It’s not a lot of meat maybe 2 bites. So yeah 1 dove makes 1 popper. Bird shot is usually not hard as they are so small it usually passes through. When I clean them I usually feel for shot and if a bb is in there I just squeeze it out.Excellent session!!!!
I have never had dove, how much meat can you get off of one of those lil things? Just enough for a popper or two?How hard is it to get the birdshot out of the meat?
We usually hunt for 3-4 times for them and vacuum pack and save them up and cook one batch up. More of just a fun activity and a tradition than anything really. Then hopefully when the littles are older they can do the cleaning and show them how to prepare them!
