myofascail release and motor activation. Pretty much if something like your foot or forearms are sore you can roll them out on the peanut to loosen them up and get blood flowing. I like using it before I squat and deadlift for rolling out my feet because it loosen up the the feet and ankles while stimulating the nerves at the bottom of the feet responsible for sensory information. Its actually pretty cool, if you tell someone to reach for their toes without bending their knees, and then roll out both feet for 1 minute and have them do it again they will go deeper (usually) the second time around....what's the peanut for?
