How does alcar and plcar help?
How does alcar and plcar help?
It works kinda like the search function. Gets you where you wanna be without wasting time![]()
I would think 8-12 hours apart would be fine as well.I tend to completely drop fish oil when running ArA. But I'm sure you could dose it on off days if you wanted.
I do 3-4g fish oil in the morning daily, and depending on the cycle have done between 2-6 X-Factor preWO... Ive tried XF without fish oil as well, honestly never noticed a difference.
A few years back we had XF loggers use various amounts of fish oil (some users 1g, other 3g, etc) who had used it without... just about nobody noticed a difference.
I can say ditto to this. First time I ran it, 1 gram of XF without GMS and LCLT. I kept my fish oil dosing and was also using cissus. Worked out great. Second time I ran it, 1.5 grams of XF with GMS and LCLT. I didn't use fish oils at all and no cissus. Didn't really feel that different from the first time I used XF.
I think in the future I will just stick with a straight 1 gram XF, probably stop using fish oils due to the "just in case" mentality.
Great feedback, I get a TON of feedback between email, fb and forums and the vast majority notice no difference in fish oil vs no fish oil, and also hear many saying they didnt notice anything different with the preWO dosing protocol than they did with the new preWO only protocol.
Of course everybody is different, but without a doubt there is WAY too much emphasis on dosing protocols and what to or not to take with ArA... end of the story is take X-Factor or XFA and enjoy the gains![]()
And well all know how reliable anecdotal feedback is
We know that Ara is more selective for muscle tissue when exercise is initiated after consumption -- dose at other times and it may not end up where you want it. Will you personally "feel" any different? Doubtful. But the response via the body will be different.
Do you feel mtor being activated after consuming leucine? Doubtful.
It's going to help + it's fairly cheap. So is the inclusion of GMS with XF/XFA not considered that big a deal then?

Yeah, totally get what you're saying there. Prefer to minimise what new supps I take at any one time these days though, as otherwise you just don't know what's working. XF/XFA and GMS seem like they work well together though from what I've read, just also seen quite a few people saying they saw no additional benefit with GMS, so didn't want to waste my money.
Im sure you will still be happy with your progress

If there's no difference then why even put it in XFA? "This was added because it made no difference."
Just trolling ya of course. I honestly think the boswellia is a good addition since LOX inhibition, while a localized phenomenon, will prevent pre-existing joint flareups without affecting hypertrophy. Now you just need to remove the fish oil and it's good to go
Haha, thanks for the props on the boswellia inclusion and perhaps we will see a new version of X-Factor Advanced down the line, you never know.
Johnston: Remember that for about 8 years people were raving about X-Factor before the gms and lclt recommendations came to be and that most who have used with and without these extras notice very comparable results. They are certainly not necessary additions, but are inexpensive additions that can add to your X-Factor/XFA cycle slightly.
A carnitine salt is usually always on hand for me. ALCAR or LCLT, but I may give PLCAR a go for an extended time sometime in the future. Would be great with ArA.This.
You definitely will enjoy whether you use the extras or not. I love ALCAR for other purposes so it already features as a staple in my routine and a secondary benefit is that it helps my Ara run.

Think of PLCAR as more for physical performance while ALCAR is more for cognitive function. How does PLCAR differ from ALCAR in terms of benefits etc?
Jealous. Interested to see if you note anything after using it for a couple weeks. Will be using PLCAR for the first time along with xfactor tomorrow... I'm on week 3 with xfactor. No doms or anything. Also stacking it with DAA.

I hear ya. I will definitely make note of any changes. I'm using 1.5gms of ArA for the record.

I have pretty intense DOMs today after upping my X-gel dose to 2g a couple of weeks ago (tbh though, its one of the only 'pains' I enjoy getting). I must note, I have switched up my routine so that weekly I focus on on a new Advanced Overload Technique and so I had kind of expected the DOMs to occur regardless.
Okay, interesting. I'm not sure if I'd be willing to up my dose to 2gms but who knows. Today was chest and back day and I took:
1.5 gms of Xfactor
2 gms of DAA
2 gms of PLCAR
1.5g works perfectly IMO. No need to up your dose, was just giving you my experience.Certainly more cost effective to run it lower
And if I recall, Jiigz has mentioned from his experience that it wasn't to drastic of a difference between 1.5 and 2g.Gotcha jiigzz...thanks!
Oh, and why only 2g of DAA?Okay, interesting. I'm not sure if I'd be willing to up my dose to 2gms but who knows. Today was chest and back day and I took: 1.5 gms of Xfactor 2 gms of DAA 2 gms of PLCAR

You think I should up the dose of DAA?
Most go with 3g. 3.12g was the studied dosage. You think I should up the dose of DAA?
If you're using it as a test boost supplement, then yes up to at least 3g.

Okay, will do. Even on off days too?
Anytime. Let us know of any other questions. Thanks bud!
Yes.

So forskolin with X-Factor is not a good idea?Sharing info:
Arachidonic acid-dependant inhibition of adipocyte differentiation requires pka activity and is associated with sustained expression of cyclooxygenases
Excerpt: inclusion of either FORSKOLIN or (another cAMP elevator) ABOLISHED the ability or arachidonic acid to induce differentiation in the presence of DEX, and INSULIN corroborating the notion that the inhibitory effect on arachidonic acid requires elevated cAMP
Basically you get leaner. But does this allow intra carbs with ara pre workout to prevent fat gain?

Ah ok, my bad... I misread that sciencey bit lol. Good to know.
