Supplements that you take indefinitely,or at least most of the time.

Mine are cissus, fish oil, a mineral supplement, vitamin D, citrulline and ginkgo biloba.

Everything else, including creatine, I stop taking for a bit.

The stuff I take I consider essential. Vitamin D especially as I always have low levels if I do not supplement. Cissus and fish oil because I feel they help my aches and pains, ginkgo for cognitive function and citrulline for pumps and overall better health.

I also take a mineral supplement with zinc, magnesium and calcium as sometimes I do not get enough of these things through my diet. Magnesium especially.

How about you folks?

I have gone to CEL. SNS/CEL is manufacturing I know I can trust/depend on for quality, and it is affordable. Not the cheapest, but probably the best price for that level of reliability.

You also don’t need much TUDCA to get most of its myriad health benefits, liver protection aside. A single cap of 250mg is overkill when looking at longterm use.

Nattokinase is an effective way to manage the progression of atherosclerosis and may help reduce atherosclerosis. I take it because the western diet/food is horrible (I’m not perfect in “dieting”) and with that, the amount of sodium and saturated fat in our food now, is VERY high. Obviously, I ultimately dictate what I eat but it’s a tool I subscribe to.

I have started using this stuff. Have you been taking it long? Noticed any improvement in eyesight?
Yes, I have been using it for almost 5 years. It makes a noticeable difference for me. At the end of the work day my eyes use to dry out, turn red and feel very tired. This product helps relieve that for me. I also play competitive table tennis and notice I have an easier time tracking the pong ball when I take a second dose before I play. That may just be placebo, but I must say I think it helps.

I take most of what a lot of you take but one thing I’ll add as a staple for about 16 years straight: olive leaf extract
I’ve been using it for about 5 years straight now. It’s my favorite standalone immune boosting ingredient. The data on oleuropein is promising for many things, such as it’s potental effects on anti-aging, anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, cardio and neuro protective, etc.

I didn't consider this one, as I tend to think of protein powder as food rather than a supplement.

i think of it as a supplement...i'm not buying protein powder at a grocery store, i know you can but lets be honest, chances are...most of us on this board aren't going to the local grocery store for our protein powder

I occasionally buy a pack of Reign energy drinks on Amazon because they’re cheaper than the local supermarket or supplement shop. Does that make them an energy supplement, or a grocery item? How about when I buy a variety case at Sam’s Club, where I am typically otherwise exclusively purchasing grocery items like meat, etc? How is me getting those different from buying a tub of Folgers coffee beans? Neither offer significant calories or nutrition, both sources of caffeine, etc.

Just some food for thought. Or maybe, supplements for thought

May I ask what brand you take? I currently am taking the swanson.com brand as I had COVID for the 3rd damn time 🤣. Thankfully, the 2nd and 3rd times were mild, still feel a bit run down but nothing like having it back in 2020.

I consider coffee a food item, and soda pop as well, and I see energy drinks as a fusion of the two. So yes?

But I’m saying it doesn’t really matter. If I eat my protein powder in a bowl of oatmeal, is it food now? What if I don’t have oats and eat it as a cold sludge. Protein is a food item to me. Some days I consume it, others I don’t. It supplements my daily protein needs, same as chicken breast does.

I consume 5oz pomegranate juice daily. It is a food item. I do this strictly in lieu of pomegranate extract capsules, because all the studies I liked were with actual juice. But I see it as a cardiovascular health supplement too.

I also consume dates for the same reason daily. Still 140 calories of fructose.

Would you say these 2 are basically interchangeable since the composition of them is so similar?
No. But if you have to pick one, I would choose pine bark extract.

Bro I have been known to eat gas station sushi.

I can appreciate a dry-aged ribeye, and a perfectly temped pour-over coffee giving the gas time to release from the fresh grounds. But I am still going to enjoy a Big Mac and a hot cup of burnt gas station coffee on the highway quite a bit - I live by the 80/20 principle, generally.

and thats fine, and like i said, i don't consider protein powder a food...i add it to yogurt to supplement the protein in the yogurt

you can add spices to food but does that make them "food" all of a sudden, ehh, i don't think so....i also use cinnamon powder daily as a supplement, not a food

Swason, actually. I never got COVID. I also supplement with P73 oreganol oil tho. Which has great data on opposition to mostly anything illness wise.

I have taken generic pine bark and also Pycnogenol, I swear, the Pycnogenol is just so much better. I dont know if it is a placebo or what. It definitely increases pumps and libido.

The generic stuff either does nothing, or in large amounts, makes me feel tired.

I sometimes take GSE powder in my shake, I cant tell if it does anything or not, but I like it better than the generic pine bark because it doesn;t have any bad effects, even when I accidently add too much to a shake.

I know oreganol oil is great for SIBO and other gut issues where bad bacteria is a problem. Never tried it myself.

the only thing I use every day is Helios. I rarely run out and rarely forget to apply it.

That may be my issue. I got some from BulkSupplements.com years ago and there herbal **** is trash. I like Horbach, they are the same company as Piping Rock and Carlyle. I use their Zinc Carnosine as it is the best value for that particular type of zinc. Their CBD is also pretty good and cost-effective.

Yeah Carlyle I’ve had good quality from as well. My current D3, Vitamin C, and Glutamine (for acid reflux control on blast) all works nicely.
