Welcome To Anabolic Minds! Introduction Thread!

Hey yall I'm b_rad, I'm new on here but after I got out the marine corps I've never truly been happy with my body. I mean it's ok, but there's alot more growth, strength and cut that iwant to accomplish. I'm 185lbs now, but I've never really hit the gym just done exercises using my own body weight. So I've recently started hitng the gym and I like the results so far but definitely would love to pack on some strength and mass but also keep a good 6 pack as well lol.. If anyone has any pointers on how and what I should do to reach my goal that would be great. Love lifting and can't wait to see what I can achieve within the next year.. Thanks for helping us new guys out lol. 💪💪💯💯
Progressive overload is what makes you bigger and stronger. Over time, you must add a little weight, or a rep when you can, or a set even to the exercises you are doing. And it’s about consistency, showing up routinely and trying to make small improvements - so don’t get distracted focusing on huge impractical leaps, but rather just doing the work & enjoying that process.

People think 5lbs isn’t a big improvement. IF you could do that every week, and you can’t eventually, you would add 260lbs to the barbell. A guy benching 135 would be closing in on 400lbs in a single year, which is virtually unheard of. So you can see how even 5lbs here or a rep there when you can take it will make you much stronger over time.

You will have bad days & great days, which are largely irrelevant. Your average progress is made from the 80% of days that will be totally average, where you showed up & just did your best that day!

Welcome to the forum, THANK YOU for your service!

I’m gonna echo everything @Hyde said above. It is consistency over time that makes it all work. Get your diet in check and pick a routine/ training style and stick with it. Most training methodologies work as long as you implement that method w consistency. Just remember, Rome wasn’t built in a day, it’s a marathon not a track meet, and any other cliche.

Hello gentlemen, my name is Hippo and I am a new member. I have been lifting since August 2023. The name is just for fun, I am natural but I do try lots of supplements to see what works and whats BS. I am into bodybuilding and right now I am trying to lose about 10-20 lbs of bad meat so that I can look more defined and vascular. I am 6’5 and about 250 lbs, my ultimate goal would be 230 and just keep packing on size from there. I appreciate any and all advice thank you for reading

Hey All!

Been reading through the forum a little bit, wanted to share bits about myself and hopefully pick up some tips along the way.

Currently 3 decades young. Sitting at 192 roughly, 5’10, and if my scale is correct about 17% body fat. Use to always workout in HS, did a lot of weight training mostly. Recently got back into exercising. During Lockdown (Michigan) started up Bodyweight only, been doing calisthenics on and off the past few years. Been officially been consistent since beginning of Dec. I’ve enjoyed the freedom of Calisthenics for ease of use.

I’m a Sales manager for a national phone provider. Studying to switch career to Software Dev, but trying to get into “shape” as I’ve always been a “Hardgainer”. In HS, at my current height, I was sitting at around 140-150 lbs. having said that, looking to pick up as much info as possible to help me reach my goals!

Hello All. Just joined the site and enjoying the plethora of knowledgeable content. Been into fitness and working out since my years in the Marines, 46 now. Came across this forum looking to expand my knowlege and find help. Little background, I'm 5'10" 175. Not a single issue medical wise, good bill of health. I just know I'm at that age its time for some help. lol I plan to make that slow crawl, not looking to compete, just for myself and well being. Just scrolling down and reading the intros, looks like a great community.

Hey everyone,
New here, but not new to the game.
Been around the bodybuilding and peptide scene for a while — always learning, always optimizing.
Looking forward to sharing insights, asking the right questions, and being part of a solid crew.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Welcome!!!

Hi All,

I'm new here. Over 50, I've been lifting since 2021-2022 depending on if you count the first year of machines only, 1 set per exercise before I had any knowledge lol. In 2022 I started free weights, 3-4 sets etc. I was always a bit heavy, not fat, just what we called 'husky' lol. I'm currently cutting and very close to back to my high school weight. Currently at 192, down 14 lbs since March 4, 2025. BIA scale says I'm at just about 27% BF so I've still got plenty to lose, but I'm to the point where I can see a little bit of abs when I flex.

Hey, new here, occasional lurker that finally got bothered enough by the thread viewing limitation for non registered users to actually register.

I'm in my 20s and experimenting a bit with PEDs. Not a professional bodybuilder, I just want to be big and ripped lol (who doesn't). So I thought it was time to join a forum and post my cycle logs.

New here so here's a little bit about me. 62 y/o male who realised last year that I needed to make big changes in my life. I weighed 95 Kilos and through diet, giving up alcohol and hard work at the gym, I am now 72 Kilos. I feel like I did in my 30's and I'm much stronger than I was then too. My biggest issue is trying to keep, and ultimately, gain lean muscle mass. I'm fully aware that this is more of a challenge for me than most due to my age, but I'm not a quitter.

Looking forward to gleaning information on this site for assistance in achieving that.

