciatica pain very bad, after a some regular visits to the Chiropractor she has it under control. (Just a Thought)
