Trying out Xtend for the first time and interested in knowing from others who have used it, what is the best time to take it?

Before or after your workout?
 
Both Matt and I take it during workout and at night beside the bed if we wake up.

We mix it with black cherry propel and a workout concoction.
 
I workout first thing in the morning so I take 3 servings and sip on it about 30 min after pre wo meal and continue through my workout and another serving right after workout and one before bed

I take two scoops of extend with two scoops of vasocharge 45mins before workout and two more about 7hrs later great recovery stack
 
I sip on extend through out the day and have tried multiple methods around workout time.

What worked best for me:
20G Dextrose + 1 serving extend 30 minutes preworkout
then one serving of extend in your postworkout shake.
This method gave me the most energy and best pumps by far.
 
1 serving before.

2 servings during.

1 serving after.

this will supply your body with 20 grams of bcaa's, glutamine, and citrulline malate on top of it. watermelon is delicioso :-)
 
Watermelon is the best tasting supp ever. I think that it's even better than Syntha-6 (which says a lot)!!! I get awesome results from xtend whenever I'm taking it/have money for supps. I take mine like this:
3 heaping scoops in the morning
3 heaping scoops pre-WO
3 heaping scoops post-WO
3 heaping scoops before bed

This stuff is well worth it in my POV, and if run at a good dosage for your bodyweight (i'm 227lbs @ 9-10%) you will get visible results! I used to take all kinds of caffiene drinks pre-WO (NO Xplode, White Flood, Endorush, White Flood), but this stuff does more of what I want (build/maintain muscle, promote NO production, aid recovery).:bb2:

YES IT IS!!! Just got through drinking it now :thumbsup:

What I do is take 2 scoops before and 2 scoops after I work out. A long time ago when I first started using it I would take 3 scoops pre/during/post workout since I was almost 200 lbs but went through it too fast.

The only other supplement that I like the taste better then Xtend is Storm creatine in grape :food:
 
Just started a small container of the watermelon and it is YUMMY :)

I mix in 5 scoops in a large 1 gallon container.

I drink around 25% of it before my workout, on the way to the gym.

I drink 50% of it during my workout

I finish the final 25% on my way home from lifting.

Unless I have WMS, in which place I drink ~70g WMS, 2-3 scoops Xtend, 2g Dicreatine Malate, 2g Beta Alanine, 3g Glutamine immediately post-workout
 
How much water are you mixing 3 scoops in? I have tried it twice now, and both times it seems like there has been alot of residue as if it is not all completely dissolving.

20 ounces. Shake it before each gulp.
 
How cold is the water you are using?

I see the problem. You got a mousse on top? Just fill it completely. 3 scoops is good for a full bottle.
 
jjohn uses the word mousse. Don't listen to him - he has teh ghey.
 
Do you prefer ICE or Xtend? Just noticed per dosage, ICE seems to be cheaper, but obviously doesn't contain Citruline Malate....not sure how important that is really.

Is daily optimal intake of either around 40g?

Well, I use both. I don't see nothing major between them, but the taste :)

Why?
Because they use ajinomoto for their source of BCAA's, which is the source used for studies of BCAA's. Other companies use a cheaper source, some from China.