Hey all, lm bronzedgod, 38 years old steel worker in Canada who has been a recreational lifter since 14.
Ive recently taken up a bit of running as well. Work out 5 days a week. Run a 5k mondays, tuesday legs, wednesday back, thursday chest. Always workout before work. I did workout 7 days a week until recently when i got a new position at work that has me much more physically active. Was too much. Dealing with some tennis elbow in both arms.
Never experimented with peds. Always said id wait until i was older and balding. Well im nearing 40 and my best hair days are behind me. Recently been looking into mk 677 mostly for recovery. That led down a rabbit hole of SARM curiosity. Started reading about test bases for rad 140 and realized I was out of my depth.
Not scared of needles but im not a pro athlete or body builder. I just love the way lifting makes me feel and look and im starting to feel the mileage more and more, so here I am.

SARMs are like oral steroids in that you can’t stay on them - whatever increased progress & recovery they yield would be temporary, but then you have to come off and now you will have suppressed test levels too that needs recovered. So you end up robbing Peter to pay Paul.

If recovery is the goal, Mk677 & GH-releasing peptides as well as healing peptides like BPC157 are things you could look into. DHEA is also something that may be beneficial to supplement without suppressing your testosterone.

I’d consider getting your total & free testosterone levels checked, as well as DHEA & estradiol/e2. Knowing where you are at with those can give you a better idea of what you’re working with.

Hey thank you for the response. I appreciate the advice. I intend to get blood work for complete testosterone and liver panel to get a baseline before diving into any of the SARMS. I have done some preliminary reading on mk677 and bpc 157 and tb500 and feel more comfortable with trying those. ill get a glucose monitor before i commit to trying mk 677.
The rad 140 info I could gather was somewhat spotty. Ive seen half life reported as low as 16 hours and as high as 72 hours. The reported suppression and pct guidelines also seem to vary widely so i'll definitely be getting blood work before messing with it.

Hello everyone!

I'm new here! Please call me Mark. Sometimes, I like to pick things up and put them down for fun. That said...

First off, thanks for letting me be a part of your community.

I've been a lifter for a good part of my adult life, but only in the last year really started supplementing and PEDs in general, though I've researched and considered for over 20 years. For me, this journey got more serious as I transitioned into my 40s. If anything communities like this one have taught me a tremendous amount about myself and my own body, and I think it's overall made me a more stable and highly functioning person.

My stacks are pretty light as far as PEDs go - Test Cyp, Oxandrolone (short 4 week stints, no more than 50mg/day), limited AI use. I'm planning to start my first tour of Tesamorelin soon and have on occasion (but not currently) run 3 months stints of primo.

My supplement stack is a bit more expansive and varies depending on what, if anything, I'm cycling and I tend to watch my labs super closely which directly inform adjustments along the way.

Anyway, I have a ton to learn and really am looking forward to joining a community where I can do exactly that.

Hey y'all, KII0ST(pronounced like coast), former semi-pro Soccer player battling a negative mental space for roughly three years after my ACL reconstructive surgery. I will admit, that I am far too blessed to be stressed, even though I'm positive I will find some insignificant thing to stress out about. I'm 6'2" and prior to the injury, I was sitting somewhere in between 225-235lbs with a max deadlift of 505lbs. My current weight is 290-295 and my goal is to get back down to 235-245. I am on TRT, consistently going to the gym, and I'm finally connected with a phenomenal church and support system. Thanks be to God for the hope I now have!

Hi Im DMitch, a 45 yr old veteran who is looking to improve my physique and overall well being. Im currently a stay at home dad who has a passion for guns, weights, sports and spending time with family. I hope I can find legit advice and supplements to help take me in the right direction. Im currently 260 6'3 but wanna build more muscle and get out of the 20 percent fat.

The more you lean out, the better you will build actual muscle tissue as your insulin sensitivity improves. Get the bodyfat down first, then work on building back up slower.

Make a post in the AAS section.

Include height, training history, some current lifting performance metrics. Might also help to get an idea of your calorie needs, estimated bodyfat, and goals.

Hey guys, been incrementally lurking. Seems like lots good information here. Been learning and applying education in layers to my journey. I have my diet and routine dialed in (or so I believe). Hoping to continue to refine and find ways to keep growing through programs/diet optimizing, supplements, and ped’s. 35/M,195lbs 5ft 11in. I have varied between 8 and 15%~ BF. My biggest goal is to put on impressive muscle mass and remain moderately lean.

Looking forward to learning!

Hello guys, looking forward to learning more here on the forum. I feel like forums are 99% more helpful than videos and random articles online, and I doubt this will be an exception.

Hi all, I'm Greg and I'm looking forward to being a part of an active community.
I've had a couple of major changes in my life recently and I want to get my 57 year old body into line with my 27 year old attitude
The shackles are off with regards to extra supplementation so I hope to pick your collective brains for info.
Thanks

Welcome!

You plan on taking a break from Reta at some point, after the holidays or something, and seeing how things go without it?

I ask because now that you’re much leaner, a lot of feeling younger and the extra energy is probably from not carrying that 15% extra bodyweight! Sleep will be better, blood will be less thick if you didn’t use an CPAP, you aren’t digesting as much food as often. Reta really helped get you there, but it’s your diet that will keep you here.
