and soon gonna pick up a 50cc scooter for daily. gas prices are just to crazy for me
 
2004 civic 2 door stick shift

hey any of you car dudes, im getting terrible gas mileage for some reason. car has 126k, mostly highway. just got a new clutch put in, new spark plugs. i change the oil regularly (synthetic). what could be the reason for the horrible gas mileage? what should i check?

vacuum leak, maf sensor, o2 sensor, fuel pump but most likely vac leak if u dont hav check engine light. also, do a compression test, maybe a piston is bad. oh and i hope u did ur timing belt

timing belt is getting done very soon, possibly later on this month. would that affect gas mileage?
 
ahhh i just wish i personally knew a good mechanic so i could give him a list of these things to get done. they never give a $hit about your car just want money..

Google reliable shops ur area, id do it if u were in chicago, civics are easy to work on. U could do it urself

Dump 2 bottles of Lucas Injector Conditioner into a 1/2 tank of gas and run it until you're almost empty. (not continously, normal driving)

Have your fuel filter changed afterwards.
 
Wife's car and general family hauler = 2005 Trailblazer EXT LT fully decked out with leather, heated seats, auto leveling, etc. Plus, re-programmed ECU (best mod I've ever done).

My car = 2006 Audi A3 Premium currently as stock, ECU flash in the future.

I investigated (Google is my friend): The Formula had a little bird on the back, and 2 giant scoops on the hood. Very smooth. Those were the days, lol.

This week I'm driving a 4wd jeep liberty cause when I landed at the Detroit airport it was snowing
 
my daily is an 02 ram 2500, cummins, 6 speed, 4x4 w/ 5" exhaust 35's and soon to be quad adrenaline when i get back to the states.

my baby is a 94 toyota supra 6 speed with an 80mm single on it. way too many mods to list. driving this is "almost" better than sex... haha.
