Maple syrup is the watery sap of the sugar maple boiled down until it is a specific viscosity and sugar content. Essentially, it is flavored sugar.

It's pretty good with cereal. If your diet lets you have those extra carbs, CC and Cheerios pretty much tastes like a bowl of cheerios /w milk.
