VolcomX311 + Needtobuildmuscle Contest Log. NeedToBuildMuscle & MrSupps

Wow, 201lbs after tonight's cardio with shorts and a shirt on. I must be dry. This is a first dipping this low.

That sounds awesome man. You've put the work in to get there..that's for sure. Can't wait to see the results! :bigok:

200.5lbs this morning. Am I suppose to do a refeed the day before I take pictures to fill up or something?

Yah Sam, to keep it simple do about 800 grams carbs in about 8 hours, a mix of starches and sugars is fine but more starches is best for me. If you have pslin or something like it use it. Don't drink too much water less than half than what you normally would if you can manage it. Stop eating before 10pm and you shoud be flushed out by the next morning. This is a very simplified version that has worked well for me. Keep your fats quite low about 10% of the total intake, don't worry too much about protein, you can't lose muscle while you're gourging yourself. Add in a couple two scoop shakes if you like, not too much water though. You're going to feel very bloated but like I said that should clear up by morning.

Thanks DW. Tried to rep you but I got rep blocked.

Ok you can go for the 800-900 grams lots of time to clean up... make sure you maintain moderate carbs during the day of the shoot to keep you full...

Thanks a lot DW. I may not have made my 195lbs goal, but I finallly hit 200lbs in the final hours of the contest.

200.5 this morning :bigok: When I carb load, I could get as high as 206lbs, like I did sometime last week and damn near had a coronary.

glad I read that carb up post Weaver, planed a 300 gram carb up sunday for my Monday 6pm shots coincidentally

Volc hows your strength holding out man? You're a strong mofo dropping 20lbs had to put a tiny dent in that Brock Lesnar strength lol, no carbing has depleted what little strength I had.

30 min jog on the treadmill
20 min on stairclimber

Cardio was great today. Again, though the contest is basically over, I still have more cutting to do.

Same here bro, 3 months from now and I'll be another 2-3% bf lower.

The best part about it is for most that never do drastic cuts of weight, once they lose that stored stubborn stuff it doesnt just shoot back on with one cheat meal ya know?

On a good carb up I'll gain 10-12 lbs but only keep about 4-6 Yah I don't plan a lot of activity around this...

Yeah, my strength did take a little ding, but not too, too bad. Chest is the only thing that really dropped, everything else seemed to maintain.

Looking huge brah (and meaner)! I wouldn't want to run into you in a dark alley when you're pumped up like that!!!

My God bro you have got to be one of the biggest badest Asian guy!!! My whole family of 8 uncles combined from Guam couldn't fit your tank ass body. You deserve it though man with all your hard work and determination, that body show's it right there!! Nice job and really look lean bro.

Volcom has always looked like a beast...now he just looks like a mean AND lean beast!!

Congratulations Samuel!! :clap2:

You look awesome, brah. And you successfully managed to maintain your mass and thickness. Very nice.

Color me impressed.

And I'll bet your wifey is impressed also. :yup:

Thanks everybody and thanks for following along and the encouragement. It was a good time had by all.

Thanks Milas, you should be on stage right about now, so good luck and kill it.

Yep, was on stage, I ended up in the largest class of competitors too! I was thinking about the AM and NTBM brahs with every pose. I think I did pretty well, I'll find out tonight at the finals! I've already ate more today (after the pre-judging show) than I feel I have in a week! I just hope I'm not too bloated for the finals!!!

Looking great Samuel, your arms and shoulder show your love of Oly lifts too. I can't wait to see this train keep on rolling down the tracks. You look a lot better and your strength is still there to boot.

Yeah, the catabolic train hit me as I was cutting hard. You were able to recomp for leanness while maintaining strength. KUDOS!
